Jay's got the right idea about the preference to your deck Patavian. But theres a wide variety of sideboardcards such and, withcbane orb, paralesene, knuckles burning oil idea, also you may want to consider even trumpet horn for a suprise amount of damage or what not.
Thanks all for the comments and constructive criticism. I'll post my responses and thoughts below.
First off for Jay, I agree more lightning maulers would be great in this deck, though if i had to choose i'd probably lose the chainwalkers to make that fit. The chainwalkers are nice, especially with a turn 3 paladin but the drawback has stung me more than once so far. There are actually alot of 2 drops in this deck that i wouldn't mind losing in favor of better cards, but i'm holding out to see what Gatecrash brings for that (the 1 drop slot is also a little light).
As for Odric, the guy is a beast, and has won me several games. In fact both of my 4 drops (Odric and Hellrider) are win cons for me, so i wouldn't lose him for the world, in fact was considering getting a third Odric. A third Thalia seems nice as well. I agree Mikeaus could go, but again right now i'm happy with him enough to hold him in the deck until Gatecrash gives me something better. None of my 4-drops are too slow, I've only had one occasion in the 20+ games I've played with this deck where i wasn't able to get Odric out when i had him, and that was a straight up mana-screw game to begin with. Conscripts however is tougher to get out, and that's why i'm keeping it at 2 for now.
cweaver, the decks that give me the most problems are the top tier decks. My FNM is a heavy aggro playgroup. Hence why so many Nearheath Pilgrims. Luckily, this deck holds up very well against many Aggro decks, with G/W humans the only one that's given me a run lately. The real problems are the sweepers and stallers in midrange and control decks. Thragtusk is a problem, as are centaur healers, Resto Angels and Jace. So pretty much Bant.
DJ, I had two Dynacharge main-boarded for a while and they worked very well for me (I liked the flexibility of Overload). I took them out in favor of more creatures, because leaving mana untapped seemed like a waste. I definitely need more reach though in this deck, so I may put them back in or perhaps go with Rally the Peasants. Burning Oil seems like a good idea as well. I have a few Riders of Gavony for sideboard along with some O-rings. I just can't figure out what would help me win vs. Bant.
Alrighty, i personally havent used mikaeus before, but i have tried odric, and when he is on the field, its likely a losing battle already anyway. My deck has significant speed and usually kills my opponents off by about turn 4/5, so as you can see with my build and experience with odric, the game was already won or lost by that time. Another card i treid was that Hellrider, and i must say with my own personal preference, that card was the single worst card in my entire deck, not once had he won the game for me.
Takeing all of my experience with those cards however, was with my deck, which is a hell of a lot faster. So if Odric and Hellrider are your win cons, let them be.
Now for some suggestions:
1. I like the idea of Ajani being a 1/2 of in Boros.
2. Also Restoration Angel, would be a good card to consider, it can save your creatures from kill spells, pump Parish, Or even flash out Kessig Malcontent for an efficient amount of damage.
3. As for the Dynacharge/Rally the Peasants, i would highly recommend putting atleast 2 copies of one of those cards in your deck, they especially have good synergy with your Hellrider or Odric.
4. Lastly, you should definantly ditch the Chainwalker for Lightning Maulers.
SB:
1 Thalia
2-3 Rootborn
3-4 Rest in Peace
3 O-Ring
2-3 Resto Angel
X Other Stuff
Not a fan of Mikaeous but it is as close to Township as this build can get, so I guess it is necessary.
Thalia and Rootborn harass the Verdict style control. As does the Resto simply to use a Cavern to put down a threat Verdict cannot get right away.
Bant Control is a bad match unless you are very aggressive and can punish any slowdowns. They are desined to recover life, and there is little you can do about it. Once they hit 6 mana, it is down hill from Sphinx's Rev.
As for my cuts, I think you already can out aggro decks, but I feel Soulbond is what will drive the deck further. I like Chain-Walker bonded with literally anything.
Currently my worst matchups are against bant because they can just completely wipe my board. So what are your thoughts? (ALSO I NEED A FOURTH CAVERN!!!>:0)
I think that your 3 color for this deck is just too inconsistent with the theme applied here, it seems to be about turn 5 before you can actually do anything significant. Correct me if im wrong. I would personally just experiment with the boros colors alone compared to the 3 color you have applied. there is and will be very much more for this, ad considering that there is already much that we can tinker with amongst creatures, spells, and even planeswalker's (Ajani, Tibalt(yes i know its n insane idea but id like to play test it)
Why are people scared enough of mayor that they would kill it via verdict? would they not save that for a bigger threat?
Also malcontent isnt all that bad, you can throw for say 5+ damage in a turn with it?
you play and flip it and he eventually give you an army with no further commitment. They could burn a Sphere on it, but that is a sphere not spent on a threat you are more invested in.
I don't like Malcontents b/c they work best on an overloaded board, which is where you should be winning or getting blown out. It will work vs Planeswalkers, I will concede that much.
As for malcontents, granted he is better played on an overloaded board, and by that you should be winning. but what happens if they had just layed down a smiter, desec. demon, or something else big the turn before, or some other misc. scenario, then is when i just lay down Kessig Ftw. Also adding to the fact of inadvertently hitting PW though. But you are right you should be winning by the point of his usefulness, usually.
What are people's thoughts on using Riders of Gavony in a deck like this? Similar to Odric, it could help end a stalemate, but it impacts the board the same turn it's played instead of waiting another turn to take advantage of Odric.
Very interesting, sideboard card i would assume. But yes a very good card indeed, i will try and get my hands on a playset of these, and then test them to see how well they work. Thanks for the idea.
It is solid if your are has ZOmbie, or more importantly Lingering Soul/Token decks. It is also nice to name Vampire vs Olivia. It is a Valid card should you be able to find room for it.
Yes, namely Olivia (Vampire) is a good and valid target lately. Also Demon, for that damned Desecration Demon. So i will find these as a 4 of, in either side board or perhaps 2 Main Decked.
-Here's another pair of off Card Idea's, Curse of Stalked Prey, and Curse of Bloodletting. Both being red, in my Boros theme, on page 1. I think Stalked prey could fit in very damn well. Low mana cost, instantly impacts the board for me, and will pump my creatures to outrageous amounts of power, Namely Lifelink and Doublestrike for key pump sources.
-As for Bloodletting, i like it a hell of alot, especially because of my constant doublestrike and lifelink that is thrown around in the first few turns. But the thing is the mana cost, 3rr. By the time i have 5 mana i would rather be casting either two small creatures or 1 big creature/Zealous Conscripts, Which could and usually does end the game in an instant for me.
So my question to all of you, What do you think of these two curses being put into this deck. are either viable? If so which ones, why do you think they should or should not be put in. Am i correct for thinking these to be viable? Thank you, Apply critiques as thine wishes.
I think curse of stalked prey is a great addition to think about. I've seen it work really well for players who aren't expecting it, Lets face it who is? Doublestrike will get double counter shenanigans and it will be a blast try to see how big you can get each creature.
This card will be an obstacle for control. Cuz with Thragtusk I'll take pokes all day long just to gain it back, but with this card I have to act very differently on my play strategy and make sure I keep reliable creatures out to block, holding up on my draw and counter ability. (O ringing the enchantment is my only option I can hope to draw, other than the obvious creature removal when they get too big)

Thank you for your input, i agree that this could be a slap in the face for control decks, and it, if not dealt with, will become a giant problem for them very quick. Question about it again, how many copies should be run? im thinking 2 myself, but possibly a 4 of? with a card that impacts the board and does so much for me and in turn can be devastating for an opponent, how many copies is enough copies?
I am very glad to have realized this card viable into this deck. because it seems to me that it will drastically change the face of my decks capabilities, and evolve them further. Lastly if i may ask, what do you think of my first paged deck. Is there anything that could be added or taken away to improve it but still have it be fast and devastating by turn 4-5?
Also i changed the deck list n the first page to current use, sideboard and main deck. Trying to find a way to put 2 copies of Curse of Stalked Prey in, anyone have a Suggestion on hat too take out? Personal opinion is Kessig Malcontent, Other opinions and ideas however are requested. Thank You.
There isn't really any protection. The only thing i've found useful for board wipes or bounces is ajani and playing only what you need to remain a threat. If you have a paladin bonded to something, there isn't too much of a need to unload the others.
Other than that, i'd be eager to hear of other responses to board wipes for boros colors.
Rootborn Defense would be a viable option and even if you don't have anything to populate. It would protect against supreme verdict, as for cyclonic rift and terminus... well is there any thing we can do about that in these colors?

Correct, Rootborn, stops verdict, and has already been suggested i believe.
As for Rift, and Terminus, With these colors, there really isn't anything to stop them, (So far). I do however have 3 copies of Thalia Main boarded in order to slow down controls ability to bounce/wipe my board. Sh may not do much but that's 1 mana more that they don't get to use, and it puts their plan behind a turn unless they find a way to get rid of her, in which case i usually just bounce another one to the field.
I now realize more than ever how good this deck can be, and how much this deck gets its ass kicked by control with hardcore sweepers....
Played at FnM only two rounds though.
Round one, t1 parish, t2 Thalia, t3 silverblade, t4 parish bond, t5 insert kessig, cloudshift kessig, swing for game. it was amazing.
Round Two, spirit tokens and more spirit tokens. All this guy did was either verdict, terminus me game one and kill me off with tokens after the dust had settled. Game two, i got too 31 life with nearheath and silver blade bonded, with a parish and a nearheath bonded. Then i drop kessig, cloudshift him, and he is down too one life, exactly 1. Next turn terminus..... then midnight haunting, my turn land... hes still at 1, his next turn flashback two lingering souls, play a snapcaster target midnight haunting. 6 tokens. okay... my turn again, LAND, ****, hes still at one keep it cool, his turn, 2 intangible virtue, and a drogskull captain, all his tokens swing, finishing me off.....
He had 1 life, and i had 31 when **** hit the fan, then he comes back and destroys me because i draw 2 land. i got pissed n rage quit.
ill keep Thalia, drop the 4 Searing Spears, for 4 Hellriders. Ill keep 2 Pillars, and add 2 Precinct Captains.
-My reason for keeping Precinct Captain is, if i have a hellrider on the field and a lightning mauler out, ill drop the precinct, haste it with Mauler, then ill swing with mauler, hellrider, and the captain, thus dropping a token for Fodder. Plus i like his FS along with a token dropper effect.
Is this alright or should i reconsider?
That sounds great. Have you thought about adding a Fencing Ace?
Thought about it but with a 1/1 DS body, its still not as useful as say lightning mauler. i also dont use Hellrider anymore because hes to slow for me. id rather be casting 2 small creatures or a resto/instant/sorcery.
So does anyone think that Auriella, or Gisella will be playable after the release of GateCrash?
Also iv added Pyreheart Wolf to the deck as a 4 of recently does, anyone else think this to be a good idea, or should i refrain from using him in this deck?

Ive seen him in any which way. I feel he is more anti aggro due to the blocker situation. However, with the rise of pillar, you wont get the 2-1 out of him. Sideboard 2 or more depending on space.

From my exp, Cavern: Human, Mayor turn 2, and play nothing else will usually force a Verdict and you get the 1-for-1 on Verdict devaluing it.
That said, I still think Malcontents is the worst card to play in any build, except maybe the token one w/ Revolt, Gather, and other tricks.
