been running a similar build to yours and I seem to get a waif in my opening hand 3 out of every 5 matches. when I take play I drop it and usually get to hit for 3 turn 2. when I ran overseers I would wind up with them way to early and after a sweep it isn't that great

So you have been able to use waif very efficiently? Also do you run Parish? And lastly would you recommend i drop the overseer's because i plan on using this deck at FNM for the first time tomorrow night. Thanks for your comment btw.
malcontents is actually pretty badass in this. copy increasing devotion with chandra, then play them for 6 damage. then cloudshift him same turn. the stacks that happen with vigilante justice are nice too. cloudshift + scripts is of course great. cant wait for gatecrash!
waif has been very efficient, I also do run 4 parish. personally I would drop the overseer but its really up to you.
As i had said i literally just added it out of thought, but i may drop it for kessig or the waifs back, whatcha guys think? and I'm still hardcore aggro with this deck btw.
Another vote in favor of Malcontents, especially if running Cloudshift.
I'm looking to streamline. I haven't been that happy with Fencing Ace unless paired with Mauler. Any suggestions on how to keep this combo-ey / aggro while streaming it down a bit?
The sideboard is completely flexible (and untested) too. I haven't taken this one out to FNM yet, so I'm a little unsure on what to pack in the board.
The Ash Zealots are completely interchangeable with the Inquisitors, depending on the prevalence of zombies (I hear they're on the wane?). Of course the double red is a small concern, especially if we're trying to cast Champ turn one.

So you wanna keep it combo and aggro, have you looked at the first page where my deck is posted. I am putting 2 kessigs in over the overseer, and i combo ever game thus far between things such as:
Silverblade/precinct captain
Silverblade/champ
Silverblade/Conscripts
ect. adding in kessig, along with my pre-existing coudshift, lightning mauler for speed, everything usually has FS or DS which is geared toward aggro, then i have the fiend hunter, trait blood, and conscripts for enough control to kill them off usually. So here's my input on Aggro with a decent combo control that doesn't throw its style off center.
Boros I think will be really solid once GC comes out. Definitely run Thalia. That card is amazing. As far as board wipes go you'll pry just have to not over commit more than anything. With Silverblades paladins though and even things like slayers stronghold, you don't need much to have a threatening board presence.
and no doubt threatening, but sever the bloodline and just about any kill or burn wipes this deck out fairly quick... GC should have some good answeres though.
I'll be honest the board wipes suck, but I think it just has to make you grind harder and not overextend...it forces you to be really picky with what you wanna lay on the board. What do you think they could print to make board wipes and burn/removal less of a problem?
That's a good question, but i think itll have something to do with the new boros ability. That or ill just have to make this deck even quicker, and or use faith's reward. What do you think they could release?
I think Really Faiths reward and rootborn defenses are the only thing that we have... I don't know if they could print anything that could really stop them...Thalia is always nice to slow them down though. How is lightning mauler?
lightning mauler is great, especially with the amount of speed it adds when shifted or restoration angeled. i hardly ever have a turn where a creature still has summoning sickness after summoned due to LM. also one thing i noticed is the synergey between silverblade paladin and precinct captain, double damage/double tokens/more fodder. its great.
hmm interesting...Right now I'm running a Naya human deck that pretty much splashes green for Mayor of avabruck and rancor and splashes red for kessig malcontents and zealous conscripts but I'm thinking of taking out the 4 elite inquisitors I have for lightning mauler in the 2 drop slot, the only problem is I don't know if I have the mana to support it
I am running 3 cavern of souls (need to bump it up to 4) 4 clifftop retreats and 2 rootbound craigs. But I'm already running 3 zealous conscripts and 3 kessig malcontents...I don't always hit my red lands early which is okay because Zealous is a 5 drop and I almost always have red sources by then and Kessig is a 3 drop that I don't always want to play right away so he fits in as well...I really don't want to add in any mountains as the mana base is really tight right now...I think once the white red shock lands come out it would definitely be a possibility
Yea it should still be up on the standard deck creation page as naya/christmas humans build. Im on my phone so I can't link it. It's also been updated without the inquisitors which I mention later in the thread! Tell me if you cant find it and Ill post it later
Run Burning Oil, even as a 2-of. It is one of the only ways to get parity vs Thragtusk. Against other Aggro, you can come out ahead.
Has anyone tested the more splashable aggro humans such as Splatter Thug or Gore-House Chainwalker?
And if you are not running Hellrider, I think LIghtning Mauler-Odric may be a solid way to break stalls. Yes, Bonfire does that, but w/o Miracle, a Silverheart may be a problem.
Burning oil seems really interesting for thragtusk problems and stalls. Zealous conscripts also deals with thragtusks lifegain which really sets them back
Placed 4th out of 40 last week, and have never finished outside of the top 16 in either of the previous 2 weeks. My biggest problem is i haven't developed a sideboard. I think with a good sideboard i could probably do alot better.
I like the above list but I would take out the nearheaths for more lightning maulers. I would also take out the odrics because they're just too slow. Maybe take out mikaues too. Hes gavony township in a creature but slow. Im assuming your going aggro and some of those cards feel like they're slowing down the deck which is hurting our plan. Some other cards to consider putting in are resto angel(just an amazing card, works really well with malcontents and conscripts) another thalia and maybe 1 or two more zealous conscripts.
