You played JESUS?!?! I heard none of his guys stay in the graveyard, and once you think you have him beat he ALWAYS comes back to win within three turns. I like...WORSHIP him.
Ghoultree doesn't belong in here (as much as I love him) as a 4 of, maybe not at all. You never want Ghoultree in your opener. He has no synergy with Varolz.
I'm not sold Deathrite Shaman should be in the main list. I'd look to run some Gravecrawler's. You have plenty of Zombies to bring it back.
Rot farm skeleton has potential for the board against control. I'm not sure what your plan is against all the hate around. Abrupt Decay doesn't seem like enough considering how heavily you are relying on your yard.

I have been considering cutting ghoultree down to 2, even in opening hand hes good fodder for lotleth. On the shamans, I've been playtesting, and they have been nothing but good to me.
i don't feel like Varolz has anything to scavenge in this list, so you might want to give him more things to play with or drop him alltogether for gravecrawlers and/or Geralfs messengers
He makes any creature gain scavenge, and plus any Boneyard Wurm or Splinterfright in your graveyard become great creatures to scavenge with.
Drown in Filth looks pretty bad. Sorcery speed removal has to be very good and since it's not a guaranteed kill spell, especially early on, milling 4 doesn't add enough value to make me want to run it. I'd run maybe a split of Putrefy and Abrupt Decay as the removal.
You want to run evolving wilds, not the gate. Cool list, I have something similar. Maybe adding mana dorks would be good. Other cards to consider: uvenwald tracker and strangleroot geist. I really like boneyard wurm, but not ghoultree, but I might run 2 for the awesome factor. Also disciple of bolas maybe? I also agree gravecrawler is awesome for the deck, even only as a 2 of.
There are two types of "graveyard matters" creatures:
- one wants to use gy as hand to play stuff from it: crawler, ruinator, varolz, dreg mangler, skeleton
- other wants for creatures to get in gy and stay there: wurm, splinterfright, jarad, ghoultree.
First one seems better, because it doesn't fold to gy hate and doesn't need enablers to even have creatures on board.
Also I don't think you should mix cards from different strategies in the same list.
There should be barter in blood or mutilate (depending on swamp count) in the 75, otherwise we're weak against aggro.
There should be decays/golgari charms in 75 to beat rest in peace.
Abrupt Decay and Golgari Charm aren't enough to combat Rest in Peace, because a good player just holds onto it until you have a dozen or so cards in your yard and then just blows you out with it. You also need hand disruption like Duress. So by the time you add up all the removal spells and the hand disruption you have to ask yourself how many slots do you have available for creatures. Splinterfright and Boneyard Wurm need 26+ creatures in your deck (and the more the better) to become effective early enough. So honestly as much as I like the idea of Scavenging a 6/6 Boneyard Wurm for 2 mana it's just not going to happen as often as you need it to.
My suggestion is either just brave the hate and hope to dodge Rest in Peace, or play more realistic creatures like Desecration Demon and Deadbridge Goliath which both offer a good body for 4 mana Scavenge cost.
I was thinking a light blue splash might be good just for tracker's instincts and duskmantle seer for the board against control. I think drown in filth is just not good enough.

I would try the following as a starting point:
4x lotleth troll
3x knight of infamy
4x geralf's messenger
3x Varolz
4x rot-farm skeleton
2x disciple of bolas
4x grisly salvage
4x drown in filth
2x putrefy
2x mutilate
4x woodland cemetery
1x forest
3x cavern of souls
2x evolving wilds
10x swamp
2x abrupt decay
2x golgari charm
2x mutilate
1x disciple of bolas
8x whatever
My suggestion is either just brave the hate and hope to dodge Rest in Peace, or play more realistic creatures like Desecration Demon and Deadbridge Goliath which both offer a good body for 4 mana Scavenge cost.
