So I was playing a Temur aggro deck pre-rotation to some moderate success (list here: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=82458 ), but obviously the Temples rotated out so I had to re-think the manabase. As many other people realized while doing the same for their 3 color decks, it became apparent that a 4th color naturally made its way into the deck. Luckily for me, the color in question was white, which has now let me go wild with the spells that I've been wanting to play for a while alongside my favorite ones from my previous build. Here's my current list:
Heir of the Wilds - this card continuously over performed in my old Temur deck and continued to do so in the few rounds I played with the new list. I'm surprised it doesn't see more standard play. A 2 drop that almost always trades up and can play both offense and defense. Can't really ask for more than that. It's also worthy to note that it can be brought back with Ojutai's Command.
Ashcloud Phoenix - Another card that over performed in the old list (it's not in the version I linked, but it replaced Surrak, the Hunt Caller and ended up being much better). It doesn't care about Crackling Doom or sweepers, makes opponents' Thunderbreak Regents and Dragonlord Ojutais awkward and requires specific removal. There is also some nice synergy with Evolutionary Leap.
Ojutai's Command - This was a card I threw in as a one-of just to see how it was; turned out it was a complete beating each time I cast it and resulted in major tempo swings. Unfortunately, I think the deck would become too slow and clunky with more copies of this card, but the one-of is definitely not going anywhere. Who knows, maybe I can fit a 2nd one in there somewhere.
Whisperwood Elemental - I'm sure I don't need to explain this one, but it was a card I wanted to try in the old list but never got around to. This thing just takes over games and shuts people out. I really wanted Sarkhan, Unbroken to work, but he just can't compete at 5cmc.
I sleeved up my list about 2 hours before heading to FNM and went 3-1; my only loss coming against mono red where I completely borked my mana sequencing in two games and never drew the cheap removal. In the final round, I got to play against a Jeskai Black list and beat it rather convincingly. I feel like this list has potential, since it's got flyers against GWx decks, cheap removal, vigilant attackers and life gain against aggro and a plethora of great spells and creatures for beating control decks. The mana likely needs work, but I like what I've seen so far. Thoughts?
Not entirely sure about the quality of my list. I have been recently toying around with one of my own, but just can't quite seem to get the mana right. The spell base feels a bit off, as well, but I don't know how it is exactly and have thus had trouble fixing it. Here you go:
The two copies of Dispel are a new addition. Haven't gotten to test with them yet. I like them in theory, though. The always threatening at instant speed aspect is nice. I really need input on the mana situation, though. All feedback is appreciate. Once the main is done, then and only then will I move to sideboard ideas.
Skyrider Elf is a fine playable card, but simply isn't as impactful as Mantis Rider, Savage Knuckleblade or any of the 4-drops I'm running. As for Kiora, Master of the Depths, I've certainly entertained the idea but I don't think my deck provides the right shell for her. What exactly would she be doing for me? Untapping a creature and a land doesn't do anything overly significant for my gameplan and Whisperwood Elemental is not only a much better source of card advantage, but can stabilize a board state much more quickly as well.
How relevant is the 4 whisperwoods in this deck? I have 4 woodlands and 2 whisperwoods. Would that work out fine ?
Whisperwood Elemental is probably the best overall card in the deck. The biggest kicker is how good it is at both closing out a game when you're ahead and stabilizing a game when you're behind. Works especially nicely with Ashcloud Phoenix. The only downside is that it doesn't work well with Woodland Wanderer, but usually the only cards I'm looking for at that point are my flyers anyway. To answer your question, Woodland Wanderer is a very good card but it's not going to swing games like Whisperwood Elemental can. I would strongly recommend running at least 3 Whisperwoods.

The mana is definitely something I'm working on as well; I feel like my list needs a 4th Flooded Strand instead of the 3rd Cinder Glade. I think almost everyone is experimenting with mana bases right now, so I think the key is to practice as much as possible to see what colors you seem to be needing more often.
As for your [non-creature] spell base, I definitely think it is too clunky with 4 Jeskai Charm and 2 Treasure Cruise. Your build seems even more aggressively slanted than mine so I would recommend lowering the mana costs of your spells. Notice in my list that I only have 3 [non-creature] spells over 2 mana. Jeskai Charm is great, but I imagine it's too slow to run 4 copies of. Maybe put in 2 more Dromoka's Commands or throw in 1-2 Valorous Stance; actually, now that I look at it, I see you only have Rattleclaw Mystic at the 2cmc slot (well I guess you can play the Elf at 2 also). Why not throw in a couple Heir of the Wilds? I'd also look into eventually replacing Surrak Dragonclaw with Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker or Whisperwood Elemental depending on which direction you want to go.
The sideboard is completely different and I would imagine that it was a liability against control decks (esper seemed pretty popular), whereas my list has a control plan with Mastery of the Unseen.
Unfortunately, it didn't seem to put up great numbers, but it's a small sample size. I also disagree with a few of the choices. Beastcaller Savant is a solid card, but I still prefer Heir of the Wilds. Ramping is great, but the 3 drops are so good that it isn't REALLY crucial to ramp to 4 asap. There have been plenty of games where I've chosen to play Heir of the Wilds over Rattleclaw Mystic just to get the aggro beats going a turn quicker. I also feel like Heir of the Wilds is much more impactful later in the game. He also mentions how good Icefall Regent is, but I cannot see how it's better than Whisperwood Elemental. It's not a bad card by any means, but I don't see how it could take over a game like Whisperwood. Not to mention that Whisperwood is a much better card against control decks. I, of course, could be wrong, but that's my opinion.
On the other hand, I definitely like the small change to the mana base by bringing in a couple of Shivan Reefs. I'll be trying out that change tonight at my LGS. Another card I would like to test tonight, especially since my local meta seems chock full of GW decks is Yasova Dragonclaw. Being able to steal their creatures to break board stalls would be fantastic; not to mention that putting a +1/+1 counter on it with Dromoka's Command could lead to some fun turns. It also dodges Valorous Stance.
So what do you guys think about the deck from the PT? What can we learn from it?

I think his mana base was... questionable. It's a lot of CIPT lands and double blue for Icefall Regent is out there.
I do like playing the full set of Draconic Roar and Thunderbreak Regent. It's very consistent. I can see the reasoning for Icefall Regent to turn on Draconic Roar more often but I don't know if double blue is worth it. You could play more basics (read: mountains) if you drop the blue Regent.
I built the PT list on Sunday and got about 7-9 games of testing in against a Abzan list, and I think I dropped one game that was super close. The other games played out really well, Ice Fall Regent was great against Siege Rhino and Wingmate Roc, Draconic Roar was good against Warden of the First Tree, and Jeskai Charm was a blowout every time I cast it. My 50 cents
I have been playing 4c Abzan Warriors (splashing R) and was using Yasova and really liked her ability. With that while getting dream crushed by Mardu dragons then 4c Esper red dragons at states recently, 2 things I noticed. The first thing I noticed was Draconic Roar is the real deal especially when it's Dragon Blaze. With that revelation, came the second epiphany, x/4+ is a must have somewhere in the 75 to combat this. So, I started looking for something for my warriors and felt I could easily transition to a Naya blue warrior build for Savage Knuckleblade. Then I saw the PT Temurai deck and really liked alot of what it offers. So I decided to move in this direction and have some questions and suggestions.
Firstly, I would like to state that I am a predominantly aggro style player, but I do enjoy some limited use of control tools i.e. burn or control. Heir of the Wilds while a great card that forces a lot of issues might not be at home in this. I believe that 4 dorks are fine especially since has all 3 main pie pieces, no I think this spot would be better filled with some Den Protector . Best card by far that G offers and one of the best in all of Standard. If she needs splaining go read every T1 deck since her becoming available. Woodland Wanderer is an amazing 4 drop for us as the majority of the time it can come down T3 as either a 5/5 or 6/6. Last I checked T3 6/6 Trample, Vigilance can be abit to contend with.
As for Icefall Reagent , it serves a purpose but not for sure if 4 of is what's needed as Den Protector is for all intended purposes a 5 drop as well. Question then being, where do we go to get an extra Dragon or 2 here w/o going 5c. Do we go Ojutai, Atarka or Dromoka, a combination of the 3 or maybe be some Sarkhan's. This could be a MD Meta call, dunno yet thats why I'm here to kinda figure that out. I'll post my prototype here soon.
Trying out Honored Hierarch for awhile to see how consistently I can get him renowned. The hope is either removal to clear way or no blocks available early. This would have the potential to have 5 mana available by T3 allowing us to cast anything in the deck. More importantly it allows us the luxury of casting our 4 drops with some protection, especially from an Ojutai's Command. I think he is more of a secondary mana dork next to Rattleclaw Mystic being primary, but if you get them both then your doing well. Dragonlord Ojutai just seems like a much better fit than Icefall Reagent, plus it's a little easier on the mana base. Left out the Lumbering Falls as I don't want to be tripped up by CIPT lands. Sideboard may need some tweaking, might want some more burn or some combination of the 3 commands available as well as maybe Temur Charm.
I've been testing this archetype ever since I saw the deck tech at the pro tour, here are my findings:
Ice fall regent blows, sure he can tap a guy, but then he just dies, making them pay 5 mana to kill your 5 drop doesn't put you ahead. He also dies just fine to crackling doom and murderous cut, and he can't block a rider, warden, or den protector, he just sucks.
Draconic roar is good, but I don't think it's where we want to be. Silkwrap is the removal spell we should be playing. Against the red decks, they will hold up pump to "counter" the draconic roar, then combo you out, with silkwrap you're guaranteed to kill something. Silkwrap also hits hangarback walker (who can slow us down considerably with thopter tokens), jace, raptors, it hits everything with value and prevents the value. It even hits things that roar can't like anafenza, nantuko husk (although they just sac it), and knuckleblade in the mirror (if that exists). I'm running 4 and I'm not looking back.
I thought jeskai charm was a great addition and it was the reason I actually picked up the deck. But I'm slowly seeing that it's not super great. Dealing 4 is awesome since it kills Gideon, but it rarely actually ends the game, the +1/+1 lifelink mode has only come up a few times (I was expecting this to be a more important part of the card), and putting something on top isn't as good as killing it outright. I'm cutting it form the main, right now I have some in the board just as instant speed burn spells against control, abzan, and megamorph decks.
I also think treasure cruise is insane here, we play 12 fetchlands, and our stuff does die so Cruising for 1 or 2 mana isn't hard. Every card in here has a high impact (except for rattleclaws obv), so 3 cards from our deck puts us way ahead.
Skyrider elf has also been amazing, seriously this guys is an auto-include 4-of. Gives you a solid turn 2 play, while being a 4/4 flier later on. I can't say enough good things about him. His one downside is that he gets hit by silkwrap, but so does rider and knuckleblade.
I had surge of righteousness over the encases, but I thought about encase last night, and it seems better against the landfall deck with a lot of green creatures, so I'll try it out. It might be right to cut a flames for the 4th encase, since I have been having problems with them pumping in response to it. I like all of the matchups except r/g landfall, hopefully the encases solve it.
If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
I haven't tested out kiora here (but I have in other decks), but I have tried out sarkhan.
The format over all is too aggressive for these guys, jeskai has crackling doom as an easy answer to sarkhan, you don't want to block raptors against megamorph, and red decks go under you. So this relegates these to the sideboard at best. It's possible that both are descent board-ins against abzan and control decks, but I'd rather just burn control to death, and I don't have a lot of flex spots against abzan (I'm basically pre-boarded against them). Kiora especially doesn't fit here, since she doesn't really present a threat, just a card advantage engine.
If you are looking for card advantage, I think that treasure cruise or den protector is where you want to be, since they are both cheap enough to cast and either play a threat or hold up counter magic.

Took the stock Temurai decklist from the PT to a game day today. First after swiss (5 rounds), lost in the finals. Felt very powerful. Lost 4 games overall on the day. Ice fall regent performed well.
So I took this deck to two game days today, with the small change of:
-1 Icefall Regent
+1 Dragonlord Dromoka
Couldn't find a Fourth regent :/
Ended up 6-2-1 on the the day, the draw was 5color abzan, who ended up 1-1-3 lol. The losses were to g/w morph, and Atarka red. Felt really good all day, May need to tweak the lands a bit, had games where I couldn't get red or blue and it was super awkward. Exert influence was really good out of the side, I really want to play a deck with 4 of them just for trolling...
This is what I've been wanting to do. I was running Ojutai's over Mantis Riders, but I think the Riders are the right call. They just put so much pressure on the opponent. Just tested the list against Atarka Decks wins and really just crushed it.
A couple thing's . If you keep getting blown out while tapped out, don't it's that easy. I don't think Atarka's has a role here . The splash damage from Draconic is just bonus tempo, if it still kills a threat it worked in that aspect . I do like Crater Claws somewhere in the 75, it's basically a Shock that scales and an acceptable finisher.
So I had been thinking of splashing black to use Kolangath, but I didn't have the mana base to work it properly so I went Temur White with Dragonlord Ojutai, went 3-1, only loss was too Cutthroat Aristocrat deck largely cuz I got mana screwed for blue in 2 games. I really enjoyed the deck now, it's a lot of fun to play. I'm considering pulling Dragonlord Atarka out, as well as the Deathmist Raptor's and put Heir to the Wilds instead as I have enough 4/4;s to make it trigger.
Went 2-1-1 for 6th at FNM tonight, low turnout due to several PPTQ's in the area and a 5k in Chicago. Lost to Atarka Red on a greedy mis play, haven't played Blue in awhile. Drew against Esper Superfriends. Beat G/W Megamorph and Mardu. Was unable to find any Sarkhan's so went with 4 Knucks and a singleton Dragonmaster Outcast, plus had to run 2 Negate's in place of 2 Stubborn Denial's, got to the control party too late. Negate was fine, the 1 extra mana makes a difference sometimes. 4 Knucks are too many as they are easily chumped. Still not sure about Beastcaller's as they can be a bit awkward at times. Mana base needs a little tweaking. All in all I really liked how aggressive the deck is while still being able to play an efficient tempo game.

I've been looking at this color combo in light of Temur Ascendancy, and the wonder card Radiant Flames. The build here aims to turn 2 hit Ascendancy, turn 3 Flames, turn 4 play a 6/6 haste vigilance trample and draw a card. Seems pretty good.
There are notable cards missing, but personally I don't like having double color cost cards in s 4color deck.

Anyway here's my list:
4 windswept heath
4 wooded foothills
4 flooded strand
2 cinder glade
1 canopy vista
1 prairie stream
1 lumbering falls
3 island
3 mountain
1 plains
1 forest
4 rattleclaw mystic
4 skyrider elf
4 savage knuckleblade
4 mantis rider
4 woodland wanderer
4 thunderbreak regent
Spells: 11
3 stubborn denial
4 silkwrap
2 treasure cruise
2 crater's claws
2 crater's claws
3 encase in ice
3 radiant flames
1 stubborn denial
3 dispel
3 jeskai charm
I had surge of righteousness over the encases, but I thought about encase last night, and it seems better against the landfall deck with a lot of green creatures, so I'll try it out. It might be right to cut a flames for the 4th encase, since I have been having problems with them pumping in response to it. I like all of the matchups except r/g landfall, hopefully the encases solve it.
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
