The Jeskai list can't afford to have one Alhammarret's Archive at least in the 75? Good Synergy with the Ojutai's Command. In matchups that we are on the ropes, can give 8 life and draw 2 cards

Previous lists in this thread use Arashin Clerics in the side. But I've heard some say that Surge of Righteousness is good in today's standard. How do you guys choose between one or the other?
I personally like the surges since it's a spell that can trigger the Ascendancy, Noyan, and fill the graveyard for delves.
I think in a jeskai list with a heavy Atarka meta the creature can be better because the positive synergy with Ojutai's Command, it will in best scenery give 10 life with one recourring from the GY.

The black splash is just so that Bloodstained Mire can get a blue source, and I figured since I was already running that then a one-of Cut couldn't hurt. I think I'll lose the Cut for Encase in Ice though, since they're largely for the same thing (Rhino) but Encase is easier to cast. Might also lose the Blighted Cataract for a basic Island or another Swiftwater Cliffs.
This looks fine as a budget/2-color version. You may want to consider playing Seismic Rupture in the main, but it's up to you and I don't think it'll affect a ton of your games. Maybe cut Pyromancer's Goggles for another Talent of the Telepath in the side, it's great against decks like the mirror, Jeskai (tokens and dark), Esper, Noyan Dar, etc etc. Good luck!
Was really happy how this ran my side board did exactly what it was supposed to do. still playing around with a few spots in the main deck and side board but all and all it was strong. the only non win was completely my fault i had trouble drawing my Sphinx's Tutelage on game 2-3 and after looking over my deck some were missing they had fallen out and i didn't notice until after the round.

Played this deck in Gameday. My friends didn't had Jace's for me and I swap it for a Humble Defector and an Archive. In sideboard I had a Cleric to test it.
I went 2-1-2. Win twice Abzan, draw against Abzan and lose to Jeskai Dark e BU Aristocrats.
Ths were my first games with the deck and I liked it a lot. Made a lot of missed plays and learn a lot. I will forget Jace's for now. Don't have and don't want to expect someone to borrow it in this days. I'm thinking in cut some number of the command, for now 1. When I hope soon can get some time to write what I thinking about this first tournament.
So I played with my UR budget list in gameday and lost 3 rounds.
Round 1 vs Abzan 0-2
Round 2 vs GW megamorph 1-2
Round 3 vs 4c midrange. 1-2
I see now why 3 color lists are important, and will consider the jeskai ascendancy. Also Alhammarret's Archive is a beast when you go off, literally decked my opponent twice. For the budget list I was also thinking of Molten Vortex as a buffer to dromoka's command (instead of monastery siege/jeskai ascendancy), which also helps to keep the board clean sometimes, or just burn your opponent with 8-10 lands (they usually hurt themselves).
I know ojutai's command is great, but if you're not using the creature mode, why not healing hands? Same modes and 1cc less
After many games of testing, I will include 2 cards main board, one to try to achieve Tutelage soon other to deal with Planeswalkers and annoying permanents in game one.
Thinking in Dig Through Time, the other card that do what I really want it's Dark Petition, but double black it's not viable because I really want to play Jeskai Ascendancy.
For the second card I think in Utter End, splashing it with a Sunken Hollow, or Quarantine Field.
What to think about this possible inclusions.

I like your ideas. I will try some of them. I don't have sure about your split of 3/3/3 with draw cards. I'm new to this deck and not sure what are the number minimum of draw cards to it work properly. Anyone did that math before?
How are the lists with less than playsets of Tormenting Voice, Magmatic Insight, and Treasure Cruise working out for you all? I think less than four Cruises is suicide and the other two will fuel your Cruises and draw you into them. I'd say that those three cards plus a set of Tutelage are 16 non-negotiable slots.
Agreed on Ascendancy, I run 3 in my list (on the previous page, though I've made minor changes to the manabase since). It's great and I often end up playing it before I play Tutelage. I've only had a couple of occasions where Magmatic Insight has been stranded in my hand, and in none of those cases was it gamebreaking. This deck wants to hit its land drops every turn anyway, so I'm fine with running a couple extra lands (I have 27). You could probably play 26 or 25 and still be able to cast Insight most of the time. It's also more flashback-able than Tormenting Voice, which is a plus.
I ran Taigam's Scheming in Jeskai Ascendancy Combo last standard and I was never impressed with it. Casting it frequently felt like a waste of a turn, since it doesn't replace itself.
At one time I considered going up to 28 lands just because of Magmatic Insight.
Now I think its correct to just cut a couple copies of Insight. Playing lands is THAT crucial, at least for me and its been working much better so far.
I think Narset Transcendent has a good spot in this deck, because it brings back our spells with her -2 and lets us dig deeper into our deck with the +1. Versus control the ultimate is awesome I went down 1 Magmatic Insight because I wanted to have as many carddraw-spells as possible and I rather have 1 Tormenting Voice more. I don't think Dig Through Time is necessary, because we can draw a lot of cards and Dig acutally does not "draw". Ojutai's Command is awesome in this deck, it is anything we need, Jace 5-8, 16 life vs. aggro, counter target Ulamog or mill 2+ cards more. Maybe i cut Narset for one more command. The Jeskai Ascendancy lets us draw and mill more cards with our 30 spells in the deck, they help us to flip Jace faster and we can sac it to the Dromoka's Command. I am not sure whether the black splash in the sideboard is nessecary for our deck to succeed, when i boarded it in it was good, but maybe we want another wincon on this spot?

Posted below is the list that I'm currently running. I was a bit bored with playing my Dark Jeskai deck from grinding it out for the past few weeks, that I decided to make this list. I wouldn't go about in detail with regards to some of the mainboard cards as they already speak for themselves. Primarily, it's a tutelage deck as the main list, with some personal choices for spot removal and sweep instead of the usual options (ex. Disperse, Send to Sleep, etc.). Now, I've always been a huge fan of transformational sideboards and have tried to incorporate the concept in most of the decks I play and it was just now that I realized that this could also be applicable with a Tutelage variant.
As you can notice, post-board it transforms into a fairly stock Dark Jeskai deck. The whole premise of this is (apart from confusing the hell out of your opponents, as all transformational sideboards are meant to do) to create an alternative angle of attack in games 2 and 3. Given that most likely, in Game 2, they would normally board out all, if not most, of their creature removal cards and play in awkward options that seek to disrupt the Tutelage combo. In Game 3, you can opt to revert back to the Tutelage plan or stick with the creature-based strategy. It's all up to you. The opponent will most of the time find himself adjusting / anticipating according to your plan, making their own gameplan durdle a lot. One key TIP that I would suggest if you do decide to adapt a similar concept, is when sideboarding, make sure that you shuffle ALL cards from your sideboard into your deck and remove the cards you want to cut accordingly. So that they'd have a harder time figuring out what you're trying to do. Apart from being a lot of fun by subconsciously trolling your opponent, the deck is extremely competitive. My first run with it was yesterday in a 24-man invitational tournament and I finished 2nd overall, losing by a very slight margin against an GR Eldrazi Ramp deck (Spells-based ramp), which I figured is a bad matchup for this particular deck, given that we have little to no disruption against that strategy.
For reference, what I normally board-out when I transition to the transformational sideboard are:
- 4 Magmatic Insight
- 4 Sphinx's Tutelage
- 1 Alhammaret's Archive
- 2-3 Sweepers of Choice (Depends on the deck I'm against - it could be either Radiant Flames, Languish, or Planar Outburst.)
- 1 Treasure Cruise
- 1 Tormenting Voice (I like keeping this card in a lot, it helps you filter your hands better without being as restrictive as Magmatic Insight.)
The core cards you board-in:
- 4 Mantis Rider
- 2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
- 2 Soulfire Grandmaster
- 2 Kolaghan's Command
- 1 Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker
- 2 Disdainful Stroke
We really have problems with fast aggro decks and decks like Abzan, so we need more boardwipes. Narset can switch to the sideboard, because we just need her vs control. The extra rebound on spells might be good, but i think we don't need her main.
Maybe we can swap the 2 Roast for 2 Ruinous Path, but then we need to fix the mana and maybe cut Shambling Vents
