Just wondering, could a mill style control deck work? I'm wondering whether I could run a fairly standard control shell, using Ob Nixilis, Sphinx's Tutelage, and the new Sire of Stagnation. Basically would run the usual Tutelage/draw triggers, but using the new Nixilis to draw an extra card a turn before dropping the ultimate to ping for life as well as the mill triggers... Could this work, and what other cards should be considered to go in?
Crux of Fate would be a good slot as would Languish, with no Fog effects other than possibly Hyrdoslash in those colors, board wipes will be needed to stay alive long enough for the mill factor work.
I think Grixis Tutelage would be the way to go. Keeps most of the strengths of the U/R Tutelage build (super cheap card draw), while allowing for more removal (board wipes) or some of the more powerful Eldrazi creatures.
Maybe you could use some of his ideas for the upcoming rotation. Maybe even Esper is the way to go with lands being as good as they are for rotation with Fetches, Battlelands, and Pains.
I built a fairly standard Esper control list, featuring Treasure Cruise and Nixilis. I'm not convinced Tutelage is good enough for the main deck, but it's absolutely killer out of the sideboard.

I think a one-of Tutelage in the main is fine. Offers some options in the long game, and it can sometimes just win the grindier matches without any additional effort. Having the option to switch to a full-on tutelage strategy out of the board sounds good too.

That's an interesting take, I may try that. I've typically considered Tutelage to be an all-in or nothing strategy, but running one in the main and 1-2 in the side may work.

Let us know how it goes! I think it's near-enough to Boogeyman status that people will see it and start thinking that's the intent of the deck, and it could throw off some plays / sideboarding tactics as well.

It is really going to be meta dependent as to what sweepers work best but I like Languish at 4 because you can follow up with Ob Nixilis on 5
Edit: Thinking about it though, there isn't much that Languish kills that Radiant Flames doesn't. You might just want the near unconditional wrath.
