With the release of Origins I've found myself to liking the little 1/1 thopter guys and the cards that produce them. Now in an attempt to make a workable deck, I've brought this together:
These cards build a vague skeleton in which I'd like to try and abuse our token generation.
The basic idea is to flood the board with Thopters and strike the enemy for lethal faster than they can hit us. Which really is just your typical aggro game plan. But we have more than that. Between Purphoros, Shrapnel Blast and Lightning Strike we have tons of damage that can go straight to our enemies faces.
Most of our creatures trigger Purphoros at least twice. Whirler Rogue even manages to blast our enemy for 6 damage just by entering the battlefield, and then helps our ensouledDarksteel Citadels to swing unimpeded. Artificer's Epiphany is an instant speed Divination in this type of deck and helps us draw into more threats and nukage.
Once we have swung our enemy hard enough that he's close to dying, but manages to somehow clog up the board enough so we can't attack into him, Descent of the Dragons should be able to finish him off.
My first draft for a deck that I'm probably going to build and test for a bit:
I notably cut Descent of the Dragons for now, because it might just be too cute. I think I should try and find more place for Springleaf Drum since there's not really a lot going on in this deck before CMC3 outside of Ensoul Artifact, and with drum and thopter on t1 we can actually start swinging with a Citadel by turn 2.
Quick testplays make me think that springleaf drum is not a good pick, also Purphoros is going to be cut. Haven't even tried Thopter Spy Network yet (substituted with Trident of Thassa), and some of that card draw is definitely desperately needed.
military intelligence could be a cheaper bident. i tried it in a deck that had 4 ornithopter's some tokens and illussion angel. main problem was it did like nothing till i got out an angel or ensoul. it was basically monoblue devotion with military intelligence in it. it could work better for your deck though.

My first draft for a deck that I'm probably going to build and test for a bit:
3 Ornithopter
2 Hangarback Walker
2 Springleaf Drum
3 Chief of the Foundry
Instants:
3 Shrapnel Blast
3 Lightning Strike
4 Artificer's Epiphany
4 Ensoul Artifact
3 Thopter Spy Network
Creatures:
3 Thopter Engineer
2 Whirler Rogue
1 Pia and Kiran Nalaar
2 Purphoros, God of the Forge
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Temple of Epiphany
4 Shivan Reef
4 Swiftwater Cliffs
2 Tomb of the Spirit Dragon
3 Mountain
3 Island

So let me know what you guys think.
