I think we could end up being pleasantly surprised by Elves with Origins coming out. We haven't even seen all the Origins spoilers and we've already got a ton of value in Dwynen's Elite and Elvish Visionary. I don't think it's worth putting Sunblade Elf in personally but Collected Company is probably the right build.
To be honest I wouldn't run the Abzan Elves, I think you can do much more with a Golgari Elf deck if you swap the Sunblade Elf for Leaf Glider. I also don't like Nissa at all due to her only being a 2/2 for 3 that needs to get to land 7 in order to flip which you should want the game over by that time.
Here is the deck I'm thinking of (minus a side board of course) and I still haven't really decided on a for sure split of Forests to Swamps. The Bow and Nylea can be swapped for an Obelisk of Urd if you just want to run the full Elf Tribal deck.

A 2/2 for 3 that ensures you curve into Collected Company is just fine by me. She's also just a solid Elf with upside and her upside is far higher than Deadbridge Shaman or Yeva's Forcemage is, imo. Especially since Yeva's Forcemage is a Vanilla 2/2 herself off a EOT collected company which puts much more pressure to cast it before blockers. Too be honest what it really needs is more ways to push damage through.
That I can see, I think Deadbridge shaman though has some good impact on the game when it comes down. It forces your opponent to either let het through or lose a card and potentially trade a card giving you a 2 for 1. If you leave her back its still the threat of blocking and losing a card your opponent might need, still getting their hand size lower and giving you again a 2 for 1. I can see how Nissa is better than Yeva's Forcemage on an empty board so might make the change there but I would much prefer deadbridge to Nissa.

Golgari elves is gonna be my pet deck till thoughtsieze rotates out, at worst nissa thins your deck, at best she fetches eot and then flip on your turn, i cant wait to live that dream, lets hope for a Civic Wayfinder
So I was looking at starting a thread for this deck at the end of last week. Glad to see others see the potential too, though it may not be as good as we are thinking. This is what I have so far.
I want to fit in Infinite Obliteration if at all possible but I am having some difficulty doing so. The only reason I want to splash for rally is because it can end the game quick with enough elves on the board or in the graveyard and with the shamans.
I'm glad other people are considering this build, however I'm not sure how competitive it can be with what we have been given so far. There is still lots to be seen though.
I want to try and fit Infinite Obliteration into the deck but I am having difficulty with it at this time. Dromoka's command seems like it would be a good addition too, but still having a difficult time trying to find room. I really like the ability to rally for instant speed win at the end of my opponents turn if needed.
dwynen's elite combos pretty well with chord of calling into shaman of the pack.
The most important thing to nail down is having black or green turn 1 consistently. It is very important to play a mana-elf on turn 1.
I love the concept, but I feel the deck needs (is missing) 2 important things:
Ramp and a Lord for the pump effect.
duxx
Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen is a thing even though it doesn't work so well with Collected Company I think its still probably playable as like a 2x of. Not everything has to be playable with company. The idea is to keep the targets high but a few misses are still optional with company.

Daen could work, but it still costs one more that the Archdruid, and he does double duty. I still feel ramp is the most important to get the finisher into play.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it....
I think in this version of elves the win condition is either beats or kill with shaman of the pack. The lack of chord of calling in everyone list is confusing as well since it is such a good tool for finding shaman of the pack to end the game.

I have been play testing the deck and I agree. Chord just performed better than collected company, especially with the elite's. Here is where I am at now with the deck:
but what i dont get is why everyone adds Elvish mystic we dont have allot of cards to ramp to. and seeing as we want to play Chord of Calling mystic wont make a difference to an other creature
i would rather see Thornbow Archer it get get dmg through and is a decent creature vs mono red and other aggro decks
for as long as Bile blight is in standard Eyeblight Massacre is not worth it. to expensive, not instant and horrible in a mirror
Well if you're playing things like Chord of Calling, Collected Company, Woodland Bellower, or maybe even Gaea's Revenge then you want Mystic. If you want to go full on the aggro plan, maybe you don't want Mystic.

That looks great! I wonder, does the appropriately colored refuge land have a place here, in order to recoup some life lost to Gnarlroot Trapper in the early game?
