Avenger of Zendikar isn't Standard legal though. And I don't think a Hornet Queen with Mirror Mockery is too feasible, I mean you wouldn't want the card to just sit around until that late in a game.
Enemy Siege Rhinos seem like a great thing to target, and forcing them to attack with Bident of Thassa might work.
Mirror Mockery was considered as too "win more" in mono-U devotion decks, the intended target was Master of Waves.
The combo is easy to pull off but very fragile since none of the creatures have protection. I still need to test my brew but I think that combo has a lot of potential in either a Sultai/Bant mana ramp, control or reanimation shell.
The best way to combo off is when you already have the Mastodon in play and have the two other pieces in hand. If they're tapped out and don't have a 5 power creature in play, then you only need 2UU to combo off.
Another way to combo off is having Sage of Hours in play and Mirror Mockery in hand and reanimating Sandsteppe Mastodon. Or reanimating two combo pieces with Profound Journey.
Dragon's Eye Savants is mostly used as a wall for defense in the early game but also to see if the coast is clear to combo off. Ojutai's Command can keep recurring this 0/6 wall as well. Alternatively, you can combo him with Profaner of the Dead for a one sided Whelming Wave effect. Speaking of which exploit creatures work really well with Mirror Mockery so I thought about using Sidisi's Faithful for constant unsummmoning. In the end I took out the exploit creatures but I think you could easily turn it into a control deck instead of a mana ramp one with exploits.
Mirror Mockery can also be used as a pseudo pacifism/removal in the early game. For example if you enchant their Siege Rhino now they can't attack you with it anymore otherwise you will keep draining 3 life over and over again. And if you enchant a 4/4 then they will trade so it's basically a removal when you need it to be one. I think that's pretty cool.
Yeah i also thought of the double scalelord combo but the only problem is that it has 3 separate pieces. but then again so does the other combo.
The Scalelord combo has multiple benefits going for it. It's a cheaper curve, it wins the turn you combo, it has redundancy with clone effects but the downside is you need a +1/+1 counter. The upside is there is a lot of uncounterable megamorph effects in DtK.
Mirror Mockery is a card that has a lot of potential
Mirror Mockery
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever enchanted creature attacks, you may put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of that creature. Exile that token at end of combat.
A couple of ways to use it are with cards that have enter the battlefield affects like:
Avenger of Zendikar
Hornet Queen
Icefall Regent
Another card that works very well with Mirror Mockery is Sundial of the Infinite.
Sundial is good because you end the turn before the token exiles and you get a token that stays on the field.
now lets think of some cards that mirror mockery works with and some decks it works in!

Sage of Hours
Sandsteppe Mastodon + Mirror Mockery

I'm thinking something like this:
4x Sandsteppe Mastodon
4x Mirror Mockery
2x Taigam's Scheming
2x Anticipate
2x Dig Through Time
4x Den Protector
2x Rite of Undoing
2x Whelming Wave
2x Profound Journey
3x Explosive Vegetation
2x Frontier Siege
Well if you play control, manaramp or reanimation then 7cc really isn't that much imo. People play Ugin and Garruk in standard after all.
Also Explosive Vegetation and Frontier Siege are pretty good ramp cards. You can have access to 7 mana by turn 5.
I will let you know if i think of anything else that you could use for that deck
3x Dragon's Eye Savants
combo: (12)
4x Sage of Hours
4x Sandsteppe Mastodon
4x Mirror Mockery
3x Anticipate
1x Dig Through Time
3x Taigam's Scheming
3x Commune with the Gods
4x Ojutai's Command
2x Profound Journey
3x Explosive Vegetation
2x Frontier Siege

falafell looks like a pretty good deck. Can it beat most standard decks?
PS: Nice picture, Star Wars rules!
Here's your infinite. I'm trying to figure out how to build around it, but I'm thinking Dromoka's Command, Honor's Reward, and Stubborn Denial will be in the deck.
