Let's be honest, you know you want to buil it...
I love tribal decks and I love dragons, what a time to be alive!
Various people hAve started putting down list since FRF and we the new dragons and the support cards, now a tribal dragon deck seems more and more viable.
Personally I'm planning to go RB. Green has got some good stuff too, including the one shot game winning Atarka+Xenagos.
I've tried to go that way and I wasn really impressed. To pull off something like that you need to play jund which dosen't have trilands and you need ramp. Mana dorks are terrible late game and with the amount of removal available I think it's important to increase the treath density.
I'm going to put down a list soon, but as a enteral idea I'm thinking of using the new 4 drop red dragon, stormbreath, the 5 mana RB dragon, old kolaghan and new kolaghan, dragonlord servant, the 2 mana red enchtment, thoughtseize and removal (including crux of fate)

Not so much tribal I suppose as dragon sub themed but I'm definitely excited for more spoilers. It's for the best anyway as our non dragons give us a bit of protection against Crux of Fate. Right now I'm in Mardu colors since I light the white splash. Chained to the rocks is just super efficient and Butcher can sac creatures we don't want late game for a lifegain swing. He doesn't need a ton of support since just having haste should be good enough. Depending on future spoilers I may indeed cut out the white to make room for better spells and an easier mana base but I like where I'm at now. I'm neglecting to use Kolaghan, Dragon lord since I think he's just a little too big on the curve and I don't know if he'd be as impactful as his more youthful variant. DRAGONS!!!

I already had a couple of games and it works pretty well. Boltwing marauder, followed by Kolaghan, the storm's fury is 15 damage and thanks to the servant we can pull it off at turn 5, add another 2 damage from dragon tempest and it's gg.
UB control (now ester with narset) it's a pretty hard match up tho. they keep countering or killing the dragons and then win with ugin...

The Deck is set up to take advantage of Goblin Rabblemaster, and 8 Goblin Token Spells. The deck can Potentially have a lot of goblins which are greath with rabblemaster, and great with Boltwing. It stabilizes the field while putting pressure Control decks and Midrange decks. It then it is set up to hit you over the head with dragons. 12 maindeck dragons, and 2 more from Sarkhan. That is potentially a big way to end games, and most likely they will have haste because of dragon tempest.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
The haste from Dragonlord Kolaghan only really helps the goblins, as the dragons already gain haste from Dragon Tempest. The 10 life loss seems good but I feel that the prevalence of delve will mitigate it's effects.
The +1/+0 for each attacking dragon from kolaghan the storm's fury not only helps the goblins but the other dragons as well.
what do people think of adding an Obelisk of Urd to take advantage of the fact that the deck is only goblins and dragons.
goblins - lots of creatures to benefit
dragons - can fly over the enemy to send damage directly to the face
Yeah the new dromoka is a big middle finger to UB control. Tho in general BR seems more solid. The other white and green dragons aren't that good. We shall see he new Atarka

i've just tested against a UW control deck with narset, elspeth, ojutai command, a bunch of removal and counters. it was PAINFUL.

A UW Control deck seems like it would crush this deck outright. I think we'll be getting some new tools to help against Control soon in the spoilers to come.
Upon further testing I've come to the conclusion that you just can't run a two mana dork efficiently in this build. You really want turn two to be a dragon tempest to set up for a turn 3 dragon or just to keep the pressure off you with some removal. For that reason I've switched to a Jund build. My only acceleration is 4 Elvish Mystic and 4 Atarka's Command. Atarka's command is 2 mana but its not a dork. If you have a land it can be tapped immediately for value so while it's not always likely it does at least allow for the possibility of T1- Land, Mystic; T2- Land, Command, Tempest; T3- Dragon/Land, Dragon.
How have others faired so far? I considered the 3 mana dork but he seems so slow.
I agree with you that we shouldn't run too many dorks, they are terrible late game and with all the counter and removal there's around if half of our creatures are dorks... I like dragonlord's servant cos he can also be a fair blocker in the first few turns.
i want to test atarka's command, and I'm really curious to see what kolaghan's command will be

Does anyone know if Dragonlord's Servant reduces the cost on Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury's dash cost? I've been trying to think it through since it's an alternate casting cost, and I can't come to a conclusion. Because if so, T3 Thunderbreak Regent, T4 Dash Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury seems really, really strong.

Dragonlord Silumgar is off colors but its ETB effect is so powerful that I might include him instead of Kolaghan. Either that or I go UB reanimator but then I would lose Stormbreath..
The other Dragon Reanimator I had in mind was going 4 or 5 colors. Probably Temur + black. But I prefer having a consistent manabase.
Dragon Whip could also be interesting for obvious reasons. For those who want to use Whip of Erebos with dragons, I think Hoarding Dragon is a dragon to consider. 4 mana (with dragonlord) and tutors for the Whip or Perilous Vault!
This is the list I'm working on proxy-ing and testing. There's plenty of slots that I'm not yet convinced on, namely the Elvish Mystics and Boltwing Marauders. Boltwing seems like a win-more, especially without the token-generating cards that make it ridiculous, and I'm nervous about playing more ramp cards than necessary because something like Elvish Mystic is such a BAD top-deck.
The goal is to use Mystic, Caryatid, or Atarka's Command to ramp into a four-drop on T3. That's actually the main reason I'm running Xenagos, the Reveler, apart from the fact that it's good. I've been on and off considering running Polukranos, World Eater as an extra solid four-drop. One of the other cards I've been considering has been Courser of Kruphix; I don't know, though. I've just never really been convinced of how good it is as others are. I'm also considering Ashmouth Phoenix as a four-drop.
Draconic Roar is an experiment. I've definitely got enough dragons to trigger it. This slot might become Hero's Downfall, though, since it's a better spot removal card, or possibly just Lightning Strike because it can go directly to the dome without need for a creature. Another card I considered was Sarkhan's Rage as a kill-spell and finishing burn-spell bound in one.
I feel as though Dragon Tempest is good, but I'm not sure best how to use it. It only seems viable for how I'm planning the strategy on T2 after a T1 Mystic, since I don't really have 3-drops lined up. I wouldn't think of it as a damage-guarantee in this build, but more as a "dragons have haste" card, with an upside.
The biggest help I need is in the mana base. I'm not good at developing these complicated mana bases with three colors, and usually end up netdecking once I'm past two colors. I also feel like just tossing in copies of Mana Confluence is far too simple. Haven of the Spirit Dragon might be worthwhile, given the number of dragons. Plus, it brings back a fallen dragon. The biggest argument I can see for going with either a wedge or just two colors in a dragon deck is that the mana is simpler; what I'm most nervous about is running up to eight fetches which each fetch for the same type of land, in a three-color deck. It seems like it offers a nervous amount of potential inconsistency. At the same time, with the goal to be the aggressor, I'm not sure I want to play more taplands, although I WOULD like to add a few copies of Temple of Malice.
Anyone have advice/thoughts?
