MTG Salvation

Yes I know it's a four card combo. I'm not saying this will be a top tier deck. The list below is not my own creation but I had the core parts already in my head when thinking about this deck. The guy who created this list, he gets the props not me, but this deck seems fun to at least try out..

So you are trying to win via the Retraction Helix + Midnight Guard bouncing Ornithopter infinite times with Altar of the Brood on the board? I mean it can work. It seems fragile because of the good bits of removal in format. I can see it sneaking in turn 3 wins however.

Yeah, I mean it won't be consistent by any means that's why there are other threats in there to handle any creatures etc...

For Price wise for me it'll have to be 4 x Temple of Enlightenment's and 4 x Evolving Wilds until I can get the others...sigh hehe

So I kind of left this here for a few days, 5 actually and no other responses. So I'm going to take that as a good thing and run with it!!

A friend of mine sleeved this up the other night.
He opted for heavy counter control.
It got wrecked by mardu agro very badly. Against G/R monster it struggled if turn 3 threat came down as his counters were behind.

In saying that, games were won by simply having alter in play a fist full of control and hitting land drops and the occasional permanent.
It was fun.

I've been toying with the idea of a deck like this ever since I realized these cards existed. Personally, I think that it may be worthwhile to consider splashing red for Jeskai Ascendancy. I just think that it's a better way to infinitely bounce something than Midnight Guard. With Ascendancy, you're no longer dependent upon one creature to make your combo work. Granted, you're now depending on one enchantment, but, hey, if you want you can keep Midnight Guard in there for redundancy. Jeskai Ascendancy has the added bonus of opening an infinite pump combo up for you in the event that you haven't drawn into Altar of the Brood. It's just a thought, anyway.
