Hey so here is a deck I threw together as an idea to work with for when JOU comes out. Idea is to get to 4 mana and stabalize, then win out. Medomai and Ral in there help me get ahead a lot faster, and also a little different. Aether/Keranos are game winners.
note: Sideboard is just me going through my head of cards that could be useful - Any suggestions there are more then welcome. Was thinking
Skullcrack to prevent life gain/damage.
Counterflux to help win counter-wars.
Magmajet for the 2 damage early for small creatures & scry 2 to find what I need.
Rapid Hybrid - Destroy spell because why not
Mizzium Mortars - 4 Damage, can clear field
Wear/Tear - Anticipation of new play styles coming in (might be completely useless)
If you're going to play izzet guildgate you might as well play the new UR temple instead and i would play dissolve over render silent just to make it easier on the manabase
Way too much fat. You don't need 4x Keranos, you don't need Medomai at all and you could probably cut a Ral Zarek. I'd try something like this for permanents:
Also your spell base should be more focused. Boros Charm is a dead card for a Control deck, you don't have enough burn for it actually kill them and the other modes do nothing. Lightning Strike has a mostly irrelevant upside (you aren't a true burn deck) compared to something like Izzet Charm. I do like Warleader's Helix though.
I'd probably do something like this (if I wanted to keep the 8 sweeper style):

Personally I'm skeptical about running anger of the gods main board at the moment. While aggro looks definitely intimidating right now in Nyx Anger of the Gods is too dead a card against too many decks as half of the decks I've seen at IQs recently have been control decks, though that could just be my particular region.
I definitely feel it's sideboard tech though. If aggro and Aetheros junk becomes big enough post Nyx then it will probably be a 2 of main deck and 2 of sideboard.
Also for sideboard tech I would suggest 2 of Celestial flare for the Mono White Weenie decks running protection spells and for Naya hexproof running cards like Witch Stalker.
a few issues with your list
1)way to many win conditions. you want keranos to stick around, so four will leave you with many dead cards.
2) boros charm is out of place, along with four helix's. you're not going to burn them out
3) 24 lands with aetherling and rev? no jaces to hit land drops? this deck will eb screwed on mana very often.
i would suggest, for a more cotnrol heavy approach, somethign like this, which i plan on building afte JOU

I agree with this notion, although new sets tend to bring aggro (also same with Mana Confluence). But I figured 8 sweepers was the OPs intent, and it could be the right local choice if he fights aggro 24/7.
Any and all input is appreciated thanks!

I'd probably do something like this (if I wanted to keep the 8 sweeper style):
2 Keranos, God of Storms
1 Ætherling
Enchantments (4)
4 Detention Sphere
Instants (14)
2 Quicken

4 Sphinx's Revelation
2 Mizzium Mortars
4 Anger of the Gods
4 Supreme Verdict
Planeswalkers (3)
2 Jace, Architect of Thought

Lands (26)
4 Hallowed Fountain
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Steam Vents
4 Temple of Enlightenment
4 Temple of Epiphany
4 Temple of Triumph

You have lots of ways to reclaim lost tempo with sweepers, which helps to alleviate the greedy, 12 tapland mana base.
Really solid list. but for my opinion i change for the following list.
1 Keranos, God of Storms
1 Ætherling
Enchantments (4)
4 Detention Sphere
Instants (14)
2 Quicken
2 Izzet Charm
4 Dissolve
4 Sphinx's Revelation
2 Mizzium Mortars
4 Anger of the Gods
4 Supreme Verdict
Planeswalkers (3)
4 Jace, Architect of Thought
2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
Lands (26)
4 Hallowed Fountain
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Steam Vents
4 Temple of Enlightenment
4 Temple of Epiphany
4 Temple of Triumph
1 Island
1 Plains

Also LSV's lists are pretty solid too: http://wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/td/295
