Okay, so this glutton's drawback is a big one, but I think too many people are dismissing him too quickly. If this guy can hit the table on turn 2 he can do some serious damage and quick. He laughs at Doom Blade, Lightning Strike, and Bile Blight. And your opponent draws on your upkeep, so if he gets hit by a Detention Sphere or Chained to the Rocks, the drawback doesn't kick in. IMO, that little detail makes him look a lot better.
Master of the Feast's downside doesn't really bug me much. I mean, how much do you care about them drawing cards when you have access to Thoughtseize and Duress?
Then again, I love me some Suicide Black so I might be totally wrong here on account of my bias.

I'm also a fan of Suicide Black, so I'm probably biased too,; but dang, the damage potential is there. One hit = 1/4th life total in the air at 3 mana. Tempting.
I really like the direction that have taken Demons in the recent time. They really exemplify the black philosophy. You get something far above the curve if you can pay the price(live with the drawback).
The intersting thing about that is that it makes them really hard to evaluate. Desecration Demon being the best example of this in recent time.
This card has certainly potential but you really have to play with the card to know how good it is. It's hard to say just by looking at him in my opinion.
T1: rakdos cackler/gnarled scarhide
T2: spirit of the labyrith
T3: fatty demon
Pretty strong start. He seems pretty brutal with a haste enabler, and his cc/power ratio makes burn pretty strong, so maybe red/black could get interesting.
I really like this guy. even if he only gets to swing through once before they kill it, its basically three mana to deal five damage to an opponent and they draw a card. thats pretty legit if you ask me. and if you get this guy out early enough against G/R monsters they cant really deal with it.

Do you mean Spirit of the Labyrinth strictly as a beater? Cause the effect doesn't cancel out the Demon's, since they draw on your upkeep.
I think it stands a solid chance of replacing the Lifebane Zombie in Monoblack devotion, with the Zombie being sideboarded in against suitable matchups.
He doesn't doesn't replace Herald of Torment in monoblack aggro. That guy is what gives the deck legs. Or wings, as it were. Monoblack control/devotion would stick with Lifebane Zombie, I would think. There does seem to be room for a solid hybrid now, though.
Notion Thief is actually useful here. I initially thought it was related to the first card drawn each turn, but it specifically references the Draw Step, and Master of the Feast's trigger happens in the upkeep.
You could potentially cast Master on T4, wait to see if your opponent kills him, and then flash in notion thief before your T5 draw, and profit.
This card has potential and I believe many people have misread the card as the opponent drawing on their own upkeep. "Neh, neh sir you only get to draw on MY upkeep." Spirit of the Labrinyth does NOTHING for this card, but Notion Thief does EVERYTHING. Even then I probably won't play Notion Thief with this unless it was some sort of midrange/aggro deck. This guy really shines in an aggro deck which only cares about max damage ASAP. I don't think he will see for 6 months though, you playing this T3 and the opponent playing Desecration Demon T4 seems like a common and unfortunate line of play. When DD and Lifebane Zombie rotate out, this guy plus Herald of Torment fill a nice Evasive 3 drop in a Black aggro deck that could even curve up to a Grey Merchant late game.
Don't get cute with Fate Unraveler or Notion Thief.
You're playing a three mana 5/5 with Flying. You should clock them right out but turn 5.
Mono Black Aggro, post Journey into Nyx, has access to 12 (!!!) 2/Xs for 1 mana. This could end up being like Mono Black or BR Zombies from Innistrad Standard. And I was a HUGE fan of that deck.
Maybe Duskmantle Seer with this thing? Since you started giving them cards T3 may as well keep it up T4. Not to mention the flying BEATZ.
This is a triumph of design for sure (super flavorful, interesting disadvantage, constructed playable but tricky to evaluate), however it might run into some trouble. "Draw for your upkeep, Hero's Downfall your 5/5" doesn't sound like my idea of a good time, but from a red perspective this guy is just fat as hell. Curve this into Desecration Demon and your opponent will be starting at their Mizzium Mortars, thinking "really?".

That is a good point. For any non-black, non-control decks this card is just a pain to deal with. Between this and Desecration Demon even the green and red monsters look like chumps. That is crazy if you think about it.
yeah, this guy into desecration demon is lights out for a lot of decks and entire aggro strategies. plus thoughtseize and duress exist, so you'll just inherently have game against control.
just in case anyone was worried that monoblack was going away any time soon.
you don't play this in MBD, but you might play this in mono-black aggro. I don't know if this is MD level good, but it might be a good SB card against decks that really struggle with fliers and don't a gameplan against this guy.
This is clearly an aggro creature, bare none. I would love to squeeze this guy in with Herald of Torment or even just curve right into Desecration Demon.
If at some point we end up with two 1 drop mana dorks, like Elvish Mystic and Birds of Paradise, I could see a junk aggro deck being strong. Mana Confluence would help smooth out the mana. It could play Call of the Conclave and Fleecemane Lion, Dreg Mangler, Master of the Feast, Loxodon Smiter and Desecration Demon for creatures, Thoughtseize for some cheap disruption, and Golgari Charm for removal protection/anti Detention Sphere.
Then again, I love me some Suicide Black so I might be totally wrong here on account of my bias.

Nope, ha. I responded before double checking the card text. Ignore me

This guy with red spells, though? Madcap Skills, Lightning Strike, Exava?

Just a low-curve aggro/midrange happy-medium with a bit of removal.
