Courser of Kruphix
1GG
Enchantment Creature — Centaur
2/4
Play with the top card of your library revealed.
You may play the top card of your library if it's a land card.
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you gain 1 life.
Found on the release notes. Now that's a card, what do you all think? Oracle of Mul Daya is one of my favorite card in recent sets, this one is pretty close to it. No exploration effect on it, but it's cheaper, has a bigger butt, gains life and still provide some filtering/better draws by removing lands from the top of your deck.
Hoping this could breed a good midrange deck. Very excited about this card!
The explore effect was nice on oracle but it still retains what I considered more important anyway, the ability to net cheap card advantage by playing lands off the top of your library so you won't draw them later. It is also worth noting that a 2/4 is not a completely irrelevant speed bump and that given a little time, that little chip life gain is pretty significant too.
Well they couldnt have made it more obvious that you should play this in conjunction with Kiora. This being a 3 mana 2/4 that gets lands into play and Kruphix being the U/G God.
Also of note that is has 4 toughness. This dodges all non-kill/non-wrath removal, including bile blight and anger of the gods and lightning strike (sans mizzium mortars)
This card is really good. A 2/4 for 3 is already decent, but adding incremental card advantage makes this awesome.

Take a mechanic from the pre-mirrodin era, and a mechanic after the mirrodin era, and create a card that flavorfully melds both mechanics.
Keep in mind this is not an additional land. You can still only play 1 land per turn with this. On that note I was excited but not ramping me for a 2/4 Still might see play because all the 3 drops in green absolutely suck. Elvish mystic has had nothing to drop on turn 2 yet.

Yup, too bad it is not additional land. Otherwise, she would have effect then turn she's being played. Need to survive one turn to enjoy. With Primeval Bounty, 4 life when play land.
I've been testing this as a 3 of in a simic midrange list for the past few hours, and I'm loving the results. It essentially increases your hand size by one, allows you to get lands off of the top of the deck, lets you plan for next turn, lets you know whether to drop a scry land or just play a basic, and that's just one ability. The life gain has been relevant too. Even if you only get 3 lands out while its on the field, that's a mono green centaur healer with slightly shifted P/T. Plus a turn 2-3 pillarfield ox is really hard to get around for aggressive decks. I'm so excited for this card now. Only downside is it lets your opponent know what they have to deal with next, but whatever. The list doesn't have many surprises anyway.

If you have a land in your hand or the top card in your deck is a land, then you get value from this guy right away (assuming you didn't already play a land this turn). Just retain priority after it resolves and use it to play your land
This guy seems amazing for UG Prophet. Pretty much exactly the card I was looking for
When it is most effective (meaning turn 2-3), you usually will already have played your land per turn. The only exception (and a relevant one, it is) is turn 2 sylvan caryatid, turn 3 courser.

It is also effective every other turn it survives and you get a land on top. Also, gaining 2-4 life by playing lands if he survives isn't negligible, considering the lands played from the top are basically free cards.
Besides, if he heats removal, he eats removal. I mean, it's not a finisher, it's not a ramp card and you don't lose a lot of tempo to have it removed. That'll be one less removal for Polukranos &c.
I feel like this card has potential to be really good this season. I imagine a lot of decks incorporating 4x main and for that reason I've already picked up my playset.
I just played it in my prerelease pool and I must say I got this out on turn 3 twice and just absolutely ran away with the game. This card is an absolute bomb in sealed and I believe it can do well in constructed.
I'm loving this card in agressive, creature based builds, but I'm not thrilled with it in the G/U build I was really excited about. Giving your opponent perfect information about your draws if any of them are counters/tricks/removal etc is a serious bummer.

This + thoughtsieze is the reason I think I am going to skip over this card. When you give good players all the perfect information for the entire game it is not good times for you.

Except you can just overwhelm them with card advantage. Play this turn 2-3 and domri on another turn and just go nuts. As long as they have information you have card advantage.

Every top deck has CA/selection. Bile Blight and Drown in Sorrow can easily nullify any of the CA you get while being cheap enough to progress their own boards.
Its the same reason that Gitaxian Probe is good. Unlike probe thoughseize is actually taking your best card, disrupting your curve, or taking enablers.
Big void in the 3 drop spot but still not sure about this guy. In my testing I've found him good but I don't know if "just good" is enough for me to warrant giving my opponent all the information about every play I can make for the rest of a game is worth it. Against high skill opponents I'm not sure if this is what I'd want to be doing just to play a utility creature.

Exactly. Top deck land, play it instead from hand. Creature, fetch it via Domri.

This.
Courser+Domri will be very good, basically 2 more card drawn per turn.
