This is my latest build, both today and yesterday I have 3-1'd a daily standard event. The deck definitely has game against the field but can sometimes struggle against fast aggro and RG ramp.
I'm basically running your 75 except for the Ghost Councils (traded them to a friend who wanted to make WB and instantly regretted it). I'm currently running Armada Wurm in their place, and it's waaaaaaaay worse (for reasons stated earlier in the forum). What would you suggest to fill that 2 card slot until I'm able to get my hands back on some ghost dads?
Also, what do we do against Blood Barrons? Do just just fly over and try to race? He's been a real pain as of late.
And one last thing: since you've piloted this 75 in major tourneys, can you please post sideboard plans(what to side in/out) vs all the current meta staples?

Ive only played this matchup once and i forget how i sideboarded but i beat him 2-0
I might be going to an scg super iq this weekend in Tampa. If i do ill be switching back to the smiter version given the rise in esper/aggro decks this past week.
Are you running 4x charm over the dark betrayal ? Also any suggestion for filling the spots for the ghost council? I'm in the process of getting my 2, but need something to fill that gap till then. Thanks for your reply.
As for blood baron, I have a question. Does he become super powered very often? If so, Why not run arbor colossus for him to smack him down? Unfortunately he is one power short to kill him, but still. Being able to just kill him with the ability is pretty cool too. Plus he is mono green and he is big enough to kill him when he isn't super.
Oh and I'm curious about Deathrite Shaman. Is he good for the deck? He does really well and he can usually ramp with all of the self mill. And he always has fuel for that reason too. He just seems like a good place to put your mana because it usually seems that you have 1 or 2 left over at the end of turn 5 and onward and the mana ramp can really accelerate your early game.

If baron gets the +6/+6 and flying you've already lost.
I find that having those 6 big 4 drops give's a lot of pressure early game on opponents and buys us a ton of time. Even if demons are not optimal whip targets, it's a damn 6/6 flyer that must be answered. I've found armada wurm's great in multiple matchups including people using baron. I board out most of my creatures save a few key fatties and ramp and then bring in my entire sideboard.
I really like the Alm's Beast, seems hilarious with whip Don't know how good it will be but it seems like it would work really well. Could you explain why deathrite isn't good?
Round 1 was against UB Control Mill, which I 2-0'd.
Round 2 was UG Tempo, which I 2-0'd.
Round 3 was BG Control, which was a quick 2-0.
Round 4 was my only loss, which was to WG Hexproof 1-2.
Round 5 was against MBD, which was probably the easiest game of the night at 2-0.
I can get into more depth for each of my rounds if anyone wants.
As for potential changes, I really didn't like the Abhorrent Overlord and sided it out every time. By the time I get to a devotion number I really like, I've already pretty much won. The only time it could have helped was against WG hexproof, which had no answers to my flyers. I'll probably test Lord of the Void like Nightcinder suggested.
How did the Alms Beasts fare for you, SuperSeed? I could see the Desecration Demons being a decent idea.
And to give some input on Deathrite Shaman: I don't like it in this deck. There were quite a few times where I'd dig and turn up absolutely no land. The one time I did hit a lot of land I stalled out and lost; more mana wouldn't have saved me. I also couldn't really see myself removing creatures from my yard if I have a whip out. Yes, you can hit their yard, but I'd rather push more damage through with a big guy that has an ETB effect.

No one is playing this deck right now because there are a ton of answers to it's key components. Don't get me wrong, I love reanimator, but it's not going to be Tier one until after the rotation when Ooze, R.I.P. Syncopate, D-Sphere, etc are gone.
Why do you think they get blown out by Control? The lack of Dissipate hurts Control in the Junk Reanimator matchup.
Any counter is still good. Syncopate is as strong as ever with Exile. If this deck caught popularity and was good we would see lots of R.I.P. and such. Ooze and D-Sphere are crazy good against these decks.
Sac your creature and then your Underworld gets countered, ouch!
So has anyone tried using banisher priest as a way to keep a whipped creature in play? I'm working on abusing the whip, something along the lines of w/b splash green for salvage/commune. Anybody attempt this yet ? Im still working on it and may post a deck list when done. Any thoughts?

We don't use Rescue from the Underworld for a good reason, Dsphere is good, but can always run Glare of Heresy in the side, the general gameplan is to whip things back.

This guy clearly hasn't read any of the thread, just wants to rain on the parade. Obviously rescue from the underworld is terrible, and nobody is running it. And I guess he is in the group of people that don't think good players go to fnm with netdecks. In my area, I face the same quality players and decks as I have at state champs and SSO's. Im sure many can say the same.
People like you are detrimental to the magic community. Instead of saying: "Man, reanimator is kinda rogue right now. I dont think it has good matchups, but more power to you. Watch out for ooze and syncopate." You just say "x is bad, y is bad, a, b, and c destroy this deck so easily." All negativity. Go post on threads of decks you like and stop wishing everyone play the same 5 netdecks that are placing recently.

There is honestly nothing to replace obzedat with. Do you best to get your 2 back fast.
Race blood baron out of junk and overload the board vs esper and force them to wrath their own.

This deck is a huge dog to Esper and isn't a Tier One deck. A lot of the time it just gets blown out by any control deck.

Yeah because states and $5ks count as FNM...
