I have noticed that there is yet to be a Mono-White thread so far in this forum... I really think that this deck is a major contender and is being extremely overlooked as of now.... Last week mono-white posted good results in three big events.... So first lets look at some of the main cards that White has to offer.....
Each of those five cards will be staples in pretty much every Mono-White Build..... These decks will Offer the speed to keep up with the Aggro Red decks as well as the GW decks too.... These decks will also offer the durability to last against the Esper and Blue/White Control decks...
Now lets look at some of the results from last week....

I do believe that this deck has proven resilient enough to compete against the best... I would like to gather more thoughts and suggestions to master a Mono-White build....
Love this deck! Not to mention its the cheapest competitive deck out there. So far the only big improvement i think i can make is -2 Heliod, God of the Sun and +2 Door of Destinies.
I don't think Door of Destinies is where this deck wants to be at all. First off, it's four mana, and it generates value from playing creatures after the critical phase of your game plan.
I've played the deck in multiple events this weekend to success and this is where my maindeck's ended up after all's said and done. The only thing that I'm not quite sure about is going back down to 2 Ajani from 3 because the card is really good in this deck. So that's subject to change.

There were, obviously, a few problems with this sideboard. Pithing needle doesn't fit at all, and I never really wanted Heliod. Furthermore, I've learned that I need some cards for the R/G Monster matchup. So looking forward, my sideboard is going to be something closer to this:
The celestial flares are in the deck to deal with Blood Baron of Vizkopa, primarily, though it's far from optimal. I'm planning on trying the pacifisms against the R/G monster decks as well as other decks that play Boros Reckoner and the like. Though I took the 3rd Ajani out of the main in favor of an Imposing Sovereign, I still want it in my 75. And I feel that the fourth Frontline Medic and Banisher Priest will help out in grindy matchups.

I like your deck and I think Mono-White is so strong that many different versions can have success... However I think that the duo of Having a Boros Reckoner out with Heliod is just so good its stupid lol..... Reckoner is broken as is...and then give him vigilance thats nuts... Throw the spear in too and just say good game......
After further review, i agree that door isnt as good as heliod. Sure it DOES help a lot when you keep playing humans, but itll generally be relying off topdecks. Compared to Heliod which gives your creatures vigilance. After that at worst its something to sink your mana into. And if you're running reckoner with a few other creatures, its a big creature itself.
Also, daring skyjek is looking better due to being able to give your creatures evasion. That can be very powerful and win you the game when your opponent has a big board presence. Combined with Ajani's -3, theres plenty of evasion in here.
Im trying to decide whether i want to run Banisher priest or Boros Reckoner. I think priest is good for getting rid of one of their threats, but with heliod's vigilance and reckoner being around, that threat might not want to attack. With our evasion thanks to skyjek and ajani, it also cant block.

Yeah I think Reckoner is a must.... It really slows down the red decks, as Im pretty sure we will see an increase in mono green decks as well
Anyone thought of running Aurelia's Fury and Nythkos? Could also run Elspeth and power her out a turn or two early? I think the power of the legendary land could be used in a mono white build to push out superpowered threats... Maybe Angel of Serenity? Not sure if it could be viable... Just throwing some ideas out there because of how well the Mono Green lists are doing on Magic-League and the recent SCG Tournament.... Although MONO G has other ways to ramp...
Answer to Blood Baron of Vizkopa = Renounce the Guilds also stops detention sphere
I'd only consider Renounce the Guilds as an option if I weren't running Reckoner, and frankly, Reckoner is just too good not to play. Celestial Flare gets the job done just as well, and is decent against other big creatures like Descration Demon and Kalonian Hydra, which other then Banisher Priest or Pacifism we really can't interact favorably with.
still undecided which removal to pick... orzhov charm seems good on paper but not that good if it's in ma hand. ratchet bomb might be keening apparition, but do i really need something to kill non-white enchantments? not sure about it. after first FNM, pithing needle was awesome, thinking to add a 3rd one.
and how should i solve Blood Baron? i don't know if i want sideboard slots just for him, and only a conditional removal (1 or 2 more Celestial Flares).
thought?
It seems like this deck should be playing Xathrid Necromancer. You're in WB and every single creature you have is human. Just saying.
3x Daring Skyjet: Don't sleep on this card. 3 power on a 1W drop is incredible early game, and the possibility of evasion is even better. I think that play 4x Imposing Sovereign is a mistake, make room for DS.
No Spear of Heliod. I don't really like Spear... it causes overextension and the 2nd ability isn't really all that useful because this deck is almost always on the offensive. I'd rather have more Ajani (which encourages saving some cards in your hand by buffing up one or two creatures), plus Ajani demands to be dealt with, and actually does something on an empty board.
SB - 3x Rootborn Defenses: Sucks that there are only two ways to generate tokens in the deck for populate, but this card allows you to spill your hand vs. control and casting it in response to a Verdict/AoG with a full board is pretty much game over. It needs to be in there.
SB - 3x Dryad Militant: This is to trade out for Cavalry Pegasus vs. controlish decks that don't have any blockers.. since that's all that Pegasus is good for.
Banisher Priest / Boros Reckoner: Obviously both only valid vs. decks with lots of creatures, otherwise we have better options. You'll want Boros Reckoner in any deck with red/red removal and Priest in the others. 2x of each maindeck just to stay balanced.

Thanks I appreciate the input... and I like your deck and your ideas....
does anyone have plans on playing this deck this weekend?
Im torn between RDW- Mono Green - or This.... I dont know what I like best currently... Any ideas?
This isnt a primer. It was definitely needed. This is a legitimate deck archetype and each card deserves an in-depth analysis.
I let the results speak for themselves..... I do not find a need to explain what each card does... I'm fairly sure that each person in these forums can read what the card does from the card itself.... However what has gone unnoticed is how well this deck is doing in tournaments which is exactly what I tried to shine the light on... This deck should be in the spotlight not the shadows.... Instead of creating a "primer" to explain what that text on each card means you should be helping brainstorm ways to show everyone that Mono-White is a tier one competitor
I actually have 3x Archangels of Thune set aside right now.... I want to include them into the deck list very much but I was unsure how well they would fit into this speedy format.... so Im very interested in hearing your results so far... What do you think of Thune so far... also is flare good enough for the maindeck considering the massive amount of creatures you get thrown at you against RDW or Mono-Green
Flare is just a pretty good card against alot of the stuff running around right now, it can remove gods, reckoners etc with great ease. I'll concede it's not always great against aggro decks but as far as removal goes it's pretty solid. Archangel is great with Nykthos because you can get good hands and drop it on turn 4. And no RDW is going to have you beat by turn 4 in my experience.

Didnt have a primer so i created a primer. Simple as that. Didnt mean to step on anyones toes. This thread is fine but it wasnt an actual dedicated primer to white weenie. Thats all, i mean, no hard feelings or anything.
