The idea is simple. It's the same deck as the rites deck that Asian guy used to win that Grand Prix not too long ago (or maybe it was even a pt).
Instead of only relying on the green dig cards, use more mana efficient blue cards to self mill yourself. That human reanimator deck used chronic flooding, which may actually fit here, however I have been leaning to breaking // entering. Mostly since breaking // entering seems to be a great card that also has an alternate reanimate ability that we can break out if they are able to destroy all our whips. Normally since we aren't playing red we might worry about casting the entering half. However this deck has 6 birds, with sylvan caryatid and and deathrite shaman it shouldn't be a problem. Also this is pretty much the only deck I've seen in standard that can use deathrite shaman's mana ability at all.
Obviously the removal mix needs some tweaking.
I'm really wondering about lotleth troll, does the deck need him at all? Do I need four?
Can anyone help me out with getting the right lands?
This is a cool concept but you're running what is essentially a 4 colour reanimator deck which means you are very prone to Burning Earth. This is based on the assumption that you should be running which mana producing cards so you can hardcast Obzedat. I know Deathrite Shaman is an option because your deck is self mill.
No place for Ashen Rider? It removes just about anything relevant on the field.

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
You have no way to cast Obzedat or Serenity effectively without Whip.
With my 7 mana producers believe it or not I have hard casted ghost council several times from my hand. And I'm still considering ashen rider over angel of serenity for the reason you just stated.
So what do you think the deck would look like without blue. Because I have found an early deathrite and tome scour will win games fast.
The deck is not four colors, its three, but yes there are a couple red and white costing cards as well, but the idea is I reanimate them or use mana producers.
So someone gimme some ideas on mana then, or anyone see a decent junk list?

Adephage won't stick around like aetherling or obzedat. Also it's too expensive. I like your deck since it has more fair play ways to win but it also only has one activator, commune with the gods. What if you have whip and also 2 big creatures in your hand and can't cast the creatures, lotleth would save you or grisly salvage atleast to get lotleth or another good creature......
Anyway here it is
BUG whip
4 commune with the gods
4 tome scour
2 abrupt decay
2 hero's downfall
3 ratchet bomb
3 breaking // entering
3 sylvan caryatid
2 obzedat, ghost council
2 angel of serenity
2 aetherling
3 lotleth troll
3 Forest
1 Golgari Guildgate
3 Island
4 Overgrown Tomb
6 Swamp
1 Temple of Deceit
2 Temple of Mystery
4 Watery Grave

I really looked hard at the chant. If it also reanimated once when it came in I would be playing it. The upkeep thing just makes it too slow.
