If it's mostly a Golem factory I'd be tempted towards the LL/AZ/RSF flavor of deck rather than BTE->GHC/FFS deck. I'm feeling like intrinsic haste is better than more non-hasty creatures. With all that devotional fuel seems good to run FoM as well.
Thoughts?
I really don't think you want legion loyalist, but I am otherwise in agreement, scg open winner's bte preference be damned.

How do you guys feel about Firedrinker Satyr? The downside worries me a bit. Like having multiples out and getting hit by AoG or MM, or getting an unexpected Advent of the Wurm flashed in against your attacking Satyr.
Yeah, I know. Don't play multiples. Don't attack into open mana.
Well, not playing multiples makes the dups dead cards in your hand. Dead cards are a huge hinderance to the aggro game plan.
Not attacking into G/W mana because they might have AotW makes you susceptible to bluffing, and not attacking every turn plays right into their strategy and gives them time to stabilize.
I'm thinking, tho, that there's not much better choice than the Satyr. There's Legion Loyalist, but you really need something to pump the little dude or he's just underwhelming. There's Foundry Street Denizen, but he seems more like a friend of the tokens than a hasty RDW soldier.

Step 1: If you have multiples in hand, play multiples.
Step 2: If your opponent has open mana, attack anyway - you can't skip the most important part of your turn just because your opponent might have a trick.
Step 3: Don't care about taking damage because the vast majority of the time it's irrelevant (every game you play ask yourself if the damage you took from Satyr was a factor - if you win the answer is no, if you lose ask yourself if you'd have likely won that game with an extra 3 or 4 or whatever life)
Step 4: If the damage done to your opponent by Satyr is less relevant in a MU than the damage done to you by Satyr then SB them out.

redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
RDW with Xenagos...this idea came from getting 2 Xenagos at pre-release
Almost mono red....but you can count on Burning Tree Emissary to get Xenagos on the field and then use his +1 to spam all your burns if the game runs that late.

If you're playing any sort of Sligh list or All-in list it should be a 4-of, end of discussion. If you're playing a Big Red style list then you probably don't want it (or Cackler for that matter) at all. Like Redthirst said, if Satyr is bad in a particular matchup then you board it out. Worrying about losing 6 life because your opponent casts Anger of the Gods on your board of 2 Satyrs is silly because your life total should not be very relevant against most of the kinds of decks running Anger of the Gods (and once again if it for some reason is then you board them out). Realistically the reason you lose to something like Anger of the Gods is because you get 2 (or more)-for-1ed and lose too much board position and tempo, not because you lost a few extra life.
Played this today vs Esper and almost-monoblack with loads of lifegain and Desecration Demon. They’re both too slow, although a resolved Whip of Erebos is very nasty.
One of my opponent told me to keep LL for my RDW this rotation tokens are everywhere so ill keepin it as my sb with firedrinker satyr maybe...
With lingering souls and moorland haunt out, and call of the conclave being 1 upped by fleecemane lion, I would be careful about worrying about tokens too much. The meta may shift in a more tokeny direction, but I'm not too worried at the moment.

Still not completely sold on Firedrinker Satyr yet. 1 mana 2/1 is the only good thing about it. Even if you don't care about the damage, 1R for +1/+0 is extremely underwhelming and most of the time you are better off casting another critter in your hand anyway.

712.5b The controller of another player can't make choices or decisions for that player that aren't called for by the rules or by any objects. The controller also can't make any choices or decisions for the player that would be called for by the tournament rules.
Example: The player who's being controlled still chooses whether he or she leaves to visit the restroom, trades a card to someone else, agrees to an intentional draw, or calls a judge about an error or infraction.
And you should always curve out if you can. that should always put more power and pressure on the board. however, as t-mac said, you don't always have the best hand and firedrinker can help pull you out of that.
And against control he is crazy good. Last night, playing RWU control. Game one (so I don't know what I'm playing against), i kept a 3 land, firedrinker, 2x Boros Reckoner, lightining strike hand. I'm on the play and drop firedrinker. He plays a hallowed fountain tapped, so I think I have him on UWx control. I top deck a land and swing 3 (he's at 17, I'm at 19). He plays a land and passes. I swing 2 and play a reckoner. he d-spheres it. I swing 2 (he's at 13) and play my other reckoner. d-sphere again. i then play my fifth land play a phoenix, swing 5 (he's at 8). Third D-sphere for the phoenix. swing with firedrinker and double pump (puts him at 4). He finally answers the firedrinker and I just burn him out. the pump ability allowing me to utilize my mana even though I was flooding out let me win that game. if firedrinker had been a cackler, I don't know if I could have won that game. sometimes you don't have the 2-drop and in that case he gets in for three. I like him, you just have to be really careful with him game one.
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.
The only real reason I can see to NOT play Firedrinker Satyr maindeck is if your meta is just swamped with RDW or maybe Izzet or something else with lot's of good burn. He is a 2/1 for 1 that i also a mana sink in mono red, too good to pass up IMO even with a detrimental downside in the mirror.. By the way I am still sticking to all in red as I don't have my boros reckoner yet and feel like this works pretty well
The hardest part about this deck is weather or not to keep one landers (most of the time it is a no but I will still do it on the draw with a otherwise godly hand).. I am debating just cutting Dyncharge all together for Madcap Skills main deck as I believe it will usually do more in that slot.. Really if it gets my creature in and dds 3 damage to that attack it has done all it needs to but if it stays on board unchecked for 2 turns it has more than done enough.
I'm kind of working with what I have at the moment and trying to get a hold of a few things. The Valkas is just in there because I don't have a Stormbreath yet, and I would replace him with a second if I could get two, and the hatchlings are for the evasion/lack of owning a better card.
Also, I was wondering if Ember Swallower could find a place here. He could monstrous pretty quick with Nykthos
You deal with them by bringing the players life total to zero before they cast those spells.
Considering how much junk reanimator used to give me problems in the last format, should we consider some artifact removal in the side? Both abilities on the whip really hurt in those matchups.

The red mage lives by the variance and dies by the variance. May the variance be with you, always.
@Kahmos yeah I just meant that Sylvan Caryatid was what was stopping me from doing that. What were you thinking of Siding against Artifacts? I agree that whip can get pretty annoying, especially if they have Obzedat (although hopefully they're dead by then lol)
@t-mac So I just need to make sure I have a 3 power on t2 then huh? Is Madcap my best bet then? Also how many Act of Treason are you running/Sideboarding. I have two maindeck right now. Should I go 3 or just chuck them in the SB until I see something scary?

You never have excess mana. It's never a good idea to avoid further extending into the board.
