Naya Midrange has been my favorite deck for quite some time now, and it seems that it will be almost just as good from pre-rotation bar the land consistantcy. Naya midrange is really powerful because it has so many really good value creatures. The way I play Naya midrange is to try to have as many cards as possible that have favorable matchups against both control and aggro, having this idea in mind helps me to be ready for just about any matchup that i go against, making my first game win percentage generally pretty high.
Creatures 4 Elvish Mystic (Mana ramp, good against racing aggro) 4 Voice of Resurgence (Great value card good against both control and aggro, is basically 2 blockers against aggro, and 2 spell removal cards against control) 4 Fleecemane Lion (Great value with being ahead on the curve against aggro, and is a win condition against control) 1 Scavenging Ooze (Not as good as pre-rotation as there arent many graveyard based decks yet, still a great card and can be a powerhouse in mid to late game when graveyards get filled up which is why every green deck should have atleast one, considering putting 2 in) 4 Loxodon Smiter (Great value card, good against both aggro and control) 3 Boros Reckoner (Only play 3 this format because I run 4 forests and thus land consistantcy can be an issue, still a great card that dominates aggro, not so good against control) 3 Boon Satyr (Another great card that works well both as a flash blocker against aggro, and a great value aura that turns into a creature making 2 for 1 against control, the 2 toughness is a bit of an issue against aggro however, still a great card against both matchups but leans more toward being better against control) 3 Stormbreath Dragon (Because we have so many cards that just dominate aggro, we can afford to have a few top end creatures that really help speed up our deck against control, this card is pretty much a poor man's thundermaw hellkite, but its still good and has pro-white which is awesome against control, and has an alright monstrosity effect, good against control) 1 Aurelia, The War Leader (Same as stormbreath dragon in the sense of needing high end cards to speed deck up against control, however this card is different in that it can turn a losing game into a out of no where win which is really amazing, great card but is also a personal preference)
Planeswalkers 7 4 Domri Rade (Ah yes, this guy is amazing, -1 ability good aginst aggro, +1 ability good against control, really good card for both matchups) 3 Xenagos, the Revealer (You might have been woundering where my 4 drop was? well here it is! Another great r/g planeswalker, i like this card over ghor-clan rampager as I have always thought ghor-clan just does not fit in Naya midrange decks because our creatures are already bigger than everyone elses and it is a pretty lackluster card agaist control. This card however is really good against both matchups, although it does favor a little more against the control matchup, really good card overall though)
Instant and Sorceries 2 2 Chained to the Rocks or Mizzium Mortars (Because domri rade is a huge part of this deck, the deck generally does not want many non-creature spells, however a little removal is necessary in just about every deck, I am going back and forth against playing chained and mizzium mortars, both have their own advantages and disadvantages and ill just have to test more and see more of what the meta is going to be playing to decide which i like better. Chained to rocks is only one mana, but requires two different types of mana to be played, it also exiles which is amazing for one mana, good against problem cards such as Voice of resurgence, boros reckoner, scavenging ooze, Angel of Serenity, Advent of the wurm, Desecration Demon etc. Mizzium Mortars on the other hand is a 2 mana spell for 4 damage which is pretty efficient and is a one sided board wipe at 6 mana which is amazing, good against problem cards such as blood baron of vizkopa, Stormbreath Dragon etc, also works well with xenagos +1 ability. Both are really good cards but right now i am leaning toward chained to the rocks.)
Side Deck (My idea of what i play in my side deck is either to replace cards that are not good against a certain matchup ie boros reckoner against control, or to specifically deal with problem cards the deck has to deal with. So what I do is I specifically look at how many cards i have that are bad against aggro, or control and have that many cards in my side deck to side in, making my matchup that much better) 2 Assemble the Legion (Win condition against control, Really the only card right now that is an easy win condition against control decks which more often than not they wont be able to race you once u play this card) 2 Boros Charm (Good against supreme verdict control decks) 1 Pithing Needle (Good against control, owns aetherling and planeswalkers) 1 Hammer of Purporos (Great side deck card for late game control decks) 4 Unflinching Courage (Auto-win against aggro) 2 Mizzium Mortars (good against aggro and the mirror matchup, and to deal with specific cards like Blood Baron and Stormbreath) 2 Chained to the rocks (Good against decks that have bigger creatures than us which can be a problem for us sometimes) 1 Destructive Revelry (Seems like there might be alot of enchantments running around, good card to deal with specific problem cards like the god cards and detention spheres)
1. 4 Forests in a deck with 3 reckoners You are already chock-full of creatures AND 3-drops, why not cut the reckoners for something easier on your mana and more suited to the big bodies you are already running? Try unflinching courage or more removal in place of the reckoners, I think you will be surprised how effective it becomes.
2. 2 removal just isn't enough, sorry. Most aggro decks worth their salt have plenty of ways to get around 1 or 2 creatures, so if they put you on the back-foot from the beginning of the game, it's going to be nearly impossible to stay alive in the face of burn spells or flying threats like chandra's phoenix or stormbreath dragon.
3. You are over-valuing Domri. He's a great card, but the naya card pool doesn't have a lot of creatures that actually have an EtB effect, so basing your entire strategy on flooding the board with bigger or better creatures than your opponent is destined to fail. Either go big with more monstrous dudes to make use of xenagos, or cut the mystics and xenagos to open up some slots for removal. You can load up on the anti-control cards out of the sideboard.
