Well, I can honestly say that I haven't taken it to any high caliber events yet. The deck was recommended to me by one of the top players in Canada. The store I play at locally has some high caliber players as well. Not to mention I've been playing this game for 10 plus years and have a fairly decent resume to back it up.
I suppose though I really need to take it to a high caliber event to see how it truly performs.
There is a big event this Sunday I plan to take the deck too. Also a PTQ next weekend. If the deck meets my expectations, I will run it at the PTQ, if not, looks like I will be sleeving up American Flash.
I will post results after this Sundays events, for anyone who cares.

I definitely care and plan on hoping you fail so I know it's not just me <3
And yeah I never mean to knock you or anything you done, but when you go up against 3 rounds of naya, 2 rounds of reanimator and 2 rounds of Jund in a row, that's where I wanna see how the deck fairs, because for me, I get half of those wins.
Well, I'm going out to a local event tonight to get some more testing in. Ill keep you posted. I'll update my list on here before the weekend as well.
The big bonus I have, is that there are very few Jund players in my area, and most of them suck xD.
My biggest concern is Reanimator.
What have you been doing recently in that regard?
I've found that so long as they don't have the Sin Collector, Slime, Resto draw, the match is fine. It just plays a pretty bad midrange strategy.
However, turn 4 Slime, turn 5 Resto or better is super super hard to win through, especially with out a pike x_x
Reanaimtor was exactly that, hope for no Turn 2/3 collector turn 4/5 slime angel.
Otherwise I had Progenitor Mimic,Counterspells and Smiters to beat down.
Even if they resolved something small like a slime or whatever I could simic charm for hexproof or I would mimic it or mimic my own smiter/wurm.
Honestly I found reanimator to be my easier matchup baring collector/slime/resto/resto, Which is weird cause as you feel about aggro, most people say it is there harder matchup.
Ahh that one, the one I am going to run is in my signature.
My base is 1 Aetherling 2/3 snapcaster 3/4 reckonor build with atleast 3 sphinx's and some form of planeswalkers/assemble the legion.
Not 100% sure on jace's or if I stick with tamiyo or a split.
But anyway hope it doesn't come to that for you, good luck
I think your right about staying at 4 snap/2 Angel.
Although, I think ill run Ghost Quarter over Refuge.
Definitely going up to 4 Selesnya Charm
Only other thoughts are maybe going -1 Rewind +1 Dissipate
I can't wait to see how it performs now.
Only reason I am running the Alchemist is for the BUG Control matchups for verdicts and call of conclave flashback and hard cast. Gives us a little more late game planeswalker hate if our wurms are ran out.
What do you guys think? What about Call of the Conclave in this deck. I love the idea of snapping in a 3/3 centaur into play. I also want to try Rapid Hybirdization with the Voices but i am not sure. I love the idea of killing your own voice to get a 3/3 frog lizard. Let me know what you think. I will post my results later on tonight.
Ok my deck went 2-2 in the FNM tonight. I won against two kids who were playing mishmash decks and were new to the game. They really did not know all the basics of the game. I play this one Maze's End deck which the guy would win with the maze. He also had one creature Saruli Gatekeeper and he would fog and just win the game. I was not packing pithing needles. The other deck i lost to I lost 2-1 was a gruul blood rushish deck. He won with big creatures. The last game I lost to him i misplayed a sphinx's revelation tapping all my lands instead of leaving some open for spells. I will play more next week and post more results. I find that in these games i never saw a farseek much and I saw my voices more. The biggest he ever got to was a 5/5 so thats pretty neat. All in all not a bad day
I played Tokens, out tempo'd him, and won quickly both games.
Win 2-0
Round 2
R/W/B (lingering souls + Stuff)
Didn't see anything but Souls, Searing Spear and Pillar of Flame.
Won in short order.
Win 2-0
Round 3
Junk Aristocratz
This guy made a million play errors.
Still pulled off 2 wins on the back of double Artist and Voices.
Also I mulled to 5 in game 2 and never saw a 4th land.
This tilted me a bit. I mean the guy was terrible x_x
Lose 2-0
Round 4
R/B (Crypt Ghast + Grislebrand Control
I beat him strictly through card advantage generated by Sphinxs and Snaps.
Win 2-0
Round 5
Naya Blitz
This was an interesting match.
Game 1, he played his hand out, and I lost on turn 4. I kept a hand of 4 lands, 1 Snap, 1 Sphinxs, and a Thoughtscour. Bricked on the Thoughscour lost in short order.
Game 2, he playes turn 1 Champion, Turn 2 BTE, BTE, Mayor, turn 3 Mayor.
I think I played one spell that game.
Now I'm really tilted. I need to win my next two rounds to top 8.
I look at the standings. My breakers are terrible, I have no chance of making top 8 even if I win out.
I sit down for round 6, the guy leads with turn 1 Temple Garden, Doomed Traveler. I concede on the spot and go off to play some Modern Masters side events.
All in all, the deck performed well. I will say the Junk Ratz matchup is almost unwinnable. Apparently we need to run 4 Rest in Peace in the board, and side out 4 Snaps, in order to win this match.
The Naya Blitz guy went on to Top 2 the event. I didn't stay to watch the finals.
I think the list I posted is almost as good as its going to get.
However, seeing how popular the Junk Ratz deck was (it was everywhere)
If its going to continue to show that much of a presence, I will retire this deck until it slows down a bit. I don't know how much of a hit we take if we play 4 Rest in Peace in the board.
I have a Tap Out Bant list I'm going to run at the PTQ next weekend.
I still however think that this deck is waiting to steal an event if the meta game is right.
I played Tokens, out tempo'd him, and won quickly both games.

I have a Tap Out Bant list I'm going to run at the PTQ next weekend.
I still however think that this deck is waiting to steal an event if the meta game is right.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot!
yep pretty much the conclusion I came to, if the meta every is a bunch of american flash decks with some aggro decks and hexproof this deck strives, if multiple reanimator strategies and jund is big this deck kind of falls flat.
Yeah I have seen the Bant tap out lists that play Elixir and Urban Evolution and I have played it myself so good luck and have fun with it, it's not bad if you get the ramp and its easier to beat reanimator with it. Tune it right for aggro and its not a bad meta choice.
I went to a GPT With my UWR Deck and got 9th with bad tiebreakers, not to complain but of course I go to versus two rogue decks with Boros legions initiative deck the one Frank Lepore was supporting and got a loss too it in two games. One was top deck for 14 turns and 10 lands no sphinx so I can't complain but damn was I pissed. Then of course I got paired up against the worst matchup in reanaimtor both games got double to triple slimed :/
May try a Bant Control list if I can borrow Thragtusks from a friend though.
This is the list I want to run next weekend. The cards stand alone, are much morre powerful. The deck can generate so much card advantage. And has a decent aggro match. I need to change up the board quite a bit, so disregard the board for now.
I may also go to 3 slimes in the main. I will keep you updated if your interested.
I wish I had been playing this deck today that's for sure.
2 Acidic Slime
2 Angel of Serenity
3 Arbor Elf
4 Loxodon Smiter

Deck Total [60]
I ended up bailing on this deck and made a last minute audible to Bant Auras for a PTQ yesterday. I dropped at 1-2, which had me feeling like I couldn't have done any worse with this deck so that was a bummer.
A good portion of the decks I saw were Junk Aristocrats, which makes me think this deck needs to adapt to stay competitive, but I'm not sure where to go. My initial reaction is to go to 4 colors, which is risky; but gives us some real removal, which is what we are really lacking.
I'm leaving for vacation in a couple of days, so I won't be able to test anything until I get back. But if anyone wants to test at a small tournament this is what I'll be starting with when I get back:
The manabase is probably a little rough, but I just threw it together in the last 20 minutes. The sideboard also probably needs changed as I didn't take the time to figure out how many slots need to come in an out for each MU.
I went 1-1 and was nearly ready to go 2-1 in my Wednesday tournament but i had to leave for work so i did not finish.
The first game was against boros which he slaughtered me with creatures. The next two games i sided in some supreme verdicts and some renounce the guilds and won the next with little trouble. Me 2-1
The next one is a naya humans. I won the first one going away the second one i lost to not getting my creature removal in time. The last game i was color screwed the whole game and lost. Him-2-1
The last game I was able to play was a grixis colored control that uses fog banks to stay alive and counter stuff and far and away things. I won the first match the next one was his and the third went his way because i had to leave for work. I was winning and might would have won. He was at 3 life i was at 20 or so.
All in all not bad, I will play tommorrow if I go to the FNM there. I took out the farseeks for 3 thought scours. Farseek is just a dead card in my hand. Sometimes I never use it and dont need it.

I'm wondering if there is anything besides Simic Charm that we can run to reduce the odds of them successfully shutting us out with that draw.
I am running 3 Simic Charms as it stands. I'm wondering if a second Pike in the board is worth the slot?
Maybe an Essence Scatter in the board?

Cut 3 Auger
Add 3 Call of the conclave.
I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.
It gives us an early threat against control.
It blocks so much better then Auger
Plus, going turn 2 Call of the Conclave turn 3 Unflinching Courage turn 4 Advent/Smiter/Resto, makes our aggro match up so much better!
I'd like some thoughts on this before I run it on Sunday.
Sounds good by me, like I said I'll never completely bail on it, I'm just skeptical but I will definitely try it out
Question do we drop something for a 3rd Angel? or are you staying with a 3/3 split with snapcaster.
Because right now I'm running 4 snap and 2 angel and think 4 snap is better with call of the conclave.
P.S. I tweaked it to look like this: http://www.mtgdeckbuilder.net/Decks/ViewDeck/653177
Although, I think ill run Ghost Quarter over Refuge.

Concerns going in. I hope to God that Brad Nelsons Junk Aristocrats deck isn't to popular.
Hope the Reanimator match isn't to frequent.
