Yeah you already considered Domri, but potentially Chandra could be used here for similar reasons. It has a psudo card draw effect, which is something a deck like this needs or it risks getting losing steam against control.
I'm personally not a fan of Door of Destinies. The turn you drop it, it's not going to have an effect. So there is going to be a conflict between dropping it vs dropping another Sliver and continuing the aggression.
Galerider sliver is good, but it suffers from not having enough blue sources. You probably won't be able to reasonably play it in the early turns. Splashing blue for bigger stuff makes sense, just not smaller stuff.
The idea behind Galerider is I also have manaweft to fix.
Door is "Backup Plan B"
True.
But effectively Galerider costs 2-3 to play because it's never going to be dropped on turn 1.
Maybe that's what you want though, because flying is pretty good evasion. So having a card like this that you can play after all your other slivers on turn 4-5 to give them all evasion and swing in. But if you do that you might not even need 4 of them.
If you were trying to go aggro with it (8 1 cost creatures, 8 2 cost creatures etc), don't expect to play Galerider turn 1 that often. You only have 4 lands that make blue mana. So with effectively only 4- 1 drops, it's possible you miss your turn 1 play, but maybe you want to go a little bigger and cash in with your 2-3 drops.
Perhaps I should go the other route and make the Tombs Breeding Pools?
I mean... try it out. I don't know the math, I think you might need more than 8 sources to reliably cast it on turn 1. But if you try to play the deck you'll figure out these small things.
Really needs a sideboard, and I'm trying to find the right balance between slivers and lands. Legion's Initiative is in the side in case I come across non-"destroy" board wipe, and Rest in Peace for graveyard decks (though Unburial Rites is rotating out, at least). Thinking about throwing Psychic Spiral in there 'cause mill is getting popular now, or maybe some counterspells (Negate/Dispel) to deal with spot removal or other nasty spells.
Same post from a thread I created... KoolMage directed me to this thread
So my friends wanted me to build a standard deck, and I haven't played standard in quite some time. Anyways, I love tribal decks, and love the versility of the charm cards. I doubt this will be something good, but whatever. This list in built in mind for post rotation, or you would see Cavern of Souls in the list
If this belongs somewhere else, please move mods. Also wasn't sure if this should be in the Slivers primer, if it does, please move.
I debating swapping one of each basic for its x/U shock land equivalent, then swapping in either Simic Charms or Galerider Slivers. (I don't feel like Syphon Sliver would be too incredibly useful, as an aggro / midrange deck, but I also suck, lol.)

Syphon Sliver is good in the right build. If you curve 1 Galerider, 1 Sentinel, Syphon Turn 3 swing for 3 Vigilant flying lifelink damage; into T4 Bonescythe Sliver you swing for 10 flying lifelinking double strike damage with vigilant creatures.
LSV also gave the card a decent rating in his M14 set review for Syphon sliver citing that it's one of the better reasons to be in a sliver build, because it makes it quite hard for aggro to race you.
^ You mean Inpossibru to race us. I like Chromatic in the builds with Charms due to heavy color commitment. Vs the slivers, which have a light color requirement.
I think Thorncaster as a 2 of in any build is good. The reason it's not hellrider is haste is a thing. Blur helps that, but it's something. Also a 5 drop instead of a 4.
Anyone want to stop by the Sliver primer in my sig?
So that's it. Its basically just a Naya build, as you can see. My only real concern is the mana base. I have decided on 22 lands, but not exactly which 22 lands. Since we don't yet know what kinds of dual lands Theros will provide, I may just end up running 4 Transguild Promenades, 2 Mutavaults and basics for now. In any case, I'll figure out a way to make the mana base work, though any and all advice is welcome and not just concerning the mana base.
I think sentinel could be a 2 of same with thorn aster not sure why biomass is there. I'm hoping for good fixing in theros too. It would be awesome to get the vivid lands that don't enter tapped if you control an ally/enemy color if the colour the land produces.
Well that's fine for me to take out a couple Sentinel and Thorncaster, but what do I replace them with? Battle Sliver? Megantic Sliver? Something else? I suppose I could try to work Galerider Sliver in...
And Biomass is there as my replacement for Door. I can pump up their base P/T and still get pumped by Predatory, have first strike, have vigilance, etc. Admittedly, it may come out eventually, but I haven't had a problem with it yet.
As I said, my real concern is the mana base. Supposedly we're getting a new cycle of dual lands in Theros, so there's no telling what they'll be. I'm not the kind of player to go out and spend a ton of money on cards, especially just some lands to make the deck run more smoothly. I'm not about to go out and buy X of the dual lands, so hopefully Theros has some nice, budget, duals (wishful thinking, I know).
2 Blur Sliver
2 Setinel Sliver
2 Bonescythe Sliver
2 Megantic Sliver
2 Syphon Sliver
2 Thorncaster Sliver
4 Striking Sliver
4 Predatory Sliver
4 Manawelf Sliver
4 Galerider Sliver
3 Hive Stirrings
3 Boros Charm
2 Door of Destinies
2 Domri Rade
Lands - 22
2 Stomping Ground
4 Temple Garden
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Mutavault
4 Hallowed Fountain
4 Overgrown Tomb
Tear it apart MTGS!
Why didn't I include..?
I mainly tried for the lower cost slivers building up. I included Domri for Card Advantage + Ultimate feels so slivery.
Domri - Card Advantage
Off Color Slivers - Manawelf alone fixes into them.
Thorncaster + Syphon - Lifegain and Creature removal =p
