GW Aggro versus Jund. Also "Progenitor Bant" vs a Junk variant I want to say. Things got pretty whacky when he resolved Progenitor Mimic on his own Thragtusk then when his opponent tried to come back with his Angel of Serenity, the Bant player Resto'ed the Mimic to copy Angel of Serenity. The field was clogged with so many fatties.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
What decks did they showed on camera besides those?
A Rock deck just steamrolled a Bant Tokens list 2-0.

Have a helicopter drop you off out front. Light your cigar with a small Indonesian boy holding a black lotus. Then bust out a craw wurm deck with no sleeves. Raw dog shuffle, loose terribly, flip the table, leave in a hovercraft.
Its not a sweet play, its a misplay.
The Esper player should have used Warped Physique before letting him go to attacks, as pretty much everyone knows that they play Ghor-Clan...
I want to see this deck tech now. I love the Rock..
It was what you'd expect: Thragtusk, Liliana, Mutilate, Abrupt Decay, Sign in Blood, Disciple of Bolas, Geralf, etc. Basically a Jund list minus the red.

Dredge, Evo-Chord, U/G Faeries, Living End, Something New
Oh yes granted. But it doesn't make it any less cringe worthy. The Esper player could have survived by nuking at least one of them pre-combat then Supreme Verdict afterwards. Hopefully able to durdle for some life-gain since he was at 10 and the R/G aggro player had +3 dudes already out.

This is pretty common though.
Just like you'll see aggro players develop the bad habit of playing into sweepers too easily, control players can develop the bad habit of having flash-itis.
It was a bad play, but a bad play that's in keeping with the demeanor of the deck's style.

Ghor-Clan Rampager is just making a fool of people. R/G person swings with a flinthoof, opponent's tracker tries to fight only to run into a bloodrush.

I love seeing the deck, Aristocrats Pt. 2 on camera. I've been waiting for that, since I think the deck is pretty good.
I wish I could see some Gr Aggro (no, not Rg Aggro).

Are the top 8 decklists not posted yet? I can't seem to find a link to them on starcity.
I'm very interested to see that Rock deck that top 8ed. Looks like it was 2nd overall and lost to Naya Blitz, which, anything can have a bad matchup against a deck like Naya and lose. Overall it was new and intriguing, would like to check that out in more detail.
It's annoying that some Opens promptly post T8 lists before the first round of T8 begins; Meanwhile, other Opens won't post T8 lists until much later-- as late as the next morning/afternoon. Consistency would be nice on this matter. [It might be a pet peeve of mine. It's annoying when I discover a local TO doesn't submit T8 lists for their PTQ, as well. It happens way too often in my area]

This could also be the result of other issues as well...
There could be deck list issues, deck checks, something wrong with standings, etc...

There were quite a few deck issues this weekend. There were matches that were 1-0 at the start of the round due to mistakes in deck lists. The one where Adam prosak pulled that win from nowhere , he was at a loss because of writing something on the decklist by mistake.

A few new decks I haven't seen much of, at least offline anyways.... G/B Midrange (aka the Rock) and a very interesting 4c Control Variant with Huntmasters and Assemble the Legion.

lmao. It's like reverse-vintage. Now that Standard is only about turning hordes sideways it seems there will just be four colors from now on. But hey, "Jund with white" is gonna be a thing soon I hear.
Esper Control Player: Sure
*Goes all in*
Esper: Warped Physique on a Rancor'ed Burning-tree Emissary for +4/-4.
RG: Ghor-clan Rampager blood rush. Take twelve?
Esper: GG... GG.
That was brutal to watch.

That's just a big mistake from an Esper player.

I don't even know right now.
I'm guessing sarcasm?
Were there exactly 0? There really isn't much reason to run Blue right now.
EDIT> There was a "RUG Peddler."

I lol'd.
I find standard less interesting due to the absence of a blue presence.
