Threw this together yesterday afternoon. Went 3-3 FNM. Probably should have gone 4-2 but I made some bad plays that cost me at least one game. I almost always sided out slimes for Healers and or Abrupt Decay. Going to have 4 AB in the 75 and probably main 4 Healers next time.
Game one
Red/Green aggro
He runs treetop bracers, that deathtouch snake and blood rush guys.
Note, his deck can be scary fast but does pitter out faster then other R/W/G deck. The blood rush can win a game but if you can get any kind of life gain going and manage to take out 1-2 of his guys not to bad.
I win 2-1
Overall 1-0
Red/White boros
Game 1 Boros Reckoner is a pain, need to run more AB.
Game 2 Deck is fast but an early Healer bounced then unburial slows him enough for me to win
Game 3 goes long, I think I going to grind it out till he plays the R1 spell where you exile cards to do damage directed at Reckoner, I take 18 to the face
He wins 2-1
Overall 1-1
Blue/black mill
He mills or flashes guys back, I o-ring or when his guy gets to big ( the one who */* equals cards in your grave yard.
I win with 1 card left in my library
Game 2 ends at time.
I win 1-0-1
Overall 2-1
Red/White boros
Pretty much the same as other Boros match, lose game 1 win game 2 lose game 3
He wins 2-1
Overall 2-2
Red/Blue guttersnipe
Game 1 get Closet / Thrag going , keep through bests at him wind up winning
Game 2 3 guttersnipes me 6 damage every time he loots/whatever too much for me.
Game 3 he never draw a guttersnipe fairly easy win
I win 2-1
Overall 3-2
Red/White/green humans/battlion
Game 1 he starts to fast can stabilize
Game 2 start to stabilize get gready and attack with smiter, forgot to add in the +1/+1 from the Mayor of Avarbruck and he does 10 on the attack back, I at 10 sad face
He wins 2-0
Overall 3-3
As you can see my meta is flooded with Rx aggro, no zombies to be seen and nary a control deck. Thinking of another Fiend Hunter or two. The whole cast, cloudshift, you lose two dudes, one permanently is great against aggro decks. Or even bouncing him to exile a guy middle of combat to pull one guy out of the attack is helpful. Think of moving at least two Rites to the board, they are two slow against agro, but a ton of help against other decks. Takes some use to playing it, but I think it has potential. Would think of going red instead of black for huntsmasters but Abrupt Decay is an all star, hate to lose it. Anyfeed back appreciated (yes I know there are 61 cards)
The GW Blink deck from RTR season had reasonably good results, although it showed up kind of late in that cycle near rotation so i don't think it did more than rank well in some mtgo dailies a few times. Using GTC lands to stretch into zegana or obzedat in the same shell is probably still competitive, certainly close enough to be discussed in the subforum until someone puts in the time to say something more concrete than 'it does well at my fnm' or 'i tested it on cockatrice and it's amazing.'
Typical dismissal made in ignorance. Can't blame you seeing as so many players of non competitive decks make the same claims constantly around here. I fully expected this response.
However, you're wrong. The Bouncy deck I played was Tier 1 for months. Probably the best deck in Standard and certainly the best deck no one was playing except me.
Post Gatecrash, it isn't as dominant. That's not to say that the deck isn't worth talking about.
Again I should stress that no build without Acidic Slime should even be considered. The card is that good. Last night I faced an Omniscience deck that had reached 7 mana. By the time I was done he had one mana and he'd hit a couple land drops and resolved a Farseek. That was not only most satisfying, it's not an uncommon event. Getting out an Acidic vs non aggro is more important than getting out Thragtusk.
I'm sure there's room for improvement. Blade Splicer is something I've never run. That's the point of this thread isn't it? To discuss how to improve a deck.
Seems the only conversations I find are how hopeless the archetype is. That's BS. I'm playing against very stiff competition at my fnm. Not a bunch of weak players. Guys ranked highly in Washington State. Good players and lots of netdecking. I've seen it all. I know the decks good matchups and bad and pre-Gatecrash it was THE deck to beat IMO.
I wouldn't recommend trying Blade Splicer any time soon either. It'd be a good way to lose every match you play it in.

Fiend Hunter blinking all over the place removes creatures permanently.
Bouncing Prime Speaker Zengana not only gives you massive CA, you can get a pretty large fattie out of him.
Blinking Obzedat, Ghost Council after it has swung can be pretty good to I hear. though that would require heavy black.
Any blink deck pretty much begs to be Bant. You can throw in a splash of black or red, but your core is pretty much Bant. Huntmaster doesn't do enough, IMO, to warrant a splash in red. Zealous Conscript, however, could be broken, in which case throwing in the Huntmaster would make sense.
Black only really offers Unburial Rites and instant kill cards along with Grisly Salvage and Abrupt Decay. Still, with all the hexproof and the Human reanimator decks running around, having instant speed Tribute to Hunger isn't a bad thing at all.

I completely agree with the analysis here. I've even brewing together two lists of 4-color blink. One with Red and one with Black. As stated here, red gives you access to Humaster and Zealous, whereas, black gives access to disciple of bolas, obzedat, and the surprisingly bomby undying evil. Of course, I think there's also the possibility of going Bant-colore and sticking with Zegans/AoS as your primary kills with deadeye and tusk.
This deck has insane possibility and abuses two of the most powerful mechanics in magic. ERB effects (and powerful ones, at that) and instant speed play (cloudshift/ghostly in resp, faiths reward EoT, Resto angel a creature for blocks etc). A well constructed deck should be able to beat both the aggressive decks of this format, as well as the Grindy Revelation control decks.
The problem many players seem to have is acknowledging that Blink decks are different than any other meta netdecks. They certainly aren't aggro. Though they are not really midrange. And by no means are they control.
They are their own thing. As some would say it is "random" or "anti-meta" because people won't expect it or know how to deal with it at all.
I would love to try out a true blink deck, but alas I lack virtually all the cards except Resto Angels and cloudshift to make a competitive BantBlink. But I have always been a fan of cloudshift and restoration angel since they were introduced to standard.
Currently running an Orzhov deck 2 cloudshifts and 4 angels are putting in their work for the deck, though not necessarily a "blink" deck.

I had totally missed Undying Evil! Not only is it a whole nother set of Cloudshifts, but it answers Supreme Verdict exceedingly well as well as allows you to block in situations where you normally would be disadvantaged to do so.
I definitely will have to play around with that card.

Yeah undying evil tempts me to go junk colors but besides undying you only really get ghost dad and some decent removal options so I'm not sure.
Also, there's no sideboard...o.O new meta! nosideboard.dec, just make the maindeck that good hahaha.
If you go here: http://mtgpulse.com/event/12737#178421 and click the pdf file in the options it will load the decklist that was submitted and there's no sideboard on it.

Yeah, but to be fair, what the hell is a deck like this even going to put in the sideboard? It's already really strong against basically any deck with a gimmick, it keeps midrange at bay pretty easily, and it already has like every card you'd want against aggro in the mainboard.

The sideboard would let you go up to 4 ofs for any given matchup. Healer vs. aggro, etc.
From what I remember there was a G/W Conjurer's Closet decklist that was pretty popular at the beginning of RTR Standard. It's still inherently powerful, as constantly blinking cards like Thragtusk and Centaur Healer is still just as obnoxious now as it was in October.

Losing Blade Splicer really hurts, and you can only fit so many flicker effects.
Thragtusk, Borderlands Ranger, Huntmaster of the Fells, and Fiendhunter all come into mind that can do something with Restoration Angel
-Michael Jacob
Looking at the idea of Blinking, the most important cards are the blinkers:
Cloudshift
Restoration Angel
Deadeye Navigator
Snapcaster Mage flashing back a Cloudshift is a very powerful play.
Acidic Slime and Thragtusk are both very powerful.
Centaur Healer helps to survive aggro
Augur of Bolas gives us card advantage.
Angel of Serenity bonded to Navigator is gg.
