I have to agree the mana base has been too hard the deck needs basic lands to run but I can't fit it into a 4 colour shell.
I have been trying to see if their was a solution, Junk is the sensible colour combination because I am not sure it can run without burning tree emissary.
The problem with mulching is that it can drop the immortal faiths and faiths rewards into the grave from which it is hard to return them.. the problem is card filtering is only available in blue and red.
I saw this thread before I went to work and thought about it all day. Instead of X=2 or X=3. Why don't we go bigger? Like 9/9 Haste big. Let's make X=5 Immortal Servitude.
With X=5, it gives us access to one of the premier creatures in the format. Thundermaw Hellkite. 5 CMC seems to be the magic number since there's also Wolfir Silverheart, Thragtusk and Zealous Conscripts in that slot. Ideally we'd like to cast Servitude for X=5 with a Wolfir Silverheart, Thundermaw Hellkite, Thragtusk then Zealous Conscripts in ranking order. I've also included Fervor there if we want to go all in with the Thragtusks and Wolfir Silverhearts as well
The issue actually arises from getting the creatures to the graveyard. With Rest in Peace safely in everyone's sideboard, we don't want to leave our fatties in there for more than 2 turns. Balustrade Spy lets us mill ourselves until we hit a land. How do we then minimise our land count in the deck?
Farseek, Ranger's Path, Caravan Vigil, Evolving Wilds. Well first of all, we'd need to get to 8 mana, to even cast Immortal X=5ervitude. So with this amount of ramp, it shouldn't be an issue. Faithless Looting allows us to filter through and find Immortal Servitude and Balustrade Spy.
Now that I think about it, why don't we just play Primal Surge?
i like this version but i think mulch would be better than vigil
It would be excellent in an X=4 list. They see each other enter play, so I believe getting him, spark trooper, and hellrider would give them each +2/+2.
To the guy that mentioned Serra Avenger earlier: thank you, you're beautiful.

so if i am that player do i get to sleep with his girlfriend ?
For the aggro matchup, how about Gloom Surgeon from the sideboard? I think it eats all their early drops and they need a removal spell to attack into it.
Because it's a bad card that literally does nothing when you draw it with an empty yard.
To elaborate, if the deck needs to rely on a 2cmc sorcery speed spell, and then tap 5 mana for whatever it got back, that's just not gonna happen enough to be consistent. Spreading it out over 2 turns is even worse, what with the tempo loss.
Would Hellraiser Goblin have a place in an X=3 build to give every creature haste when they come back?
Axebane Guardian, Galvanic Alchemist, and several defenders are at 3 CMC, too. One of them is a sac outlet (Corpse Blockade) for Blood Artist, and one is Wall of Fire which could work with infinite mana + Fling
