I saw Ricky Sidher playing something that looked like Bant splashing red in the TCGPlayer 50K, it had pillar of flames and snapcasters. Anyone else see this list, it looked pretty interesting.
Anyone played this deck? I have been playing dark naya and was wondering which is better and why?
Well, I was playing a very similar strategy, except that I don't play huntmaster, ranger and hellkite, but play Jace, verdict and Serenity. You can see my decklist in my signature.
I tested dark naya before rotation, and never get too happy with it. Long story short - I played RG wolf run last standard. When rotation came near, I tried to migrate my deck to new standard. I turned my attention to Naya wolf run, and build the skeleton of my deck. Kept Huntmaster, Garruk, wolf run and ramp, Elesh Norn->Angel of Serenity, Solemn+Titans->Thragtusk+Resto Angel, Inkmoth Nexus/Rampant Growth->Keyrunes. However, I struggle to find replacements for a reliable sweeper (slagstorm), as well as a CA engine that wreck control strategies (swords). I tried to splash black to add nighthawk and Liliana, rakdos return and slaghter games, but I found that I stretch my mana base too much by doing this, and this version is less consistent than dedicate Jund decks. So, I turned to blue and get Det Sphere, Verdict, Jace and Sphinx, and they're just the tools I needed to fight both aggro and control, without stretching the manabase too far.
It's interesting that while Blue Naya is in the middle of Naya midrange and Bant durdledurdledurdle control, it can have slight variations. The version you posted are closer to Naya midrange, and my version is a bit closer to durdledurdledurdle control. The lesson - this standard is balanced enough, that every decks in the pure midrange--pure control continuum have a chance to perform well.
I'm local to the ATL area so my shops are always pretty filled up the past two FNM's have been around 70~ players. I've been running this deck for about 2 weeks now with a 8-0 record. Just wanted to post it on here to see if anyone is running something similar.

Really, it's just Naya withU splashed in for Sphinx's Revelation and Drogskol Reaver / Supreme Verdict in the side. I like it so far. We'll see what happens with it post-rotation, though.
