This deck was based on a few interactions in standard that I really wanted to make work, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on extra duals to make a fun deck.
The first interaction is Disciple of Bolas with Desecration Demon for huge card draw and lifegain without disrupting tempo. Disciple also rocks with anything and Wolfir Silverheart
The third is Arbor Elf and Underworld Connections. Cast on Forest, double up. The life loss shouldn't be a problem. Obviously this would be better with Duals, but still works fine in a pinch. You have lots of land fetchers to make this easier.
Magic is pretty awesome to us budget players for printing the golgari deck. I've long advocated they give snapcaster mage the stoneforge mystic treatment in an event deck and am glad they at least did it for Thragtusk.
Why don't we workshop the creep and conquer deck here since its a similar format? Keep in mind Thragtusk is easily a $15 card right now and Woodland Cemetery can sell for $8 at minumum (these prices should continue for at least a week) so we potentially even have a little window to arbitrage and trade for some other goodies to add in.
The trio of Nighthawk, Strangleroot, and Dredge Mangler is awesome because even in lategame they are threats that need to be taken care of.
I unfortunately haven't been able to test yet so no clue on which direction to take creep & conquer. For those playing B/G midrange, which decks are giving you the most trouble? Just all the control decks? I would imagine anything running 3x terminus is deadly but can't think of anything else that specifically hoses us.

The second interaction involves Vampire Nighthawk with both Wolfir Silverheart and Revenge of the Hunted. Big life gain again and damage in the air.

Arbor elf is bad without duals.
Moar ramp/fixing t2 is good.
