Hey all. Was running a Junk Super-Friends style deck for a while, but have since decided on a different, more creature-focused deck. The walkers were working ok, but just not performing how I wanted them to. I've since tweaked my deck a bit and have ended up with the following:
So, for my Creature choices. Elvish Visionary replaced Borderland Ranger. Main reason is late game, the Ranger is pretty much a dead card, where I can at least cantrip off the Visionary. The Centaur Healers are good targets for the Restoration Angels for some quick life gain early on. Disciple of Bolas has got to be one of the best cards in the deck. It has 1 job, and 1 job only and that's to give me a mitt full of cards and life. If I get a chump block out of it, that's just a bonus. The Wolfir Silverhearts have been great too. Getting to pair them with a Vampire Nighthawk is always nice. The rest of the creatures speak for themselves really
For my removal suite, I just recently added the 2 Ultimate Prices main deck. I have been testing quite a bit on Cockatrice and it seems a lot of ppl are running tons of Mono-colored creatures, so it will rarely be a dead card to me. Worst case scenario, I can always use it on my own creature to give me the Morbid on Tragic Slip. Abrupt Decay has been...ok. I'm not completely sold on it, but the few times I've had it have been nice. It works great to take out a Detention Sphere or Oblivion Ring and get your stuff back.Selesnya Charm was just added last night to the MD. I've been only 2 pts of damage from a win a few times, and that extra 2 trample damage could have won me the game. It's nice to have an exile option for some of the bigger beaters out there. So they came in from the SB as well.
My mana base hasn't been an issue at all. It has actually done me quite well. I may jump up to a 3rd Overgrown Tomb for a total of 24 land, but with 23 it's been working well for me.
My SB looks something like this:
