So precinct captain is used as a 4 of in the top 2 azorius decks from the SCG open. I feel this card can be a huge threat for the cost of 2 mana as it wins creature battles and u can't ignore for the first few turns by taking the 2 damage like most other 2/2 first strike creatures. Is this card under rated?
I could see it climbing to a few dollars but not much more. RTR will be HEAVILY opened and the rares should be worth less than usual and this will likely not make an impact in other formats.
I wasn't referring to the price, I was referring to the power of the card. How many two drops have a strong impact from landing hits as this guy? Most players just ignore 2-6 damage from strong 2/2 beaters. But this guy, give it rancor to ensure you get a token or land an ajani, caller of pride or silverblade paladin to connect two hits via double strike for 2 1/1 tokens.
Got a decklist? I admit when I think "Azorius deck" this isn't the first card that comes to mind, so I'm curious about how the deck works. I mean, do they use the Detain cards to get him through or what? Because he seems like he'd just get chump-blocked too often to be effective without a way of getting him through.

Because Elite Inquisitor is better in almost any deck you run him in.
This isn't right at all. Elite Inquisitor is not a better card overall, Elite Inquisitor just happens to be positioned well against one of the more easily anticipated decks in the format. If for whatever reason people stop playing Zombies, this card is much better just because it actually does something for your board.

I won't argue that; in fact, it's the whole point of what I posted. The good dr's question was why it's not being used right now.

As far as 2 drop white creatures go.. he ranks like 5th.
