Isn't wasting instants and sorceries bad in terms of card advantage because you could use like 3 spells to get Nivmagus Elemental to 7/8 but a simple removal or bounce will make all those cast cards worthless
I don't think this deck can generate enough card advantage without some form of spell copying, at least not against good CA-generating aggro with Thragtusk, Zombies, Tokens, etc. Most of this burn is at best 3-for-1 until it hits an overloaded Mortars or Miracled Bonfire, and if you don't have a Guttersnipe/Talrand out for all the burn that isn't generating that much CA then you aren't really getting anywhere. Snapcasters can pick up some of that slack for sure.
4 Faithless Looting
4 Pillar of Flame
4 Thought Scour
4 Searing Spear
4 Izzet Charm
3 Runchanter's Pike
4 Steam Vents
4 Sulfur Falls
7 Mountain
8 Island
I think this is the closest deck to what i would run. I still think that even if unsummon is not vapor snag it still does a great job in this deck getting the second part of snag from guttersnipe. ~2 searing spear +2 unsummon. Also thuderous wrath without noxious revival is also not great, but a singleton wrath makes me happy. Seven damage for one red is awesome, but definitely don't want it in my opening hand....might run more though if i wanted to be more tempo based with electromancer.
Unsummon functions very closely to Vapor Snag when Guttersnipe is on the board so I included it. Between Faithless Looting and Izzet Charm there is plenty of draw to dig plus they both help with Runechanter's Pike. Pillar Of Flames, Searing Spear and Izzet Charm are all good for the removal package which already includes Unsummon. Finally, Izzet Charm and Dissipate adds a little counter magic in there as well to protect Guttersnipe and just get rid of any unwanted spells in general. Other than that it's really just like any Delver deck, flip Delver and either put the pike on it or Invisible Stalker and swing. With the addition or Guttersnipe it gives you an alternate win con and puts them on a quicker clock.
anyone try curiosity? for 1 blue it turns all your spells into cantrips which can refill hand in a hurry especially when paired with artful dodge. Put it on snipe and dodge to deal 2 and draw and then swing unblockable for another 2 and draw. Do the same next turn. Profit

I was afraid of that. I wouldn't run either then, and just run more spells.
