I know. I am missing some cards. I need help with what creatures to put into this deck. I just throw in random monsters that I really do not need and they sometimes work and do not work. Karn is staying and Liliana is there because of all the flashback cards I use in this deck.
Yeah, 2 is pretty good. She's a gret 4-drop, and with all the 1-toughness creatures running rampant in Standard right now, she's great for crowd control haha.
whether you choose desperate ravings or think twice is up to just how well you handle the randomness, most control players can't handle it since they like being in control. But technically desperate ravings is better card draw.
Okay. I am going to test in cockatrice. I prefer Murder over Doom Blade just because of my meta in Chicago. Black and Artifact monsters run Rampant. Whipflare would also destroy any monsters I would have to defend while Lily/Nicol/Karn get to their ultimate. Talrand's Drakes allow me to get to their ultimate pretty easily. With all the flashback instants, it is nice.
Delver doesn't belong in a list with Bolas. Check out my most recent article on my blog for three different Bolas lists I built and the breakdown for each.
Just lost due to not having the right mana to a Blood Artist deck. Yeah. Delver never flipped over.
Shimmering grotto.. have 2 in my deck (but I can't afford the planeswalkers so my deck is different).
if you don't have all the colours or two of the colours and card draw available in your starting hand you have to mullagan.
Also I don't have any cards with two of any colour in its casting cost.. but even then.... I get mana screwed as well :S. will have to wait for RTR to fix the mana for us (RTR better come with sweepers :S)
I took him out for Ponders. I can't wait until M12 Rotates out as well and I hope RTR gives us what we need. Just lost to a ramp Elf deck. Random decks that you have to side against. Cockatrice is not really a good thing to use for testing.
I really like what Narvuntien suggested but I would take out think twice for Tezzeret's Gambit. Think twice is ultimately two cards for 5 mana and Tezz Gambit is two cards for 4 (or three if you wanted) plus it proliferates all those pwalkers. Only trouble is that Tezz Gambit doesn't like to be milled. I might try this build tbh and see if it really breaks the deck. Seems fun though!

Jeskai Control
Jeskai Midrange

It also sounds like you need early removal since you keep losing to weenie decks. Pillar of Flame or Tragic Slip work very well depending on your commitment to red or black and your meta. If undying is big there I'd definitely go with pillar.
Okay you have 4 cards with a cost of 7 or greater. You NEED to up the land count. 20 land is a common mistake. Only aggressive decks which curve out a 3 mana should be running only 20 lands. You should go 24-27 lands with all your large drops. I'd go with the full 4 Solemns and drop the Tarlands and assistants. Tarland is an awesome card but just not worth losing to aggro decks. Or you can use Gilded Lotus A turn 6 Bolas is almost always a scoop unless they run O-ring.
I like the idea of your downpours. I'd go with the full 4 or maybe 3 and get them to over commit to a sweeper like Black Sun's Zenith . It hits Thrun and Geist of St. Traft which are really hard to deal with with all your targeted removal. And if you go lighter on creatures the only thing you'll lose is solemns which let you draw cards.
So your game plan would be something like this
Turns 1-3: Spot removal/card draw as needed.
Turn 4: Solemn or hold off for a sweeper
Turn 5: Sweep
Turn 6: Olivia to lock down the board
Turn 7 +: Karn + Bolas
Aggro decks are pretty much at your mercy by the time you hit your sweeper. Control decks not running white won't be able to deal with your Walkers and Card Advantage.

I've been working on a similar decklist too. Just curious to know what people think of Stromkirk Captain in this deck? I know the list isn't heavy on Vamps, but he is the right colors and the first strike can fend off some threats, plus he'll give first strike to Olivia to help against any pesky flyers in the way.

I guess using him just comes down to opinion unless someone can think of a must have creature that would work way better in this deck. I guess the beauty of a Bolas deck is there's a lot of diversity among the three colors in the deck, so there are a LOT of options for the list.
I really like Lone Revenant, I'm not running Talrand though, so the Revenant is usually the only creature I have out (Olivia draws alot of hate and rarely survives long).
Also, Desolate Lighthouseis pretty nice as a one of.
Alternative win condition that's fun is Chandra, the Firebrand and Sorin's Vengeance. Chandra on her own is pretty good too.
Yeah, agreed. I think that I put enough kill spells and things to survive an onslaught of weenies and things. My side deck that I have is also up there for help. Yes...that is a forest in there. You do not know how amazing it is to use naturalize in this side deck for those O-Rings. Also, for Karn Liberated's ultimate, I have a question. If I get him to 18 loyalty counters and do his ultimate, does he still stay on my field when the game restarts? I always put him in the graveyard.
You restart the game, so essentially you just shuffle everything back into your deck except for any cards exiled by Karn. So Karn would go back into your library.
Okay then. Nice to know. Should I try to put one Dual Casting in here? I know Talrand will not benefit but being able to copy some of these spells could be beneficial.
Just had to make a deck, im making the control grixis with reanimation.
Monsters:
2x gisela, blade of goldnight
1x leviathan
Planeswalker:
2x tamiyo
2x nicol bolas
2x liliana of the veil
Sorcery:
4x pillar of flame
2-4x unburial rites <-- ive been maxing and halfing this number for a while, let me know what u think about reanimation package should have. I might go for the solid 3 of.
Side Deck:
2x blasphemous act
3x dissipate
1x cackling counterpart
3x magmaquake
2x or 3x ancient grudge for tormad's crypt and other artifacts?
still looking throughout locals for rest of side board.
I feel like i needed liliana was better to take care of geist, etc. Discard is always a plus, and since it was control, i felt with all of the flash back cards, i could essentially have better hand control. It also pitches off my gisela and leviathan in hand. Plains are actually searchable via evolving wilds to pay for unburial rites and actually hardcasting. Would always want feed back!

I feel he's much better suited in a controlish/midrange vampire deck with the likes of Bloodline keeper and Vampire Nocturnus.
