Divine Deflection - What do you think of this card? There are times when you just need to deal that last damage (opponent down to 1 to 4 life) and can't seem to do it. Whether you need to draw a creature or need to get a moorland haunt to make that spirit token or you can't cast a creature because of Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Curse of Death's Hold. I think this might be a good finisher.

Norn and Curse don't put damage on the creature, so I don't think that works quite how you think it does.
I really like this card in Snapcaster decks, but it clashes pretty hard with anything that's Thalia-based.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

When Elesh Norn, Sun Titan, Primeval Titan or any other creature attacks, you prevent damage to yourself. Then deal those prevented damage that's needed to defeat your opponent, assuming of course that you can prevent enough damage to win. This will be for those win conditions that still rely on creatures and not in milling or depleting your library.

I think it needs testing. I agree that sometimes we get our opponents to a really low life total and can probably use this for X = 4-5 to finish them off. If we still have 3-4 mana by that time, we have probably won.
It may be tough to use to protect our creatures from Slagstorm, as usually it takes us tapping for that extra creature to push our opponent to use their Slagstorm.
It is, however, something to do with our mana flood.

actually, the point where humans run out of gas and start getting stomped by bombs, is when we push the opponent below 5-6, and we either draw extra lands or cant land our threats due to elesh, curse, inferno etc. That is when the card really comes in handy. Also, when our bomb or pumped champion gets chump blocked/burned, divine deflection doesn't just save the creature, it gives us a good kick forward in the race.
I think i would try it as a 2-3 of in my humans deck.
I think this card is all wrong for humans, it's not often that the board is so clogged that we can't get a creature through. At the point where we need 5-6 mana for this to be truly useful, or we're facing down an Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite I'd much rather this be another threat, an Oblivion Ring or a Day of Judgment 9 times out of 10. Even Something like Venser, the Sojourner is a better mana investment than this card most of the time.
After reading Wescoe's article, I've tried running 3 copies. Its amazing. Against delver, as long as they don't blind flip T2, its a delver killer on turn 3. Also used it against a r/w humans player to turn his morbid brimstone into 4 damage to his face, killing him. Using it for x=2-3 kills a LOT of creatures, and can save your Geist of Saint Traft as well as extra damage on top of it on turn 4. It also saves geist from slagstorm against WRR, if you are on the play with thalia out.

I feel this card is too reactive, is only good when flooded with mana, does nothing to advance our board position, and has anti-synergy with Thalia. I run a pretty tight list, and this card isn't better than anything else I'm already playing. It's only good in a particular situation, and doesn't synergize with the rest of the deck.

I've Won so many games with this card, Just read this article http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=10474 its really explains how good it can be, won me so many games against G/R Aggro turning any combat phase into a huge tempo gain for me.
