Now that we can talk about it, anyone have ideas to adapt Naya (or any) Pod to the new set?
Restoration Angel seems like an auto add to me. Probably just a 1 or two since the 4 slot is packed already.
Might be too early to tell, but I think Phyrexian Metamorph is just going to get better as removal, and also because there is a definite shift towards aggro. I run 2 at the moment, but I could see running a third in the SB.
Borderland Ranger could make the 4 colour pod easier, and allow more creatures on the top end, where the naya versions as of late (Kibler etc) have been focusing on lower cmc creatures.
Slayer's Stronghold could also be great in a higher end Pod deck that uses less mana dorks and more 5-7 drops. Giving a titan haste is pretty devastating, especially Inferno Titan, which between 6 damage anywhere and then 8 attacking, and pretty much end a game solo.
Restoration Angel is really the only one I can remember thinking would be an auto include 1 or 2 of in pretty much any Pod.
Conjurer's Closet is a decent Venser replacement in a slow rolling build that doesn't play U.
Slayer's Stronghold is great for Naya Pod - you can realistically get to use it to give the creature haste since you can pod anything in for the low cost of 1
On the other hand, Angel of Jubilation is pretty much the only constructed playable card I've seen yet that bones Pod hard... thank God it's not splashable.

Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Cloudshift (maybe, if you have free slots)
Restoration Angel as a sure 1-2 of
Maybe the Tyrant of Discord can see some play as 1-of
Zealous Conscripts is a must have in 1 copy in main, possibly be the poddable sostitute of Act of Aggression in side

I do not believe Couldshift is playable in this deck.
However, Zealous Conscripts is deadly in the 5 slot. You can steal a Plainswalker and ultimate it, you can steal a Titan and finish, or you can untap your own pod and jump from 4 to 6.
Pod decks have evolved since Innistrad started. At the beginning the weakest spot was in the 4 drop. Then DKA came out, and with Huntmaster Pod was pushed into the top of the meta. The current weak slot is the 5 cmc. Acidic Slime is great as a toolbox versatile card, but Geist-Honored Monk and Archon of Justice are both underwhelming.
I believe that Zealous Conscripts will be a great addition to pod and as long as the t1 decks don't completely hose us. Obviously the Angel that prevents sacking is strong, so the more it shows up in token decks, the more answers Pod will need to built in.

Tyrant of Discord...blah! I hate the randomness of it. Zealous Conscripts, definitely!! Restoration Angel, definitely as well. With such strong ETB effects to pair with Acidic Slime, anyone running more Mimic Vats? Or any at all?

Don't think Tyrant of Discord really has a place, because Elesh Norn will likely take care of more problems immediately. Tyrant doesn't impact the board whatsoever after his effect has resolved.
Wouldn't Silverblade Paladin be an amazing addition in the 3 slot for Pod? Between Slayer's Stronghold and Paladin, you can reasonably get in for a large amount of damage with any creature you honestly get out. Although getting him hardcast might be a slight problem at [m]WW[/m] on a 3 drop.
I could actually see this being better than Elesh in some matchups, particularly Zombies. However, even without the anti-Zombie effect, it can still recur Huntmasters, Blade Splicers, Conscripts, etc
I really think Wolfir Avenger works very well in pod due to it's early/late game ability to flash on their turn (so you can flip your Huntmaster if you want), chump block/regen their attacker, sacrifice on your turn for a Huntmaster, and pass turn to flip. It's an incredibly strong interaction.
Restoration Angel is a great utility on a stick. Don't underestimate it. While play testing on MWS, I Pod a Huntmaster into Zealous Conscripts to steal their Stormblood Berserker, then cast Restoration Angel and steal their Gideon.
Zealous Conscripts alone can change the game depending on their board presence. And paired up with Restoration Angel brings up even more interesting things with ZC as well as other cards.
Zealous Conscripts, Borderland Ranger, and Cavern of Souls are the cards I am putting in for sure. I think Conscripts allows the deck to stay Aggro past the 4 cmc slot, and it's the card I'm most excited about. Acidic Slime, Archon of Justice, and Geist-Honored Monk were more of defensive stop gaps to me while trying to Pod to 6 cmc. I played a lot of games with Naya Pod I wished I had a faster 5 drop.
I want to give Sigarda, Host of Herons a shot as a 5cmc finisher, although I'm not sure if she's good enough to be a stopper since she doesn't immediately impact the board. Might be a sideboard card.
Here is the list I will initially run (Aggro, non-Elesh):
I am playing a lot of Humans in the list so Cavern of Souls will most likely be for that, but I think the versatility of the card is great for pod. You really can just name anything you have in your hand early (Bird, Geist) to make sure it lands. When you get birthing pod going, your creatures cannot be countered anyway.
For the deck I want to run I think Borderland Ranger is better than Viridian Emissary. It gets the land immediately whereas people are allergic to blocking Emissary so getting the land is inconsistent. Emissary has better potential to ramp, but I am not going to 7 cmc. Borderland Ranger will get me the mountain I likely need to cast Huntmaster or Hellrider the next turn. Plus he's human (Cavern of Souls).
I've cut Emissary, actually cut him before AVR. I get him like 5% of the time, he's just not worth it. Ranger is good to get a red source but I don't know if he'll be worth it for that.
The cards I like are Restoration Angel and Zealous Conscripts. Angel seems sweet- pass and flip a Huntmaster, then flip it back, or ambush a Delver or some other creature. Sigarda may be worth a shot, have to try it out. Same with Cavern of Souls. Souls will make Huntmaster easier to cast but Strangleroot harder, don't know if it's worth it.
We could have discussed a reprint of Sylvan Ranger, being a cmc2 and so replacing Emissary...but you're here talking about replacing a cmc2 with a cmc3 just because they have similar effect.
Can't do that sorry.
Sigarda.....I'll play her over Monk all day long.
True monk can become huge but....be honest...most of the times when u get it is just to ramp to a 6cmc or to block damn flyers.....
With Sigarda you don't really need a 6cmc to win, since she will put opponent on 4 turn clock by herself, and there is no better block for a flier :).
I disagree with the lack of Borderland Ranger. You never wanted to sacrifice a mana dork to get Sylvan Ranger, that play always seemed really weak. Borderland Ranger is a Human, is the perfect target for Podding away Strangleroot Geist, and allows you to block/kill more troublesome creatures in Standard while staying out of Gut Shot range.
Still need to test the Sigarda slot vs. Geist-Honored Monk, but I still like Monk since it is Human, and Pods into Inferno Titan/Wurmcoil Engine. If you run the more aggressive Kibler-style list, then I agree that Sigarda is probably better than Geist-Honored Monk, however.
Tested this list a ton against Delver last night, and finished about 50/50. The deck had mana issues despite a ton of mana dorks and 24 land. I don't get it.

Lol, lost my last 2 toruneys cos of mana screw all day long. 24 lands and 6 dorks, switching to 24 -8 now.
Anyway...when u pod your geist away, you want something a bit more powerful than a 2/2 and a land IN HAND. Something like...Fiend Hunter, Blade Splicer, Daybreak ranger.
And the main issue here (reason why i linked Sylvan Ranger), is proposing to replace Viridian emissary with the ranger...a 2cmc with a 3cmc.
If you want to play ranger feel free to do so....is not a bad card after all...just cannot replace something in a different "pod-slot" for it, or your deck will be a lot slower and will lack creature to sac at the "right" spot.
With your feedback I think I will drop Borderland Ranger from my list. He solves too narrow of a problem (mana fixing mainly for red) and does not really do much for my plan A (aggro), and I don't need him to ramp. I think I may change Hellrider to Hero of Oxid Ridge for the human creature type.
On Restoration Angel - I do not see her as an auto include in the current state of Pod. Not enough ETB in the deck to justify her imo, and one of the best ones, Blade Splicer, is likely getting podded to get to 4 cmc. Just depends too much on board state imo. Will certainly test her out though.
Im trying to test her right now. She's not really a Poddable creature. she's more of a defensive maneuver to help surprise the opponent into making a stupid move and swinging the game in your favour (ex, Vapor Snagging Bird, attacking with Delver. Flash in angel. Yes it's happened.)
Not an auto-include by a far margin but an interesting choice no less
If your playing ANY version of pod you really should be only having 2 5 drops. Kibler's runs 2, optimally normal Naya Pod runs 2. Next week what will ALL pod lists have as their 5 drops?
1 Acidic Slime
1 Zealous Conscripts
so arguing about Geist Honored Monk or Sigarda is pointless. I could MAYBE see Sigarda in a more Kibler style pod deck, but in traditional aggro-pod you don't want to pod in and out of Sigarda. I would MUCH rather have Conscripts or Slime.
Food for thought

Fervent Cathar? Allows you to swing through an opposing Titan with a hasty beater.
Soulbond anything?
Lots of Humans, perhaps direct damage Human in red?
Zealous Conscripts-
This is the only card that's an auto-include for me. This guy is nuts.
Cloudshift-
Restoration Angel-
Copy ETB effects, protect your guys, or even both? Seems solid.
Borderland Ranger-
Consistent but slow mana fixing may be worth it in GWru builds.
Angel of Glory's Rise -
I could actually see this being better than Elesh in some matchups, particularly Zombies. However, even without the anti-Zombie effect, it can still recur Huntmasters, Blade Splicers, Conscripts, etc
Hound of Griselbrand -
Probably not, the 4 drops are already pretty tight.
Sigarda, Host of Herons -
I could easily see this in sideboards, maybe not maindeckable.
Cavern of Souls-
Call Humans or whatever creature type you need to cast.
Slayer's Stronghold-
The only issue here is it competes with Gavony Township, and my initial thoughts are that Gavony is better.

Borderland Ranger~maybe,3 drop is good already, actually ,will this card make RUG pod viable again? we will see.
Cavern of Souls ~ 2 to 3 of,this is just too good in a deck with 1/2 of em are creatures.
Zealous Conscripts~seems good, but good enough to replace monk? it's hard to say.
Cavern of Souls is in for me as a 2 of.
Restoration Angel is in as a 1 of to blink not only creatures, but Pods and Cavern of Souls too

We have:

1 Llanowar Elves
