i'm having a hard time assessing this cards popularity. is it going up or down in value?
me and a few of my play friends were of the thinking its a cheap hype to ward control decks out of the meta game.
yet i'm starting to think we over looked its value in color fixing. being a creature type centered card.
is it really amazing at color fixing or clumbsy?

The card is hard to evaluate because two abilities work on different axes. The color fixing is relevant in the early game, where you need certain kinds of colored mana to establish board presence. The uncounterable part is relevant in the mid/late game, when you don't want your 4/5/6-mana gamebreaker to be countered by a 2-mana spell.
Right now, it actually has somewhat limited applications. Mono-White and Boros Humans love it; Wolf Run needs it in certain matchups. I was reading an article by Cedric Phillips where he suggested that Wolf Run Ramp should have Caverns in the sideboard. This actually made a lot of sense to me. The card is very powerful, but situational and comes at a pretty hefty opportunity cost.
However, it's absolute floor is probably like $7, because tribal decks and not having your creatures countered are two things that casual players love.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
It's really good. Having played with it last night (boros humans ftw), I can attest to its power. Granted, it doesn't fit in every deck, but hey, neither does snapcaster which has remained over 20$ for almost 9 months?

The difference between Snapcaster Mage and Cavern of Souls is that Snapcaster Mage is a ridiculous card in basically every format, whereas I can't see Cavern being too useful in Legacy and only mediocre in Modern. (Only a few decks are going to use it.)
card is very good and will be heavily played in Standard and Modern pretty much forever. any deck with sufficiently many creatures can benefit from this card and there aren't many suitable replacements, and this is certainly the best way to protect creatures from countermagic ever printed.
you have a card that is widely playable, has a unique and powerful effect, and is a land that can be included in many decks. this is the clear template for a card that will retain a high value forever.
Really? mmm All I can say i'd check out the Bazaar of Moxon deck listings in a few weeks and you might just find that it's an all star, Goblins and Wizards have been running 4 of since release.
Top 8 at the SCG providence shows only two tribal decks, with only goblins running CoS and, even then, only at a 2 of.

Creature variance in almost every deck in Legacy is too high to support Cavern of Souls. Goblins is the only deck that can make any real use of it off of the top of my head, and Goblins is a deck that doesn't give a **** about counterspells anyway.
I believe Cavern of Souls will be played in anything that has a creature base surrounding a particular type, not only because of the uncounterable aspect, but because of the mana efficiency that it has. For example, a Naya humans with a 1 drop green/red/white, will LOVE this card, because it gives them the opportunity to drop any of them.
Quite a good card, safely 8/10, bias opinion 10/10
