How do you guys feel about a couple copies of Spellskite in the sideboard? Against certain decks, I think it would really shine. Using this to combat WRR and their Kessig Wolf Run was what brought it to mind.
I would bring it in against WRR, RDW, and pretty much all the aggro decks. This actually almost seems MBable. I know its not an efficient threat, but I still think it offers a lot.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
What good does it against Wolf Run? You can stop their Solemns if they naturally draw the wolf run, but once they land their titan, your still facing 6 a turn.
Seems pretty mediocre.

Yes, although spellskite can fight off huntmaster to an extent. It neuters the wolf runs though, and stops them from incinerating your delvers. It helps.
He's not very good. Wolf Run will usually side in Grudge/Naturalize against you, so you're just giving them one more target. When I run UW Delver, I actually usually side out ALL my artifacts against anything R/G because I know they'll side in Grudge. Then Grudge is a complete do-nothing rotting in their hand. It's almost as good as making them mulligan. They'll still play scared of the Sword/Pike too.
Spellskite was better when RDW was big (along time ago), but it's pretty mediocre at the moment. It's definitely not bad, but I'd almost always want Dungeon Geists or Hero of Bladehold against Wolf Run instead.
