Nice I really like Saving Grasp, never thought about it before. I was sad at the PR when I thought it was unplayable and that the epic art was going to waste
Can someone explain the fiend hunter or o ring interaction? I'm a bit mystified as to how it all works out.

The interaction is that, in response to the Fiend Hunter's first ability going on the stack, you return him to your hand. That way, his second ability goes on the stack above his first, and when the first ability resolves the exiled creature is gone forever.

Just going to expand on that a little to make it more clear; what happens is the trigger to exile the permanent goes onto the stack, and you respond to it be returning the ORing/Fiend Hunter to your hand. When you do this, the second "when this leaves the battlefield" trigger goes onto the stack, above the first trigger to exile the permanent. The second ability will then resolve, returning nothing as nothing is exiled. Then, the first ability resolves, exiling the permanent, but the Oring/Hunter is no longer on the battlefield.

Trinket Mage -> Elixir. That could be so devastating. I could just imagine someone playing RDW into that. The look on their face would be priceless.
Its a re-tutorable timely reinforcements but with 1 less life and no tokens. Your able to bounce trinket mage seeing as how it just shuffles back into our library. It also cycles our cage to also be re-tutored for which stops people from casting stuff from their graveyards to get around our knowledge pool and curse lock.

Nice, wasn't quite sure how to use O ring to permanently exile stuff. Don't we lose the ring though?
That's what I'm thinking too. And if we lose the ring forever, then we only actually exile just one card.

We may or may not need the cage in conjunction with exhaustion and pool. I havn't tested NOT running cage but have suffered pretty bad mana flood at 25 lands and bad consistency with no instant draw. I'm considering running azure mage though to smooth things over.
Grafdigger's cage stops flashback spells ruining our hard lock and also helps to deal with undying which is a bigger issue than I anticipated, its really great if we can tune the deck to run without our graveyards.
I think I should really put a deck list up and show you guys what I have atm but the deck making tool confuses me.

How does that get around the lock? When they flashback a spell, it gets exiled just like a spell from their hand would, and since they can only cast one spell per turn, they get nothing back from the pool.
702.32a Flashback appears on some instants and sorceries. It represents two static abilities: one that functions while the card is in a player's graveyard and the other that functions while the card is on the stack. "Flashback [cost]" means "You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost" and "If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack." Casting a spell using its flashback ability follows the rules for paying alternative costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2e - g.

When Venser's First ability resolves, Oblivion Ring is moved into Exile, with promises from Venser that it gets to return to this amazing game "at the beginning of the next end step." Oblivion Ring's second ability then triggers, wanting to return Delver to it's owner's side of the battlefield.

Well, it was promised to be returned at the beginning of the next end step, and since your end step did not occur, during your opponent's end step (providing that he doesn't skip his end step as well), your oblivion ring will return to the battlefield, and will be as happy as ever, getting to exile something.

Hm, so that's how it works. I understood the first part. I just thought that Venser's ability would've been screwed over by Sundial (as in, once that endstep is missed, window of opportunity would be missed forever).

Sweet three card combo that doesn't win the game. Only three cards, and 11 mana to permanently exile a 1 mana creature.
or a titan... or a praetor... or all of the above...
Its a repeatable combo that can help stabilize the battlefield in your favor a little more.
Yes it doesn't do well against swarm of tokens, but then again that is when you just sachet bomb and be done with it.

If this deck is built correctly it's tough to play against because it has an answer for everything, but the problem is it's so ridiculously hard to build correctly
You'd be surprised how underwhelming it is. Think, how often are you against more than two creatures? This will really only hit Humans, but you'll never pull it off early enough.
However, I have this deck, basically. I put in Disperse as opposed to Saving Grasp, because it can bounce the Oblivion Rings too. The only problem is against fast decks. If anyone wants my list...? Though, I don't own any Vensers.
May as well post it. I'd be curious to see what it looks like.

Lets see what interactions we have here:
Stonehorn dignitary+ venser the sojourner = Combat lock
Stonehorn dignitary + Glimmerpoint stag = Opponent loses combat step again
Sundial of the infinite + Sudden Disappearance = Exile all their non land permanents
Sundial of the infinite + Glimmerpoint stag = Exile target permanent
Curse of Exhaustion + knowledge pool = Complete spell lock
Trinket mage/Treasure mage + Glimmerpoint stag/Venser = Repeatable tutor for either grafdigger's cage/elixir of immortality or knowledge pool/wurmcoil engine
Oblivion ring + Glimmerpoint stag = Replaceable exile instead of just temporary
Sudden Disappearance + our whole deck = Repeatable effects galore.
I can't think of anymore. Anyone got any more shenanigans I've missed? Please share!

I'm sure you can already tell what the plan is there.
I really like it alot, I was thinking about building this deck when I have the money, cool thing is most of the cards are real cheap.

Knowledge Pool
Feel free to read the card and realize why flashback avoids the lock.
Cage could also foul up various other strategies, such as birthing pod.
Edit: We don't need to worry about much in the way of flashback though; just burn, ray of revelation, and ancient grudge.
Yeah I saw the pod lists but we really want to run cage becuase this is more of a lock type deck with curse and pool and with exile tactics.
You make good points about stag and sundial though, it is a bit clunky.

My bad. Ancient grudge is a problem then....
Nope, the Ring will come back on the following end step (the opponents turn).
