Alright, so this card does have its downsides; 3 cmc, white, sorcery, and it kills curse of death's hold.
However I've got my eye on this card for beating back human and token decks that use 4-8 anthem effects.
The reasoning being that CodH isn't really as mana effective as HotP and Intangible virtue.
Paraselene is only 1 mana more than their anthems, can destroy multiples, and gives us a little life back as a bonus.
Also, I definitely do see it as more of a meta card than a general Sideboard inclusion. I know I'm going to be facing some various jank decks with enchantments, as well as some human/token decks that are actually good. So I'm considering packing this as I head off to FNM instead of Revoke Existence.
I would rather run +1 BSZ (or i guess day of judgment) and +1/2 ratchet bomb...
post board i have 4 BSZ and 3 ratchet bomb... A ratchet bomb on 2 is much more effective for two reasons.
1, ratchet bomb can hit their creatures if they aren't killing you with anthems.
2, ratchet bomb can sit on the table, keeping them from playing their anthems, or trying to force you to blow it. not to mention it nails thalia and a random grand abolisher (do those see play any longer?)
not only is it a sorcery, but it's super narrow, and even if you kill 3 anthems with it, you could potentially still be getting smacked in the face by their creatures.
i would still really like to hear how people handle Solar Flare i have been surprise intercourse with that for a while now what is your gameplan and what do you sideboard in and out?
Is there no room for it in the side Vs Tokens? They can pick up a good 3-anthems pretty quickly.
i suppose if tokens is this big of a threat in your meta... i wouldn't remove any ratchet bombs or BSZ/day of judgements. because honestly creature control is much more important than the anthems.
You just need to figure out what you're cutting for them. and if your meta really calls for it.
I don't think this is is bad match up for us anyways. if you're super worried about tokens, run 4 ratchet bomb, keep your bombs at 0 and 2 (in that order unless you already have a zenith in hand.), keep the board clear with wraths, and drop a fatty, or if it's post board, bring in 3-4 lifelinkers (2 batterskull and 1 wurmcoil should be enough)
I just think this card is too narrow, of a card to justify even if your meta is littered with humans and tokens, it still seems like a poor choice to me.

i like the idea, run it, but not as a full 4. i'm thinking 2 would be decent enough.
