Sunpetal, Razorverge, Birds and Gavony:
These cards are what make Gavony Township so deadly. In essence it creates 2/2 plus creatures without even having to try! As for Birds of Paradise? A birdy that says I make any mana is also a good polly and deserves a cracker in my opinion.
Mikeaus, Bladehold, Monk and Traveler:
We all know that nothing's better than having a field swarmed to the breaking point with creatures. Only thing that could make that better is if these creatures were 2/2 and over and had flying! Bladehold, Monk and Traveler can easily do that. Mikeaus just takes care of the bonuses. Mikeaus is out, Monk comes out. Put counters on everything, Everyone is 2/2 next turn gavony and Mikeaus, everything is 4/4. Say what?!
Hauntings, Townsfolk, White-Suns, Devotion and Reinforcements:
If somebody told me that I could automatically make tokens in pairs, flash some cards back or even return them to the deck, I'd literally die. That's why Haunting, Townsfolk, White-sun and Reinforcements need to be in this deck. Even if White sun doesn't make spirits or humans or soldiers, who cares? If I have 6 mana, that's three 2/2 cats. If virtue is out, that's three 3/3 cats with vigilance! Not to mention the fact that it goes right back to the deck once I'm done so later when I have more mana I get more kitties! As for Increasing Devotion, my friend's said that it's useless. My opinion, absolutely not. If the opponent just whipped the field using Black Sun or Day of Judgment, this is an automatic win/win card. I get five 1/1 creatures, possibly 2/2 if I have virtue out and they can become 15 1/1 or 2/2 creatures if they're still there next turn. BRILLIANT!
Intangible Virtue, Garruk and Elspeth:
Intangible Virtue is juts a given in my opinion. If you're going to get a bunch of weaklings out that are just 1/1 then why even play? With Virtue they're 2/2 and they can attack and block! It's kinda like fighting against a miniature Manny Pacquiao (Get it? 2/2? As in 2 foot 2 inches? Okay I'll stop) Garruk Relentless and Elspeth are, in my opinion, insanely good cards. With Garruk you can target a 1/1 or 2/2 creature, kill it and then transform him. If you're playing against tempered steel, kill that annoying Glint Hawk or Vault Scourge before Steel comes out and transform. If you're playing white weenies you know how annoying Lawkeeper is. Get rid of a problem and become one in a single blow! Then, once he transforms, go all out and make many pretty tokens with deathtouch! Elspeth, on the other hand, takes a different approach. Lets say it's late game. You're playing RDW and you're down to 4 life. You just used Reinforcements last turn and you still have nothing aside from 3 creatures and 4 life (say they used galvanic blast on you earlier or whatever) Elspeth gets you up to 7 life now. Next turn you have 6 tokens on the field. So on and so forth until. Kaboom. Kill everything and swing for game.
Sideboard:
So with a lot of white cards, Shrine of loyal legions is almost too good to be true. Anybody that's playing Tempered knows how annoying Steel and Opal are. Naturalize and Beast Within fixes that although Beast Within comes with extra Baggage. Day of Judgment put into play with Shrine is just beautiful. Sweep the board, pop on your opponents turn and then swing out for victory.
With quite a few low mana cost creatures, I'm not sure I agree with a MD Timely reinforcement. We really shouldn't ever be behind with creatures and if you find yourself in need of life gain or fuel after a board wipe, Elspeth should be able to get the job done.
I used to run G/W tokens, but decided to try G/W/b and so far it's been amazing. Just having black for Lingering souls and Vault of the Archangel alone has been outstanding.

My thinking on Timely Reinforcements is that it's a good card to use when the worse case scenario hits you. I mean sure if you have it in hand and don't need it at the moment it's a "dead card" but if it comes to pass that you do need the six extra life and the three extra creatures it's a definite plus. I always think worse case scenario. In that sense, worse case scenario they nuke the field and you're below in health, bam. Three creature and six extra life. If you win without using it then hey even better.

do you mind posting your mana base? im running G/W tokens and im thinking about splashing B just for lingering and vault too.
You have too much high mana spells with too few lands. I recommend that you up the land count to 24 and cut out White Sun's Zenith and a few of the Geist-Honored Monks. Shrine definitely has to be main decked. It wins games by itself.
John Doe needs a Wurmcoil. The store owner is selling them for $15. But John Smith has one for trade. He trades his Wurmcoil for a Bladehold that the store owner sells for $20. That's $35 in income that the store owner lost. Now, multiply that by the 30 or so people that play at the LGS and you can see how much money he loses in an evening.
