Hi everyone I am an avid fnm player and am right now piloting G/B glissa with alot of sucsess my record is 60W/24L/4ties with 5 1st places. I havent changed anything in the deck but the ratchet bombs, thier in thier out you now how it is. Tho I relized that they a realy good in my main deck against all sorts of stuff. All that aside I want to know what everyone thinks of this card, and what aplications you use it for.
Ha funny, but seriously do you think its beter to use on early targets or to sit thier with a few counters on it to control later in the game?
I know how to use it trust me its nuts with glissa. I have a way to destroy anything that hits the table so is worth it to a deck like mine to let ratchet Bomb sit thier or to let ride well in to the late game. By the way if you are interested in my list i only have 3 post it was my first. the deck hasnt changed much it hasnt needed to, but that list is from october and the only differance is the side board and a few case creaturs.
It is a SB card against tokens mostly. There isn't a ton that it is really good against, however, it can help with the troubling Mirran Crusader, if it doesn't kill you first.

It all depends on the matchup. You try to put it at the right number of counters for something that can be or is troubling you. Usually it is difficult to get it up there though. It takes a lot of playskill and maybe a little luck to really use this properly.

I like to use Tezzeret's Gambit in my decks and will frequently use it to add a counter then sac it that turn if I need to destroy something or a group of same costed somethings. Proliferation is amazing with Ratchet Bomb.

I think some control lists like to mainboard it - U/W, for example - but I think for most decks it'll be best as SB since you'll likely have better removal for other instances the bomb might apply to your specific game. Having a bomb sit on a number for a single threat is probably less efficient than O-Ring, Doom Blade, Beast Within or what-have-you. But, it can do the job, under the right circumstances.
Clearly no one will argue over whether or not it's good at killing tokens specifically, though.
If you have some exceptional synergy (you did just say it was "nuts with Glissa"), it might not be a terrible idea to mainboard a few. But, I'd be careful of relying overmuch on sweet interactions you don't get all the time - I wouldn't directly substitute my prime removal cards for them.
Rachet Bomb is a great tool for decks that lack hate for specific permanents, i.e. B/R dealing with Enchantments like Tempered Steel, or U/B dealing with Artifacts like Shrines.
Against Tokens (and Werewolves lawl) it's a fantastic sweeper.
Good i was hopeing for replies. Me and you and everyone else knows its good with tokens, but in all reality it good against anything with an early game.
Alright I take notes after games and heres a list of good and bad matchups.
(GOOD MATCH UPS)
-Tokens-
-Anything that flips "DFC" Delvers,Werewolves, whatever right.-
-Any deck that swarms in high or low numbers that shares an eaqual CMC like
Humans, elvs, RDW creaturs the list goes on.-
(BAD MATCH UPS)
-Any deck that use a extremly low density of permanets ike true premision control type decks. Non agro U/W or U/B-
-Decks that have no early game but ramp like hell mid-game like Grand Arch, or WRR only cause you have to race and that sucks with ratchet bomb.
-Decks with a high variant on thier mana curve like Pod decks cause you only useualy 1-1 yourself:-/
Now again with my fomer question. Rachet Bomb show us that it a good card for early on but is it good to answer late game thraets if you can sit on it for a whial?

Ratchet Bomb
Inkmoth Nexus
{T}, Sacrifice Ratchet Bomb: Destroy each nonland permanent with converted mana cost equal to the number of charge counters on Ratchet Bomb.
Full moon's rise nullifies the effect of ratchet bomb, though.
