Hi there. It's been a long, long time since last I played mtg, trying to start all over again.
With no cards at all, after doing some research, I'm starting to think that my best bet is to buy two white Innistrad event decks and build some ww to start with.
I know that some of you may think that buying single cards is always a better deal but where I live that is not the case (for instance, here buying all the rares alone from a single white event deck, cost more than the deck itself).
So without further ado here is what I put together (using two event decks and a few cheap cards, plus 2 Champion of Parrish):
Of course I would love to include other cards, but this deck alone would cost me about 1/3 of my monthly income (yes, mtg is that expensive over here).
Without playtesting yet, I feel like I have way too many 1 mana drops. I also would like to add Rebuke but I don't find room for it.
What do you guys think about it? What should I remove / replace / add?
Thanks so much for reading this and sorry for my lousy English.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. - René Descartes

I know that Doomed Traveler is useful, since you essentially trade it for a flier when it dies, but I've always felt uneasy putting it in a non-token based deck.
Bonds of Faith is an excellent card - something that can be what you want it to be whenever you need it most.
shinbatsu, I live in Argentina. I earn a decent living but I have to pay the rent, the bills and of course, the food... that is why playing MTG is expensive to me. For instance, buying two event decks, sleeves for the main and sideboard, shipping and the few extra cards (Champion of Parrish being the most expensive one) cost me around ~20% of my monthly income. A single Hero of the Bladehold cost me around 5% of my salary... as you can see, adding four of those turns out being way too much for my budget.
What would trade off for the ORing?
Neuroticneurok, do you suggest taking off the Doomed Travelers? What should I place instead of those?
Thanks!

hey i feel ur pain man. if u really wanna save a bit o cash, id suggest taking out mirran crusader. YES they r good, but not so good that if u take em out ur deck auto sucks. Id suggest
-4 Mirran Crusader
-4 Doomed Traveler
+4 Accorder Paladin
+4 Stave Off
This should be a bit cheaper but still give u umph. a 3/1 is nothing to scuff at, espcially when it has battlecry. The stave offs are nice for when they cast removal spells OR when u need to get a last hit in and u essiently make that creature unblockable (unless they have multiple colors or colorless out, but still useful)
Thanks guys for all your replies! Most appreciated.
Warmaster Rajuk, I included 4 Mirran Crusaders on the deck because I'm planning to buy two copies of Hold the Line (the white event deck from Innistrad), and each one of those comes with 2 Mirran Crusaders each. That is why there is two of them on my deck list.
Of course, if anyone else thinks that buying two event deck is a bad move, I would appreciate any suggestions! I went this route because given the local prices, I believe that there is no cheaper and -almost- competitive alternative.

Thanks again guys. I really appreciate your feedback. I know that for you it may sound weird that buying a few cards could be that expensive, but sadly I didn't choose where to born
I think for now I will follow shinbatsu advice and skip buying two more Champion of the Parrish. I will build the deck around two combined event decks and a few cheap commons / uncommons (I can buy those two guys later if needed) This should give me the best bang for the buck (at least around here).
TobyornotToby buying two event decks cost me the very same amount that buying the following:
As you can see, buying the two event decks is a no brainer for me (sadly, the other event deck isn't that good). Trust me, I would love to play with some U/W humans or something like that. Truth is that for the time being, I cannot.
PS: Again, sorry for my English.

Since your mana curve tops out at 3 CMC, I could see good reason to drop a little bit from the event deck's original 24 land to maybe 22.
That would give you room to drop in those 2 extra Champion of the Parish if you decide to pick those up later on. Although for now, since your main deck is entirely human based, I could see good reason to fill those 2 slots with the Silver-Inlaid Dagger you have on hand.
So maybe something like this if you decide to drop the land down to 22.
Once again, thank you so much for helping me with this
I've one quick question (of course, if I am allowed to ask): where can I shop online shop for single mtg cards?
I did some maths and, other than buying the event decks, is cheaper to order to the states than buying on my own country (shipment included). Yes, as sad as it gets :/

That should give me a decent entry level deck without expending that much (buying those six cards in the states cost me about the same that buying 2 copies of Hero of the Bladehold here).
IF the cards arrives (our customs agency has the habit of 'loosing' things) I will order more cards next month.
Again, thank you all for your advice!

That's a good question which I've already asked myself. I would try to explain why MTGO isn't my first choice:
Playing online requieres an international credit card, which I don't have. I can borrow one to order some single cards, but not to buy Tickets every now and then
I would like to have a deck to play along with my friends, which doesn't play MTGO
Building a competitive T2 deck on MTGO seems to be much expensive due everyone seems to have access to better decks as opposite the players around here (which are on the same boat as I do)
I really, really miss holding my cards while trying to figure out to block or not, to counter or not, to attack or not, etc
Other than that, I would love to play MTGO: seems the ONLY chance I got to play limited.
Sorry, I have a hard time trying to explain myself in English

First of all, your English is perfect as far as I can tell!
I decided to play around with the deck lists if you were to combine two of those event decks, and here is what I came up with.
24x Plains
(12) Enchantments
4x Oblivion Ring
4x Honor of the Pure
4x Bonds of Faith
4x Accorder Paladin
2x Champion of the Parish
4x Doomed Traveler
2x Elite Inquisitor
4x Fiend Hunter
4x Gideon's Lawkeeper
4x Mirran Crusader
Since your mana curve tops out at 3 CMC, I could see good reason to drop a little bit from the event deck's original 24 land to maybe 22.
That would give you room to drop in those 2 extra Champion of the Parish if you decide to pick those up later on. Although for now, since your main deck is entirely human based, I could see good reason to fill those 2 slots with the Silver-Inlaid Dagger you have on hand.
So maybe something like this if you decide to drop the land down to 22.
22x Plains
(12) Enchantments
4x Oblivion Ring
4x Honor of the Pure
4x Bonds of Faith
2x Silver-Inlaid Dagger
(24) Creatures
4x Accorder Paladin
2x Champion of the Parish
4x Doomed Traveler
2x Elite Inquisitor
4x Fiend Hunter
4x Gideon's Lawkeeper
4x Mirran Crusader
And he's inexpensive.
I've one quick question (of course, if I am allowed to ask): where can I shop online shop for single mtg cards?
I did some maths and, other than buying the event decks, is cheaper to order to the states than buying on my own country (shipment included). Yes, as sad as it gets :/
I will do the following experiment: I will combine two white event decks and order 2 Champion of Parrish and 4 Hero of Bladehold (promo).
Sorry, I have a hard time trying to explain myself in English
