Sure would be nice if we got another illusion card or two within the next couple sets.
I also hope that Lord of the Unreal, etc., don't vanish come M13.
I seriously doubt that there will be any illusions in the next two sets. However, look what innistrad brought to the table for this deck without any illusions being in it: Snapcaster mage, Stitched Drake, Moorland Haunt. . . . Those three cards are what let the Delusions build be competitive, and none of them are illusions.
I think there's some real potential in the next two sets, I just expect to see it in the form of new counterspell, removal, and aggressive blue creatures.

I agree. But it is all for naught if M13 does away with Lord of the Unreal and/or Phantasmal Bear/Image/Dragon.
Hope they keep these guys around for a few years. They did devote an event deck to them afterall...

You missed a certain 3/2 flying Insect on that list
I'm still incredibly happy with the deck, though I agree some changes need to be made. People realize that creatures with 1-butts die to Gut Shot so they've been moving to more x/2s and x/3s. I'm back on 3 Dismember in the 75 and will be trying a couple of Oblivion Ring soon. FNM is 2HG this week so I'll be skipping <_<

Ahaha, yeah, I did forget about our friend the fly somehow.
I also find it amusing that the mods stuck an illusion thread in developing competitive at the drop of a hat earlier (then almost immediately removed it), and now that it's got a rock solid top tier presence we're being ignored. . . .

Really, though. Now that the deck has placed pretty solidly in the World's Tournament, as well as other events, its now a standard deck creation. I don't see how this even makes sense.
@Majiger You sound like you've already realized this yourself, but Venser is just a really bad Gideon for U/w titan. Also, you should consider at least drake as a 1 MB/3 SB inclusion, you don't NEED titan recursion to win, it's a backup plan if you can't win the early/mid game, and for it to work, you only need any number of images in the GY, and 0-1 LotU. Lords 2-4, All the bears, dragons, and possibly other drakes are fair game for Exile. Same goes for Automation if you use a creature heavy list. In a pinch, if you really need that card, you're better off having it and exiling an image or your only lord in the GY than having a dragon or something instead anyway.
I pretty much figured that but I've just been trying to rack my brain over it. I'm running a near 20/20/20 split. I am thinking of throwing Gideon into sideboard and throwing 2 SD in.
Also I am having lots of troubles pulling Delver in the first 4 turns. I tried using him again and no cigar. I simply don't get it.
@Magician 3 - There is nothing "facepalm" about U/W Titans. You have 4 cards if you use Gideon at over 5 CMC and everything else is less than 3 if you run drakes over dragon.
How is adding O-Rings, DoJ and 2 Titans bad? It is a lot more balanced in dealing with things than Dellusions that's for sure.
Probably will never take worlds but I'm happy enough using it at FNM. Besides everyone will start SBing against Dellusions. I might as well have a few tricks up my sleeve.

What matchups are you stronger against than the Delver version? It seems to me like you still lose to the same decks AND are weaker against the decks Delver is favored against

No?
It has just as favourable match-ups against what Delver is good at plus U/W can actually win against Red more than 50% of the time unlike Dellusions which has nothing against it.
Unlike Dellusions the white is actually used in U/W titans. DoJ/Gideon allows for more control against the faster decks. While Dellusions relies solely on Ratchet bomb to get rid of tokens/low drops, I can use DoJ in junction with Ratchet Bomb.
Delver just doesn't have the room to fit everything and anything. It is a Blue Aggro deck with small elements of control, it is blue after all, while U/W allows you to play either way without even going into your SB.
It's only problem is that yes, 90% of the time it is slower than Dellusions.
After 2 FNMs, Exams coming up so I can't keep going all the time, I have only lost once against Solar Flare because I scooped by mistake without realizing what happened and to White/Swords which used Vault Skirge with Swords and Inquisitor Flail.
Every other match up was easily won. I even managed to get a win vs RDW the one time it showed up.
Yet like I said before, there is no way that U/W will make worlds because Dellusions is faster. I have yet to see it at my FNM because I really want to play against Dellusions.

My problem with the Titan build is that Sun Titan really isn't that scary. It can be chump blocked forever and has no evasion. That's the same reason I ended up abandoning Bant Pod
