they can sideboard got shots for that though. or other burn. The best chance they have at stooping control is turn 2 beast within on your land and hope you can't counter their treats afterwards.

Lol all the Valakut kids spent $20 on wolf runs and decided to keep the party going for another year. Bust out yer Flashfreezes and SoFaF's again, obnoxious ramp decks are back to autopilot their way into your hearts and top 8's for another few months.
boo for bandwagoners. i guess i will be trading my wolf run pieces away. i hate playing popular decks (hence why i don't get very far).
anti-conformist lol. People are going to play the best deck, or a deck made to beat it. Your not going to go anywhere in the magic world with that attitude.

Cause the point isn't to have fun, it's to win. And if you play any other way you're doing it wrong and it's the job of the internet to prove it to you.

Playing UX Mana Denial until Modern gets the answers it needs.
WUBRG Humans BRW Mardu Pyromancer UW UW "Control" UR Blue Moon
UW What? There's at least two very different decks in those colors atm.
UW Control? Whatever you want to call UW builds that don't run awful cards like Invisible Stalker.
@bfellow: Your event had 128 people and 2nd place got 2 boxes? Nice prize payout. AZ states paid out to like 46 places or something ridiculous..1st and 2nd only got 1 box each.

UW Geist/Aggro doesn't play Invisible Stalker. Other names it goes by are WWu Aggro and UW Humans, I guess. It's sprinkled around some of the top 8's here, so it must not be too terrible. I was just curious if you were running one of the control and/or blade variants or the aggressive WW with the blue splash.
1st mono b infect
2nd gw tokens
4th solar flare
4th UW aggro with Angelic
8th Wolfrun red (me)
8th solar flare
8th Something I didn't see

In BC I think it was about 120-130 people. I was pretty out of it by the end of the tournament, but from what I recall 1st was permission solar flare, and the rest was mostly just a mix of solar flare and wolf run - not a whole lot of variety.
I went 5-1-1 with solar flare and placed 7th. The wolf run decks I played against were very easy to beat - Valakut was much better. Sort of annoyed at my tie though as 1 more turn would have guaranteed me a win - if only I played a little faster ._.

Lol each of them got 1 box each but he must have bought a box from the store to have the 2nd one. 3rd-4th was 24 boosters, 5th-8th was 18 boosters.
Dungrove Elder was definitely a good card in the Wolf Run Ramp 1st place deck. Heavy amounts of Acidic Slime seem to help as well against O-Rings.
Ramp fares far better. Red is a sweet deck, but it's poorly positioned atm

2nd: RDW
3rd/4th: Wolf Run Ramp, Solar Flare
5th-8th: Solar Flare, Wolf Run, Mono-Black, Infect, some deck that I forget now.
I got 14th with UW, and feel like I could have T8ed had I not just gotten savagely top decked a couple of times. But that's magic.

It was Wolf Run Ramp vs. another variation of Wolf Run Ramp. I personally knew the guy who got 2nd place and winning 2 boxes and a mat is pretty nice.

The ramp version is light-years better than the red.
