This deck just swept my FNM playing a perfect night, without defeat. I'm a little worried. Didn't think it would work, but with birds and the cobras providing U mana when needed the addition of the splinter twin exarch combo works surprisingly well. I saw the combo go off on turn three twice during the night. Twin is also obscene on any of the titans. Two great tastes that taste great together, i guess...

Thanks to Zaph and spiderboy4 at High~Light Studios for the kick ass sig and amazing avvy.
Thoughts on this list? I cut Harrow since I tend to draw them in multiples, which is awkward. Also decided to run +1 Forest -1 Mountain due to Spreading Seas.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Thoughts on this list? I cut Harrow since I tend to draw them in multiples, which is awkward. Also decided to run +1 Forest -1 Mountain due to Spreading Seas.
IMO, you should go x3 Explore, x3 KHE, x3 Cultivate, and x3 Harrow. You shouldn't cut Harrow all together. I also hate, hate, hate Oracle Mul Daya... And you're running four?? Try maybe x2 Urabrask the Hidden and x2 Oracle Mul Daya if you insist on running the Oracle. I'd also go with x6 Forest, x11 Mountain, x4 Valakut, x1 Raging Ravine, x3 Evolving Wilds, and x3 Terramorphic Expanse... This is the best land setup in my opinion.
And you really should try running some kind of MD removal... I run x3 Beast Within MD do to the uncertain meta game right now.
I faced x2 twin-blade, x1 U/B control, x1 vamps, and x1 valakut mirror with cobras.
The x2 beast within main was an awesome dicision! It gives u the tech against any match up... Especially blade and twin variants. In every situation that I used Beas within, I never wished that I had a dismember. In the mirror match, game 1 my opponent was on the play... He played the first Titan, I go EOT, beast within... Then in my turn I play my Titan and pop off my x2 KHE for the game haha
And IMO, the battlement version is much more consistent than the cobra build... I have yet to lose to a cobra valakut build with my battlement valakut build
The cobra version does run battlements....And certain builds of the same deck arent better then each other from face to face matches. It's determined from how it does against the current meta in the area. BING BANG BOOM.
"I observe the slights and degradations cast by arrogant persons upon
laborers, the poor, and upon negroes, and the like;
All these--all the meanness and agony without end I sitting look out upon,
See, hear, and am silent."
This is what I have been testing to mostly success so far. I love running both GSZ and Trap MB because now I have 6 ways to cheat a Titan into play. I like having the Beast Withins because I can deal with a lot of troublesome permanents in Game 1. I also think the 2-4-6 ramp method is very effective, but sometimes I worry that I don't have enough ramp.
As far as the sideboard goes, I think I should have enough to deal with most archetypes. Terastodon may be unnecessary with Beast Within, and I'm thinking I could drop him and 1 Slime for 2 Creeping Corrosion for a better sweeper against Tempered.
The last dilemma I have is Pyroclasm vs. Slagstorm SB. Pyroclasm is a turn faster and helps sweep before Tempered comes down. Slagstorm is nice because it hits all of the 3/3 Beast and Golem tokens running around and is enough to kill 1/1s with Swords equipped. Thoughts on which is preferred right now and what I should bring to a PTQ this Sunday?
Game 1: I have a turn 4 Primeval Titan and turn 5 Green Sun's Zenith for another Titan closing the game out very quickly.
Game 2: Game 2 I get stuck on 5 lands after 2 of my Battlements eat Twisted Images and he combo's off.
Game 3: I kept a hand with a Beast Within and Naturalize, his first Pyromancer's eats the Naturalize and his second eats the Beast Within, which then dies to a resolved Inferno Titan.
2-1 (1-0)
Round 2: Valakut
Game 1: I played first and had a nuts draw. Turn 2 Battlement, turn 3 Rampant growth and Explore, Turn 4 I had a Cultivate and Beast Within on his Raging Ravine keeping him off of double green. Followed up by a Green Sun for a Titan. He scooped.
Game 2: I drew both Beast Within's keeping him off of green and resolving 2 Inferno Titan's.
2-0 (2-0)
Round 3: Caw Blade
Game 1: He had triple Spell Pierce and a Mana Leak slowing me down to a grinding hault, he killed me with Blade Splicers
Game 2: This game went long, I had a quick start and was able to resolve a Prime Time, but that quickly got O-Ringed. I ended up getting there with Avenger after he boarded out his Day's (I hear 8 4/5's are good).
Game 3: This was almost the same as Game 1, He drew 1 Spell Pierce, 3 Mana Leak and 2 Flash Freeze, and killed me with a Colonnade.
1-2 (2-1)
Round 4: Caw Blade
Game 1: He was stuck on 3 lands after Tec-Edging my raging ravine and wasn't able to survive.
Game 2: He played a total of 4 spells the entire game. 2 Preordain, 1 Blade Splicer, and an Oblivion Ring. He was gripping all lands.
2-0 (3-1)
I was really shocked not to play against Twin, it is Valakuts worst matchup (Hence the possible 9 SB cards for it) and it runs rampant at my store.
If anyone has any questions you can ask and I will share my input.

It really isn't all that great in certain matchups.
Which is why it's a sideboard card, although I think it's getting to the point where an argument can be made for it over Avenger as a 1-of in the main.
Gaea's Revenge just crushes various UB and UW lists, and isn't bad against UR Twin.

I'm not going to take percentages from a tournament seriously if it says that UR Twin is 77-23 in their favor. SCG Opens are roughly as competitive as a large FNM.

It all depends on your meta.
In a 'competitive' meta, where there's a lot combo (mirror and Twins) and control (U/x), emissary is bad.
In FNM however, he may be good if your meta contains a lot of aggro. I run 1x in sideboard and 4x Green Sun main to fetch him out if needed.
why is emissary bad against control? Bashing for turns and turns, they dont want to do anything about it, they definately dont want to kill it.
