One thing I might change is adding more Tectonic Edges.... need to play it out a few times first. I have had turn 2 swinging for 12 damage and destroying a permanent.... not often, but it has happened.
Just a quick question about the choice of Kor Duelist. I love double strike as much as the next guy but would a creature with evasion (say Kitesail Apprentice) be a better choice? I mean sure double strike, I block with a 0/1... I would rather deal flying damage since the point of the deck is to agro them out... Anyway thats my opinion.
Thoughts. Thinking about going to 20 land, really debating on the Etched Champion at this point. Auriok Edgewright I feel is superior in every way to Kor Duelist.
I really like the Edgewrights and the Champions in a defensive and offensive role. they both offer decent chumpblock abilities (doublestrike and protection) as well as having decent evasion. Both love carrying a sword.... There isn't much to hate about them.
I'm considering running 1 Sword of Vengeance over 1 Basilisk Collar. Still unsure at this point.

The deck runs about 12 fliers (Skyfisher, Ornithopter, and Glint Hawks) so it's not in great demand here. Plus, Argentum Armor or Sword of B/M on Duelist is unfair in the amount of card advantage created, especially as AA will allow you to kill 2 blockers, and swing in, and B/M gives you 2 creatures and mills half of their deck most of the time.
Sylvok Lifestaff can be a good addition to this deck. It helps against RDW and being a 1 (cost)/1 (equip) equipment is a big deal. I think it makes more sense to use than Basilisk Collar, as the Collar doesn't actually increase damage done to your opponent.

I agree that the Duelist is better, as it leads to enormous game-ending hits, but Argentum Armor doesn't trigger twice just because the equipped creature has double strike. It only triggers as the result of the creature being declared as an attacker, which happens only once regardless of double strike. You do get double the wolves and mill from Sword of Body and Mind, though.

Oh, I thought Double Strike meant that it attacks twice, once in both phases. Kind of makes putting it on a flier much more worthwhile then, though 12 damage is nice.
This is a list I've been trying:
Creatures (25):
Ornithopter x4
Memnite x4
Glint Hawk x4
Kor Skyfisher x4
Kor Duelist x4
Stoneforge Mystic x3
Kor Outfitter x2
Artifacts/Spells (13):
Argentum Armor x2
Sword of Body and Mind
Sword of Vengeance
Basilisk Collar
Quest for the Holy Relic x4
Journey to Nowhere x4
The Edges work nicely, as only Outfitter needs WW and lands are more important in this format, particularly Valakut, Temple, and Colonade. Collar is pretty useless, and I'll try an Adventuring Gear or 2 over it, as well as a 3rd Outfitter (4 seems like too many) and a 4th Stoneforge.
Has anyone though of / tested Squadron Hawks and DOJ? I remember someone suggesting it before, as DOJ lets us wipe the field, then play a Hawk, get multiple, and have cheap equip targets if we're losing a tempo/field race, which can happen. I was thinking 3x DOJ and a full squadron of Hawks.
Sylvok lifestaff is a non factor. I am not at all impressed by duelist, I'd say this deck would much prefer lynx gear and fetches. I like k"s list a lot. Here's mine.
Brave gets no love here but I like it.
See, I personally have not been impressed with Lynx in this build. Not only that Adventuring Gear on a duelist Usually outdamages a steppe lynx, even with gear.
Steppe lynx with gear: 1 land drop=5 damage, 2 land drops=9 damage
Kor Duelist with gear: No land drop=2 damage, 1 land drop=6 damage, 2 land drops=10 damage
Note the lynx obviously outclasses the Duelist when he does not have gear on and there are land drops. I still think the duelist works better with this deck.
What do you guys think of Survival Cache in SB against board wipes? The most annoying play I go up against is a turn 2 Ratchet Bomb followed by a turn 4 DOJ. Since the deck is agro, we will most likely be on more life and thus will almost always draw a card. Plus Rebound is pretty nice, so an extra card next turn aswell to help refill your hand after a board wipe.

Squadron Hawk should work well against this in theory. Although I don't like the idea of using Adventuring Gear - it's good, but I'd like to find a more consistent cheap equip.
Survival Cache is way too slow for this deck. Our CA will come from searching, with Forges, Hawks, and Quest.
Cache is bad in this deck. Squadron Hawk, Kor Skyfisher, and not over-extending are key to surviving wipes.
On Kor Duelist: He's an unconditional 1-drop. If you're running the fetch package, Steppe Lynx is obviously better for you there, but if not, you want him. If you can't get Armor online, he's still good with other equipment and completely stupid with Sword of Body and Mind. Auriok Edgewright is a dog with fleas, and you couldn't pay me to put it in a deck.
I'm considering removing Chimeric Mass for a creature.
Augury Owl and Trinket Mage are making the combo more reliable and allows to dig for solution when the need arises.
Blue brings counters to the sideboard.
What's your reasoning for Augury Owl over Riddlesmith?

At first I thought Trinket Mage would be too slow for this deck, but obviously he is putting a Memnite or Onithopter into play for you which can trigger the Quest. He can also fetch an artifact for you to put Glint Hawk into play next turn. What do you think about Elixir of Immortality as a trinket to refresh your graveyard/replenish your Squadron Hawks?
People have also been mentioning Riddlesmith for the blue splash. Have you tried him out?
The week before states we did some serious playtesting with this deck.
Sword of Body and Mind - in a world where recursion in the form of sun titan, vengevine, and eldrazis are rampant, the mill effect can backfire completely, and just refeul your opponent. This was ditched after testing.
Sword of Vengeance can be a good backup plan. The haste is relevent. actually, the entire card is relevant. Kor outfitter makes this even scarier.

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine
what do you guys think of splashing blue for turn aside? i thought about this while trying to decide between emerge unscathed and brave the elements. of course in the quest EU is better but turn aside counters both creature and artifact hate. i have 2 JtN and 2 EU maindecked and thinking of just getting the counters instead. or is really necessary to main deck removal however slow JtN is?
Lifestaff is a good addition to the more artifact-centered version of the deck which doesn't run Adventurer's Gear.
The Gear is the most explosive version of the deck, but it's also more inconsistent.
Sylvok life staff is outright horrible. I gives a minmal power advAntage and a bad second lifegain ability. Gear is much much better especially with fetches and brave.
Oh yay for Kor, I've been playing a Kor Tribal deck since I started in March, and now tey get some spotlight, It may n o longer be a traditional Kor tribal, but things have changed to suit Scars this is my current build:
Now the Deck Is a little thick but I love it, Hookmasters add a little bit of control. And Sun Titans bring back everything that dies. It is still being tinkered with, and Im considering breaking apart the tribal for this new BYO Eldrazi Deck but I haven't determined if thats what I want yet. And with Stoneforge, and QftHR why be stingy with equipment pick some big ones and go a diggin.
Anyways always open to advice so please leave some and PS my old Kor deck Bellow.
What do you guys think about adding sun titan to the list? Do you think it has a place?
My first instinct was to use him as a 2 of, but the more I look at it the less I like him. I'd rather focus on agro in the main, and in sideboard he's probably a poor choice because he only goes in against control. And Ascension is a much better sideboard choice for control.
I like Ajani for an alternate in the deck. I play with the memnites, the ornithopters, the glinthawks as well. I also splashed blue though and use thrummingbirds and trinket mages and proliferate in the form of throne of geth... after all, you can block a creature with an ornithopter or sack him since he isn't dealing damage anyway. I also play Ajani in my deck, the proliferate works well with him, the creatures get bigger and gain vigilance, and with proliferate they get even bigger after that. So they become threats even without the the armor. Plus most are fliers. You can always use his ultimate rather quickly as well and get an Avatar token.
I don't use anything BUT the armor mainboard. anything else blunts the deck in my experiences, since you want some serious control by 3rd or 4th turn. And any other equipment takes spots when you should almost always get the armor.
Plus the blue allows for a sideboard of counters of some sort.
Did pretty well but decided to make some changes and the deck is running a lot better now. Noticed some people are still running the fetch land version with Adventuring Gear and Steppe Lynx. It's not as good at all and you should stop playing it!! Trust me I tried it, it's just not as consistent. And the deck itself isn't very consistent so we can't afford to add extra inconsistency! Also Sun Titan is bad, well it's a great card, it just costs waaaayyy too much. r0gu3 stalk3r, I think you are going in a bad direction with the deck, the Kor theme isn't the way to go, you need to not be playing Armament Masters and Kor Hookmasters, Honor of the Pure is less beneficiary than it seems and Grafted Exoskeleton barely benefits and can send you in the wrong direction anyhow. I saw some people saying Sylvok Lifestaff was bad, but I tested it and it's actually really good, so I replaced Basilisk Collar with it and things have been going well, also I tested with Squadron Hawk and I now know that it's a must, so play it!! This is my current build.
The only purpose of the lifestaff is to negate agro decks in the early game.
With it you often trade a creature and gain 3 life, which is pretty efficient against rdw-style deck that rapidly lose steam and need to put a lot of pressure early.
We don't have a problem with RDW already with Purge and Firewalker. We don't need unplayables like lifestaff.
