They only have text coverage, is there anyway we can watch it live?
No. Apparently they only have video coverage for domestic GPs where they hire out ggslive to cover it for them (a la the recent GPs Providence and Denver).
I can't believe anyone is excited about this card. It is absolutely unplayable. I wouldn't even play her in LIMITED. Easily the worst walker printed since the green elf one. Absolutely terrible.
On the topic of GP Singapore, in the round 11 feature match, I noticed this:
Game 3- Albertus Law V Ben Stark
An early Goblin Guide was Dismembered by Stark before a Spellskite slowed things down. Law wasn't fussed, as he cast a Shrine to mount some pressure on Stark. Stark worked on his defense with a Phyrexian Revoker, but Law had a Manic Vandal to destroy the Spellskite. A Magma Spray took out the Phyrexian Revoker. Stark cast a Tezzeret into an empty board and searched, revealing another Spellskite.
Should that not have been an instant disqualification for Law...?
You'd think WOTC would take more care in large events like these... though I guess whoever is writing these reports has to type like lightning to keep up.

Just because this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine: having an illegal deck is not an infraction that gets you disqualified. Deck/Decklist Problem (which is the specific infraction for an illegal card, an illegal number of cards, or a deck that doesn't match your list) carries a penalty of a Game Loss.
Disqualification is reserved for cases where a player either deliberately/knowingly violates rules or breaks actual laws (theft, violence toward others, etc.).
I want to see the deck lists for the deck techs. They said the decks would be posted after the numbered rounds were done. Guess we have to wait until monday? Or are they going to forget?

Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
Tezz popped up again, he seems to be picking up popularity.
@Mobo: They make mistakes all the time in typing, like writing Wizard Replica instead of Neriok Replica and publishing a deck list with 8 copies of Vamp Nocturni instead of 4 Nocturni and 4 Nighthawks.
Yeah ofc just wanted to mention that the boros guy got unlucky , or the cawblade is more consistent than boros thus a better deck ( we all know that ^^ ) .
Quoting the third paragraph of the coverage on the mothership...
"Paulo proved too powerful for the other CawBlade players to slow down, as he won the quarters and semis in straight games. Tearing up the opposing bracket was Japan's Chakira Nakkajima, who entered the finals boasting an 7-0 record against CawBlade over the weekend."
Seems it may of been a bit more of bad luck than the consistency of Caw Blade?

True. I in no way meant to question pvDDR's skill..

If you read the coverage of the Finals, PV won because of massive amounts of lucksack.
Nothing against PV, I still consider him to be the top player in the World.
The Boros player went 9-1 against Caw-Blade overall, the only loss being in the Finals.

This guy, would either eat up several turns worth of mana to get a slow permanent that relies on your already have some board presence (after wasting said mana), or dies without generating any advantage.

10 of 18 matches played was against Caw-Blade, either he was loving it due to his build or cursing the world.

If you read the coverage of the top 8, you'll also notice that Nakkajima had a two Goblin Guide opener in just about every single game he played. The luck sack always swings back the other way.

I could win every game I play if I open with double goblin guide as well. Even one Goblin Guide. The chance of a win is probably up by 20% if you turn 1 GG.

I can't tell if you were agreeing with me or not, but that was my point

Yeah. I still love playing Boros, but I'd have to chalk up a huge amount of his success to luck. He had removal, Goblin Guide, and Stoneforge in pretty much every hand.

That doesn't help with which deck won.

Obviously a typing error, not a deck error.

or maybe pvDDR is just really good at magic?
True. I in no way meant to question pvDDR's skill..
This is obviously true, but even I could probably beat the guy with 6 when he has to mull to 4.
I'd say Nakkajima just hit a little bit of bad luck at the end. Possibly some karma coming back at him for his little "king of luck" comment earlier.
