The Splicers introduced a whole new way of making artifacts in non-artifact spells...what if we was to use that in a Shape Anew list? Blade Splicer T3, Shape Anew into Blightsteel Colossus T4, T5 = Win?
And a fun thing is, Blightsteel Colossus is a Golem too, so it will benefit from the Splicers benefit.
I think it is another way to get an artifact on to the field to make it easier to cast Shape Anew with the U/W shape Anew decks. Now you do have to wait for an inkmoth Nexus or Master's call but you have other options as well to make for more targets for Shape anew.
Problem however is that Even with Blightsteel on the field, it is not an auto win from there. Blightsteel can still get bounced and Exiled. Plus like with Polymorph you still have to protect the Artifact tokens, when you try to cast Shape anew.
That to me is what is keeping the Shape Anew decks back.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
The thing here is that even if the colossus gets exiled, you still have decent win conditions with the splicers+venser, that didn´t happen with inkmoth nexus or master´s call.
Someone at my LGS brought this up yesterday. It seems like it could be decent and catch people off-guard.

Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
I think this deck is entirely possible. It can pop out a massive threat turn 4 and curves in nicely with a turn 5 Venser (-1 Ability FTW).
I hate it when people compare this to Mass Polymorph when it's an entirely different deck. I have a Mass Poly deck. It can't do the things Shape Anew decks can and vice versa. They're both different decks.
This deck has one important thing going for it: It's rotation friendly. In October, Caw-Blade dies, Valakut dies, RUG/BUG dies, BR Vampires dies, Kuldoltha red is nerfed with the loss of Goblin Guide and Bushwhacker. After the rotation where Standard is at a period where new archetypes are being found/refined, Shape Anew is already there, having a head start in a new Standard environment.

The splicers already offer 2-for-1 with synergies with each other and Precursor golem
