After losing 90% of my games to 1 or 2 tumble magnets I thinks it's time to come up with a solution...
I don't know how or if you guys deal with it but that card absolutely breaks my spirit. I was playing classic u/w control and budget at that and he beat me by locking down my bladed creatures and he was able to deal with other threats.
My friend made a heavy u/b artifact control deck and same thing, without tumble magnets I'll beat him every time even if he casts grave Titan or whatever, if he gets it though I can't touch him...
Anyway enoug of my rambling, what's the answer to this card, I'm tin king about boarding 3 elspeths, but idk if that's worth it.
Thoughts?
I usually just run them out, they only last 3 turns and they have to use it if you swing at them with a sworded Hawk. You can also side in Divine Offering if it gives you that much trouble.

When they play contagion clasp with a couple tumble magnets, it really does shut you down for good. I think killing the tumble magnets are your best bet.
You can also use your own tumble magnets to shut theirs down, but if they can proliferate and you can't, it's not a permanent solution.
I played against quite a few decks running contagion clasp/tumble magnets the last couple of weeks and it's so good against me that it's made me want to put 2-3 contagion clasps in my deck too.
What you can do is you announce "declare attacks" They then have priority to tap down anything. You regain priority to declare attackers at which case you can animate a colonnade/tarpit etc. This has been the best way to work around magnets. Sure you might not get sword triggers but it will force your opponent to now worry about extra damage or a sword trigger while also widdling down his magnets.

You might also be able to "mind trick" your opponent by carefully selecting your words. For example, if you ask them "is there anything you would like to do before I enter my combat step?" you might be able to get them to use their Tumble Magnet on your equipped creature in response, thus allowing you to regain priority and re-equip before entering your combat step proper.
Of course, it's a little sketchy, will only work once, and won't make you too many friends. But you usually only need to connect with a Sword once to win, and as for the guy sitting across from you: he's your opponent first and foremost.

When you say declare attacks do you mean declare attackers? Is this at the beginning of battle phase. So correct me if I'm wrong, you can animate a man land at the beginning of battle phase but you can't re-equip/equip an equipment to a different creature? I think I'm lost.

When you move to the declare attackers phase, yes, you can animate a man land because it's an activated ability.
You cannot re-equip because you can only equip any time you could play a sorcery, and to play a Sorcery you have to be in the main phase with an empty stack. Except your not in the main phase, your in the declare attackers phase.
And juju was using a play on words to trick his opponent. When he asks that question, it means you've passed priority in the main phase to the opponent, and they then tap something with Magnet. Which then comes back to you with priority, because your the active player. It's a dirty little trick, indeed, but it may work if your opponent isn't paying attention.

The way you worded it doesnt make sense. You said "is there any thing you would like to do before your combat step" Basically means you are about to enter combat. If its your main phase you cannot just pass priority for no reason. You would have to ask that in such a a way like "equip, would you like to do something before i enter combat" all while asking him if the equip resolves. I personally would probably not try to do this at all but i guess if your opponent is bad in which case you should be able to just out play them.
Brass Squire. That way you can re-equip as fast effect and beat Tumble Magnet. Best way would probably be to play your own tumble and tap theirs EOT or play artifact hate.

Well, both players have to pass priority to move onto new phases.
So he's passing prority to his opponent by asking him if he'd like to do anything, which is trying to lure a Magnet activation before the declare attackers phase.
Again, I wouldn't advocate this, as a smart opponent will actually ask if you've moved phases, and answering no will put them on gaurd the rest of the match, so any mistake you make will be caught.

^this.
Like I said, I wouldn't necessarily advocate this, either. On the other hand, if it comes down to the difference between maybe winning or losing, I'd rather be on the Charlie Sheen side of the equation.

Only trouble with waiting for them to run out is venser, most decks running tumble magnet usually run venser. Divine offering or Elspeth is probably your best bet against that but just keep in mind usually found in sun titan control.
You might also be able to "mind trick" your opponent by carefully selecting your words. For example, if you ask them "is there anything you would like to do before I enter my combat step?"
Depending on how bad your Judge is, you might get Judge-Fu'ed out of this one. If your responding Judge is familiar with policy, they'll tell you "combat step" refers to "Declare Attackers Step" and unless otherwise stated, your opponent is assumed to be responding at last possible opportunity, in this case your "Beginning of Combat Step".
If the Judge says what you said is OK, he should study up.
What you want to say is before my Combat PHASE, but the word phase gets dismissed a lot, so if your opponent goes I only heard Combat, you're still back at square 1.
The Moral of the Story: Don't be shady. You can avoid investigations that way.

It's too late to activate manlands on the declare attackers phase. It's also tricky using words like "priority" since these phases aren't using the stack. It's not as though you'll get to activate the manland, retain priority and swing with it before your opponent can tap it down.

This trick doesn't do anything. Your opponent can simply not tap anything. Once he passes priority then you have to declare attackers, and no longer be able to activate your colonnade. And if you decide to activate your colonnade when you had priority, he can tap it.

Which is fine regardless because you get in with a sword.
Hold up. Say I'm the one with the Tumble Magnet, I should be waiting for something like, "Entering combat phase. Would you like to do something right before?" Now would be the best time to tumble, yes?
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Which is fine regardless because you get in with a sword.
Haha that's what I was going to say.
If he doesn't activate Tumble Magnet, then now, you don't get priority back and you cannot activate the man-land.
However, your creature with a sword is now untapped and ready to attack, which is actually better for you. I don't see the downside to this one really......
