flesh-eater imp is the true underdog here. flying and a pump effect .im just a typical magic player but that ability HAS to be amazing.

between signal pest's battle cry and than sacing them for more +1/+1 seems good enough to validate testing

This looks like a rather fun deck...what do all of you think of Livewire Lash? I like it more than Piston Sledge myself at any rate. I can just imagine myself staring at a control board with titan out and them at 8 poison counters when I equip lash to a creature and then Gopher it for game. That would be...amusing at the least.

i tried the whip in my previous GB version (pre-mbs)
and it wus crazy.. but it only worked good with pump spells, the truth is that i wouldn't use any off the 2 weapons ... i think Adventuring gear is a better shot here.

Fair point, there's also the option of throwing in Virulent Swipe or Vampire's Bite to abuse the Lash/cheap pumping. It's only good if you decide for Lash though, I'll have to get the cards and try both.

vector asp isnt very good you should drop them for another crusader, 2 more stingers, and ill just go a 4th druess

This list was featured in today's article, I think it holds some merit.

I only tried this deck for a couple rounds and it was a bit underwhelming. Basically were dropping bears with a weak effect and the other creatures seem a bit slow in a format with turn 4 Primeval Titans coming out.

I really think this deck needs to play green to get the explosiveness we need to be competitive with Giant Growth and Vines of Vastwood. To me this deck seems to be all about playing a 2 drop and going all the way with him falling back on a fatty like Skittles to finish up or Contagion Clasp to burn them out and the green helps the 2 drops get there a lot faster. I was real disappointed with the Adventuring Gears, they were not as good as they are in Boros and I'm still not sure what to think about Vatmother.

I played my list (sans Inkmoth Nexuses) with my group tonight. It soundly beat UB Tezz and Eldrazi ramp. The Vector Asps are amazing. They stick the 1 point of infect on turn 2, which is an important "milestone" the way this deck plays. Proliferating cheaply with Throne of Geth is very effective. The deck needs some tweaking, to include 3 Skitheryx, one more duress, and minus some of the other crap, but as it stands I really like it.

I'm really not impressed with Chapin's Infect list. That's a ton of equipment that you'll end up drawing instead of gas post sweep and nothing to really sac to equip the Sledge when they throat/burn in response.

@Brainfreeze: I guess Vector Asp works in your list if you don't care about your T2 drop which matters the most to any other infect deck (plague stinger, plague myr, Ichorclaw Myr, Necropede).

My list is just a streamlined aggro/tempo deck...

Yeah, I already have a ton of 2-drops in the deck. If I ran Hand of the Praetors, then Vector Asp would definitely be a bad choice. Since I use Throne of Geth to get the proliferation kill in the mid/late game, Vector Asp is a lot better than it seems because it becomes fuel for the Throne.
