So far it is undefeated in my local meta of nearly every deck there is.
It is very fast and can hit gigantiforms on myrs turn 3 for possible 9 poison counters.
Same with putrefaxes.
I don't understand why anyone would run the Zendikar fetches with only one of the land types they can fetch. Mind explaining it? I've seen it quite a bit, but I just don't get it.

It's for deck thinning. Whether or not it's statistically significant is a different story though.

Undefeated? Hahahaha I'll offer to play you straight up with my U/B control for $50 a match, but anyway....
For constructive criticism, why are you playing cultivate? You're monogreen and so you don't need to find colors, and there's plenty you'd rather be doing with your mana than finding more on turn three.
Yeah the fetches thin the deck out very quickly.
The cultivates were in there to thin out the deck too and to offer ramp if i didnt hit the treespeaker, which i have always hit so far.
After just finishing and losing a game then on MWS it was because i had no ramp so i will take them out and replace them with elves, giving me 8 one drops that give mana.
Atm until i get my sideboard up and running i think black control would rip it apart also.
And canopy cover just seems to slow. I aim to hit fax or gigantiform turn 3, but i think it will go sideboard for creature heavy decks with blockers.

Did you run into any red decks at all that plays burn? Because thats is on weakness that I see infect deck having. Unless its backed up by giant growth and vines of vastwood (depending on who cast what first).
But Gigantiform on infect. I seriously like this idea!

Changing the order of the top of your deck. If you find yourself needing better draws why not crack a fetch. The usage of 8 fetch's in this deck might seem a bit off due to only being mono colored ( I am a bit confused but I won't judge till I test it out).
Okay i will explain the use of my fetches to people who dont seem to understand.
This deck is extremely aggro and aims for turn 4 wins outright.
By using a crack fetch instead of a terramorphic or evolving wilds the land enters play untapped which means it thins out my deck with almost no drawback which reduces the chance i will draw a land when i need a gigantiform for example.
The 1 life is nothing to pay.
No i havent played against burn yet but i have now switched the giant growths for Groundswells and put the growths in sideboard for match ups like that. ANd over all with my fetchs groundswells are better anyway
And yes i have loved gigantiform ever since my first aura deck so it was almost a must considering its power. Im suprised at how little play its gotten with infect.
Ever think about running Plummet, just in case? I don't know if it would benefit you or not, but it seems like it could possibly help you in certain scenarios.
I'm sorry but I can't really see how this deck goes undefeated. Rolls over to Ratchet Bomb, Pyroclasm, DoJ, can't contain other aggro decks, cannot do a single thing to stop control from taking the reins of the game other than hope to every god in every pantheon that you get a win before. Sure, gigantiform might make you win games in turn 4... if your creature doesn't get Doom Bladed, Into the Roil'd, Condemned, Journey to Nowhere'd, Lightning Bolt'd, Arc Trail'd, Gatekeeper of Malakir'd... should I continue?
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
It's not that bad.. the deck without opposition I'm sure can turn a 4 turn clock pretty consistently. And if decks are relying on stuff like one for one removal, stuff like Vines of Vastwood is pretty good. It only takes pumping a creature or two unblocked to win. I've seen infect beat Goblins with a near nut draw. Of course that poison deck ran Doomblade and black.. but an untapped poison creature and giant growth or Vines can do similar. So against other aggro decks it can get them when they don't expect. That being said, I do agree that this deck bows to Pyroclasm and DoJ.. but it preys on decks relying on one for one removal and not much of an early game and can race aggro if played smartly. The lack of Evasion hurts alot.. no Plague Stinger etc.. people wisen up after facing this and just block... If you have to trade a pump spell to trade with the opponents creature they widdle down your resources. If control gets past turn 4-5 the infect deck should be toast.
I can't see this undefeated record maintaining long. Once people figure out how to play against infect (realise who really is the beatdown, or that they need to block) this sort of strategy becomes more fragile.

Can you mathematically prove that the thinning is significant enough to make the life cost worth it? I've seen a fair number of games come down to 1 life, but I've never seen a game where a single fetchland made the deck draw amazingly.

An ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Removal of the source after that time won't affect the ability. Some abilities cause a source to do something rather than the ability. Any activated or triggered ability that references information about the source checks that information when the ability is put onto the stack. Otherwise, it will check that information when it resolves. If the source is no longer in the zone it's expected to be in, its last known information is used.
this deck tickles my fancy, i must build and try it out. though burn would worry me, cause something tells me it would be kinda in burns favor, but i guess you could say the proof would be in the pudding.

awesome sig by heroes of the plane and xenoninja, thanks guys
I would imagine that the Llanowar Elves should be Birds of Paradise. The extra 1 power doesn't get you much, but the flying on the bird might give you a better blocker, or a possible kill with a Gigantiform and some other pump if they kill all your infect guys.

Actually, you have. Any game in which someone has poped a fetchland and won, is technically becuase of that fetchland. It just doesn't seem like it. It might not seem like it is important (and frankly, it barely is), but drawing one card from a pool of 40 cards with 10 land less, is worse then drawing a card from a pool of 39 cards with 9 lands left.
The main idea to understand here is one of the black principles: You have 19 life just sitting there. Use them to win. If it has 20 life left when it beats the oppoent, thats the same as having 10 life left when it wins. And in a speedy deck like this, if your oppoent gets you down to 4-5 life anyway, you have most likely already lost. This deck is the aggressor and should always be trying to put pressure on the opponent. When it loses, it will lose becuase it ran out of gas and was eventually controlled of outraced, but very rarely will someone be able to match a deck like this blow for blow and kill it first.
Plus, for this deck, it also triggers the landfall on groundswell.
Basically he was saying to just reduce the probability of playing the lands since due to fetching. However, this not necessarily mean that you might get gigantoform. the draw is still random so you can never expect you might draw it everytime..
I think you would find that going down to 23 lands in a deck like this that doesn't need to get more than 3ish land would be more significant towards thinning than the fetches as it would reduce the number you cant reduce with fetches, which is the average number of lands you start with in your opening hand and on the draw if you go second.
How does this deck not scoop to pyroclasm though? If you ran adv gear you would at least be able to crack a fetch in response to save your dudes.
I like the whole green aggro idea, gigantaform is sweet of course, but there are a few cards that feel like you would just scoop to, mostly in red.

I think the general idea is that there is so little hate directed at small creatures right now, you might not run into a pyro all day, and even then, they might not draw it. Right now, only boros is really effected by pyro, and not even very well. And with B/U control, W/U control, and U/G Wave not even having access to it, you might see 50%+ of tourney decks not even able to run it.
When i made this deck i had in mind trying to catch general competitive decks off guarded.
Like it has been said above nearly half of top tier decks cant even run pyroclasm.
Also the deck is designed to be aggro so the life loss doesnt matter from fetches. If im dying to their creatures im pretty much dead already.
Yeah i never thought to put adventuring Gear into the deck, I will have a look and post any additions.
And yeah birds do make a better blocker i just didnt have another play set of them when i made this deck but i will swap them for now.
