I guess spell shrivel would be better. It's only one blue and should be able to counter most of the format. Dispel only gets instants. I fell like that's too narrow no?
I dont want to play the countrol game, draw go, I want to jam my threats and make sure they resolve for only 1 blue mana
Dispel can get disallow, it can exile Ulamog's ABILITIES, exile as casting OR the mill trigger so I want to make sure both of those abilities resolve.
If you play against a control deck and defiant chandra is at her ultimate, they might have disallow or summary dismissal so play it smart.

I agree with Red. We should worry about our spells resolving versus theirs. A simple counter like dispel is enough. Other versions do sideboard Ceremonious Rejections and Negates but it depends on the meta. Marvel will never beat a counter battle so its better to go aggro and save your one or two counters to protect Ulamog or a Marvel activation.
In testing, Aetherwind Basker has been doing extremely well. Maybe it should just go into another deck, but I do like it. I might put 2 Ishkanah, Grafwidow back in the main. Most testing is needed.
I'm testing the following deck list. I took everyone's opinions into consideration. I really like the synergy between Whirler Virtuoso and Inspiring Statuary. For 3 energies, you could produce a pseudo mana dork.
I think I have come up with a decent list. As soon as I can figure out the deck tags I will post it. I think the added pressure of Whirler Virtuoso and the ability to make tokens is a big deal. There are not a lot of board sweeps in the format right now. Fumigate?

Descend upon the Sinful, T4 Hedron Archive gets it for you on T5, T4 if you play Servant of the conduit
FINALLY got on Xmage, AKA play MTG online for FREE!
SO should I play this post ban list or just continue rocking Emrakul till the end?

I recommend your post-ban list. I've been testing my list on XMage too. Today will be the last day I'll play Emrakul Marvel at my FNM. #goodgame
Next week's FNM will be the real challenge. I expect at least one Saheeli's Twin deck.
I'll provide more details about my matches. I hope you'll do the same too.
On a side note, Nissa's Renewal has helped me before to cast Emrakul and its doing a fine job now with Ulamog. I only run a 1-of though.
With Emrakul banned the mindbender is the next best option to wreck an opponent's hand turn 4 or 5, it can't force them to attack into a giant 13/13 so I think it's more of a sideboard card to bring in when you know your opponent isn't going the aggro route.
4 servant of the conduit
3 glint-sleeve siphoner (great at generating energy and using it to dig)
3 Ulamog
2 Noxious Gearhulk
1 Demon of the dark schemes (could be 4th Ulamog)
2 Ishkanah
4 wood weavers puzzle knot
4 vessel of nascency
4 attune with Aether
4 aetherworks marvel
4 grasp of darkness
3 Liliana
I want to go to 4 Ulamog, but having one trapped in hand has been terrible. Siphoner has been good at getting in some damage, generating energy, and drawing cards. Kinda plays the role of virtuoso in the U/R version. Still fun to bin Ulamog with vessel or lili, then play demon and get Ulamog back.

I like this, I think this has legs!
I like that demon! Especially being able to cheat stuff from the Graveyard into play at instant speed!
A lot of energy made with puzzle knots!
I think 3 Ula is right!
I never would have thought the B/G would wok but this deck seems to have something. I love grasp as opposed to harnessed lightning. the -4, -4 kills most of the format and if it doesn't kill a creature it allows us to make good blocks. Might be on to something here.
I'm really excited to play this deck post-ban as I hated playing with Emrakul. Here's a Jund version I brewed, any thoughts? Once I do more testing, there will be less 1 ofs and more consistency, I think. I'm worried about the mana base, though. Lots of CC costs.
I have been putting together the R/G/U version of the deck with Emrakul. Then obviously the ban happened.
I want to move the deck to casual, but keep the original delirium theme, only update it with the new set, keeping the Kaladesh feel. Is this the rite thread to ask for update advice on the pre-ban version please?
I've been playing with 3 copies of Demon of Dark Schemes and only 1 copy of Emrakul for two months. On xmage, the deck has been virtually unstoppable. At my local gamestore, it went undefeated the first week, and then 2-2 the second. I tried something different during the second week, which is what led to it's demise. Demon of Dark Schemes was the big enabler to it's success. Not Emrakul.

I can update a decklist tomorrow if it is.
Thanx
This thread is all about standard Aetherworks Marvel. Feel free to post up your deck list as long as it's standard. At this point, we are no longer discussing Emrakul Marvel since the ban is this Friday. The current discussion is emphasizing on post-ban ideas for Marvel.

This is what I am looking to run this Friday. I can post the sideboard too if needed. I just cant remember it off the top of my head. I'm also thinking about changing the Nissa's renewal to a world breaker. Any thoughts to that?

do you have enough forest/mountain for those Game trails? maybe -1 trail, +1 Forest? http://www.channelfireball.com/articles/magic-math-shadowlands-and-battlelands/
MAth says you should have 10, we are 2 short. adding a forest and removing a trail will help ensure your T1 land drop and cast green.
With 10 spells wanting untapped green mana T1, 14 sources are ideal, you have 14 with 2 trails, 4 hub, 6 forest and 2 sanctum.
I think thats pretty solid
Since you're running 20 lands, I will cut out a Game Trail for a Forest. You have at least 6 cards to tutor lands so you'll find what you need. On top of that, you have Servant to help you mana fix.
As opposed to a mountain or another land?
If you dont add a forest then your are reducing the percentage of casting one of your T1 green spells.
If you dont add a forest or mountain you are also reducing the chance of the Game trail coming into play untapped.

I'm thinking world breakers will replace Emrakul.
