I'm also really interested in hearing peoples sideboards.
I'm going to mono white, and so far I have:
3 Silkwrap
3 Henweir Militia Captain
3 Eerie interlude
2 Bygone Bishop (one is in main board)
1 Anafenza (1-2 mainboard) Thinking she may work very well against mirror and Bant CoCo
1 Stasis Snare (mainboard removal is 4 declaration in stone, and 2 stasis snare)
2 Leaning towards hallowed moonlight
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also would love to hear peoples thoughts towards bygone bishop main or side.
In mono-white, bygone bishop is probably better in the main. Most decks will try to trade with your board until whatever reasonable creatures they have oursize yours and cut off your ability to go wide. Bygone Bishop fights that while also flying over most stalled board states. Given how packed our two-drop spot is, I actually like him over Anafenza.the rest of the board looks fine, but The meta's in flux right now due to the pro tour, so just be mindful of weekly shifts.
Why dont splash red to Lightining Berseker, Impact Tremors( works well with eerie), lighting axe as a finisher and magmatic chasm for hit almost unblockable
I am playing W/R Humans and there is good synergy with Lightning Berserker, Thalia, and Bygone Bishop. I run the Bushwacker who is great to Surge with Kytheon.

I came in 4th at Game Day yesterday with this GW Humans Deck. I lost to Seasons Past and Bant Coco. I really like Sigarda and Tireless Tracker, but they put the deck into a weird spot between Aggro and Mid-range where I feel like I need to either get rid of them both to speed up the deck or make the deck more mid-rangey.
Game 1, I don't really remember, I was stuck on two lands and it was over pretty quickly. Something, something, giant sylvan advocate. :/
Game 2, He played collected company into 2 bounding krasis. By the time I could recover he flipped a hidden dragonslayer to kill a giant tireless tracker.

I like this list quite a bit, I'm thinking of running something very similar this coming Friday. I have a couple questions for you based on your experience with the deck.
Do the Dromoka's Commands belong in the main deck? I definitely think they're important cards to have in the 75, but I'm wondering how much of an impact they're making in Game 1. Moving two Duskwatch Recruiters into the main instead can up the aggressiveness of the deck a bit, while creating an even greater advantage later. Or, if you wanted to go more midrangey, you could swap those two for 2 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. Those two Commands, in my mind at least, seem like they could be flex spots basically. Thoughts?
When did you bring the Dragon Hunters in? It seems like those are competing with Hanweir Militia Captain for sideboard spots, and it also seems like they would be brought in for similar situations (Opponents with no sweepers and/or little spot removal, etc.). How were the Dragon Hunters for you?
Ultimately, I like this variant quite a bit. The main attraction to playing a blue splash is Reflector Mage, sideboard counterspells, and Ojutai. Tireless Tracker had proven to be just as powerful, in many ways, as Reflector Mage. Sigarda is a different type of card than Ojutai that relies less on Always Watching and synergizes well the overall game plan. I'd love to see her become a force in Standard, just for nostalgia's sake from the first Innistrad block. Good job man, I'm excited to play this variant!
Those going GW, how do you feel about Lambholt Pacifist ? It's a big body and with Dromoka's Command, Always Watching, and Thalia's Lieutenant it might not be that hard to turn on.
So far not a problem as I am only running three of them. I could see it as a problem if you run into variance issue (mana screw), but I usually end up with Needle Spires (most of the time for some reason) or a Battlefield Forge and a Plains in my opening hand. Lightning Berserker is great to build counters on Thalia, get Clues from Bygone Bishop, and dodge sorcery speed removal (as he is always Dashed out). He also works great when Impact Tremors is side boarded in against control (and all of your cheap creatures coming into play dealing damage). Reckless Bushwacker is the MVP that can flip Kytheon as early as turn 3 on curve if the board is right. You should have one, maybe two creatures on the board, cast Kytheon and Surge Reckless Bushwacker, and swing for some damage. Flip, and untap a blocker with indestructible to block your new Gideon. Lots of lines of play and a possible chance to flip Westvale Abby, or have Dragonmaster Outcast get a 5/5 flying Dragon on the board.
Hi, frands. I normally play modern but love gameday events so I was a slapped together standard player for a weekend. My Wx humans, that I didn't buy much for since I won about a box over prerelease and bought 1, is a little more synergistic than most. I got 4 Kytheon in foil $11 each for modern (maybe zoo or humans) and like him. I was an avid proponent for BW warriors and figured why not have a warrior subtheme in Wx humans. So, splash B for Anguished Unmaking, which I got for modern, and had Caves lying around and only had 1 Declaration in Stone. So the idea is t3/4 drop AF and DS a 3/1 flying or 4/1 flying warr. If no warriors still procs Lou. 1 Odric for the dream of t4/5 whole team flying & double strike, he did finish 2 games or so.
-Went 3-2 at FNM placing 13/30. Then played 4 gamedays at 4 different stores.
-Early Sat I barely missed top 8 with 3-2 around 30 people; I lost to BG Dark Petition & Seasons Past love the deck, hated playing against, I did not SB properly vs this matchup all weekend just tried to race and not play around Languish with Eerie Interlude. Also lost to BR midrange.
-Got 4/8 at the late one losing to GW humans, which is the best splash because of that stupid CoCo card tied BW allys/aristocrats?
-Early sun got 4/15 with 3-1 barely making the cut to top 4, we split and played for the mat and 2 of us quickly dropped for the 15 packs and to make it to last one of the weekend. I lost to, surprise, BG Seasons Past. Cracked these packs and got a 2nd Declare!
-Late Sun got 7/21 with 3-2 (10credit). Punted HARD against BG Aristocrats. G3 5/6 turns in and then 3 turns of my drawing playing land, swinging w 4/4 Knight of the White Orchid and passing hoping for Gryff's Boon to fly over or 1 of the other 8-10 pump cards while I had 2 boons in my bin... Needless to say I was livid that I dropped the ball, not my deck getting mana flood/screw which was common. Then I lost to GW Tokens? Then beat mono U mill and Bant CoCo to get back to top 8. The BG Aristocrats player got 5-0 and the mat... I did enjoy his deck and playing him at least. Cracked 4 packs (credit/trade) and got a 3rd Declare, woot.
I actually had fun with the deck and the other decks in standard. With BG Aristocrats being the most frustrating with all the chump blockers.
Not sure how I feel about the Black splash. Basically splashing for Anguished Unmaking which, while more versatile, seems like is just worst for the deck than Declaration in Stone. I guess if you only had the one for your deck then I can see you making it work but this deck really only cares about bodies getting in the way so I'm not sure the extra versatility on Anguished is worth it. Interesting sub theme with the warriors though.
I've noticed this deck has a REALLY tough matchup against Season's Past control. They have the early removal to hold me off and then they get to Season's Past and reset their hand. I can't seem to fight through. Anyone come up with any secret tech for that match? Vryn Wingmare has been helpful but I still don't think it's enough because it comes down the turn before they Languish on the play and it may be too late on the draw.
Maybe Eerie Interlude is what I'm looking for but playing with that 3 mana up is difficult when I want to drop an Always Watching. I haven't tested the card myself yet but maybe you people can convince me with some experience.
I don't feel like I have a ton of trouble with any other matchup so this is one I'd like to focus on shoring up at the moment. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Well, today I went 5-0 with the deck in a Friendly League (woo) - Uploaded all the games to my Youtube.
I still make really minor mistakes with the deck like pumping the wrong guys with Annointers and missing a point of damage here and there.
I'm so used to killing my opponent in really big swings (came off of playing Ramp and various Constrol strategies).
I still feel underwhelmed by Consul and Anointer, I'm definitely open to try out a copy of Anafenza though.
Does anyone have any good suggestions for a Mono-White list?
I played the boss humans build in three game days this weekend and it ran pretty well. The first two I had to play without a sideboard and that hurt me a lot. I went 3-1 and 2-2 in the first two, making top 8 in both but there was no cut to top 8. All three losses were to black decks and I was specifically maimed by languish and infinite obliteration multiple times. In the third game day I went 4-0 (I played a black control deck but he drew poorly and I was fortunate to 2-0 him) Unfortunately I kept two one land hands and never drew the second one until it was too late in the quarter finals. I lost to a R/W eldrazi tempo deck but I chalk that up to mana screw, not a bad matchup.
So the reason for this post is to figure out how to combat black control and sweepers. I'm not afraid of Kozliek's return because I can usually outrace it and they have to get their mana just right to cast it turn 3. If they can't cast it until turn 4 most of my guys should have more than 3 toughness. Getting to 4 toughness turn 4 though is pretty impossible and there's no way to stop infinite obliteration regardless. I like the invasive surgery suggestion because it deals with both cards for only one mana. I can't decide if it's worth running main board though. If I run it sideboard I also have to fill the sideboard with blue mana sources to play it, effectively cutting down on other good cards. Are there other decks than run a lot of sorceries that make main boarding invasive worth it?
Yeah, like I said, it was a rush job for sure. And of course it's greedy but I like fix alls and it worked out more than it didn't. If I wanted to be a serious standard player I'd go WG human warriors. Drop the 4 Dromoka Warriors for Duskwatch Recruiters drop others for Den Protectors and put in 3/4 Dromoka's Commands and Collected Companys which I have 3 of so that sounds fine.
I really like the Ulvenwald Mysteries idea. Maybe drop an Always Watching since it doesn't interact well with it for something else? I haven't played the list so I don't know how often something like that comes up. Also Tireless Tracker should definitely find a way in there too.
I went 3-1 with my Boros Humans deck last night at my LGS. My list is in the above thread.
Match 1 vs B/W Control. Lost game one stuck on 2 lands, great opening hand and knocked him down to 10 life when Avycyn and Sorin came out to play. Game 2 got the nut draw, turn 4 cast Knights into a plains, a land for turn, cast Kytheon and Surge Reckless Bushwacker for 12 points on top of 4 chip damage from early Thraben with Thalia counter, he scoops up his cards and moves to 3. Game 3 flooded and couldn't get gas to finish him off.
Match 2 vs Sphynx's Tutelage mill deck. Game one he had mill and counters but not enough to stop the Bushwacker combo. Game 2 milled me to 16 cards but was able to get off Bushwacker/Kytheon.
Match 3 vs. U/R Dragon Control with Thunderbreaks and Icefall Regents. Game one I chipped away and then Bushwacked. Game two I got a slow draw and he had the nut draw. Game 3 it was close I attacked and Bushwacked, he neglected to block with his Icefall, as he had an Ultimate Price in hand, counted the two Always Watching in play but didn't figure in the Bushwackers +1/0 ability.
Game 4 vs R/G/U Dragon Control. I got him pretty quick with chipshot damage and then the Bushwacker shenanigans. Game two was a close fight with both of us at 7 life. I top decked Lightning Berserker, and animated Needle Spires to swing with two other creatures on the board. He had a blocker but miscalculated damage with Always Watching and that the Needle Spires has Double Strike. Another squeaker!
Fun deck to play, I am trying to tighten it up. Need to optimize the mana and may be distill the main deck a little more. Got close a couple of times to getting a 5/5 Dragon and almost got to flip Westvale Abbey, perhaps next time. Any feedback would be gratefully appreciated.
I ran this to a 4-0 1st-place finish a small Game Day this weekend. I defeated Esper Dragons 2-1 (Sigarda and maindeck Dragon Hunters were huge and there was an unfortunate missed Clue tolken,) GW Tokens 2-0 (Archangel all day,) Seasons Past 2-0 (my opponent had awful draws) and Superfriends 2-1 (it looked bad but after G1 I had very smooth draws.)
The plan of being aggro G1 then boarding in removal and fat fliers has been really good to me. I think I will try to move the second Sigarda to the sideboard for another Kytheon or Militia Captain.
How do people feel about Vryn Wingmare ? I completely forgot that this card was standard legal until the GP. I like the idea of it a lot but my friend says its too slow but the match ups we bring it in against, we can afford to be a little slower since it also slows them down considerably. Has anyone else been trying it?
I like the idea of spamming creatures, then after they cast Read the Bones on T3, you cast Vryn Wingmare, making all your guys survive one more turn before Languish hits.
